What a cute place along the seaside for a little shopping. It's across the parking lot from a entertainment waterpark. This little shopping village Had a variety of shops. A pet supply shop, freshly made fudge shop, a bookstore, a Christmas themed store, all sorts of beachy themed housewares and jewelry and comfortable hygge style clothing. Since New Jersey the kind of state where you really should make sure you keep a handy collapsible shopping bag in your prayers in case you shop. There were some lovely foldable shopping bags and I bought a bunch of them because not only do I wanna keep them in my prayers but I wanted to gift some of these as well. They were very adorable. They had cat themed and nature themed and I really like the nature themed ones. It was an enjoyable shopping village. Nice to get steps here. And then take a walk over to the beach for some photos. Very interesting and eclectic set of shops ranging from clothing and jewelery to Christmas decorations and pet supplies. There are also some very unique places to grab a bite to eat or get a coffee. They layout of the place is very interesting and it's a lot of fun to walk around and take it all in. Stores like the LBI Book Swap, the surf shop, the olive oil shop, etc. are all great spots to grab a gift for someone in your life. This place is a stone's throw away from Ship Bottom Brewing and Fantasy Island, as well. Recommended! read more

BEACH HAVEN (LBI): at this #jerseyshore destination, Bay Village is a cute outdoor shopping area with eclectic stores and eateries. It is just big enough to enjoy every store and still have energy for the beach and other amusements on the island. Dogs are allowed in most stores! The owner travels all over the country looking for the best pet food and supplies and her passion for pets really rubbed off on us! I've enjoyed walking around these shops for 30 years or more. Yes we like going more off season because the crowds are gone but sometimes we they aren't bad on season this is not one of those times. CoVID is not keeping the kids away!! All the shops have the same tourist crap shirts and Knickknacks but I still like walking around. The shops are trying to do there best but just walking around shop to shop there is absolutely NO social distancing and barely anyone was wearing a mask. Big groups of kids are walking around all over the place only a few wearing masks. To be clear when I say kids they look to be ages 15 - 20. It's extremely hard to avoid them or walk around them, there where way to many to avoid. So we left and I would NOT go back until after this crap is over. If kids can hang out in (NOT wearing masks) big groups of 10 to 20 kids all summer long then why is there such concern with them going to school???? At least the schools will make them wear a mask while in cla A group is a group! read more

There are places to shop all over LBI, but Bay Village takes it a step further and jumbles a bunch of touristy shops into one outdoor mall. A lot of the stores are typical Jersey shore; an ice cream stand, candy store, one of those places where you can get those wooden signs with the inspirational sayings on them, and at least two stores that sell nothing but LBI t-shirts and sweats. Two standout stores for me are Country Kettle Fudge Shop and yuleTIDE Christmas Shop. While both of these shops fit into the aesthetic of Bay Village, I found both stores to give super service while providing things that caught my fancy. While most of the stores are uninspired, Bay Village is a good place to walk around, pick up a few things, and kill some time. It's adjacent to Fantasy Island theme park so you really can make a day or night out of it. Happy shopping! read more

Lbi is known for having bay village it's the hang out for any age of kids. Stores sell great things and the jewelry store never fails to amaze me. Went in yesterday seeking a sea glass necklace and to my suprise they had many. Also got a bumper sticker for my car. This place is just great to walk around and browse in stores. Bring some cash because you're bound to find someone you love and it's pretty pricy in some stores, there's food places everywhere, a great candy store, surf shops and not to mention more stores across the street, get there early tho if you want to find good parking read more

Bay Village is a good place to walk around but the definitely cater to the tourists. It seems very repetitious as most stores sell the usual LBI logo shirts, magnets, shorts...etc. They do have a Philly Pretzel Factory which I happened to stop into and purchase something. They have an old pirate looking ship but you are not able to go on it. Decent picture taking opportunity. For the most part if you want to pick up a quick souvenir it's a good stop. They also have the token Ice Cream shop and even a sushi place(?). read more

Both the wife and I used to be bigger fans of Bay Village. The stores seem to be less and less like the boutique-y shops they just seem to be pandering to the tourist trap mentality. Such a cool place to go hang out for a night! The stores at these sort of beach places are always super cheesy, so I don't even bother. Its also expected to be expensive so I won't complain about that. My husband and I had a blast walking around getting ice cream, fries and playing games in the arcade! There are really cool rides here too like a board walk, but on the bay side! Go check it out, you won't be disappointed. Only down side is a lot of the places on the island don't take credit cards which can be a bummer. read more

Cute stores selling crappy LBI paraphernalia and little kiosks selling tasty fudge treats, clam chowder and coffee. It's a step up from Seaside style shops and food. There's a nice little park you could watch the sunset from right behind. read more

In need of some shells to bring home from the beach? Maybe you want some sea glass earrings? drift wood to enhance the decor of your home? Or perhaps you want to pick up those LBI t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, sweatpants, pajamas etc etc etc? Useless trinkets? Need some sunglasses at the Sunglasses menagerie (yes real name of a store here)? Fake tattoos? Maybe check out the arcade, mini golf, and mini amusement park? Oh I know - you need fudge! Well never fear Bay Village has all that and more!! Tons of little shops selling all kinds of stuff from compete shit - to some cool stuff. But I need to know - who the hell buys all these shells? How many shells does one need? Everywhere I turn in each store it seems there are baskets, bags, and boxes filled with shells. It's a fun area for kids - lots to do and see. I'm not sure if the amusement park is technically part of Bay Village, but they are all right there within walking distance. If you want to pick up that must have vacation T you are sure to find one you like in one of the many stores selling clothes here. read more

Located between Schooner's Wharf and the water park, Bay Village is a unique collection of shops and eateries. Has the only brewery on the island. Great bakery, famous fudge and award winning clam chowder. Fireworks take place adjacently as well as many major festivals. Easy access on foot, by bike, by car or by the free LBI shuttle. read more

Like others have noted, it's definitely a touristy spot. That said, it's been an island staple for as long as I can remember and offers some of the best ice cream on LBI (I think the specific place it's called Carmen's?). Yummy frozen yogurt and superrrrrr creamy and crunchy rocky road at reasonable prices. Worth walking around for a while and heading down to the bay to enjoy the sunset. read more

Any tourist type destination has an area like this. While Bay Village isn't as cheesy as other spots, it sells all the typical knick knacks you would expect to find at any one of these vacation "strip malls". There's a ton of stores selling different LBI gear, tattoos, etc. There really isn't much here but it is a decent enough place to walk around and check out the sites. I didn't find much of anything in the stores, but that might have been just me. I will probably not be heading back. read more

Bay Village is always a fun place to hang out and walk around at night. When my family comes down for the week, all the cousins always come to Bay Village for all the stores, treats, and just to hang and chill. It's very nice at night and the stores stay open fairly late for shopping. There are plenty of stores to cater to many different interests, as well as many places to stop for quick eats and dessert. They also have a nice ice cream shop as well as a candy store. If you leave the schooner's wharf (boardwalk area) and make your way into the other part of Bay Village across the street, you'll find the real gems: Cool Beans coffee, the infamous Chowda shop, Country Kettle Fudge, and the Crust & Crumb bakery (which is fantastic!) The general consensus here is that it is touristy, which it is. There are plenty of stores selling the usual LBI sweatshirts and coffee mugs, etc. But nevertheless, its always fun to just walk around and go out on the town. It's a one stop shop (literally) for all ages, which makes it great for families as well. Definitely a must-do when visiting LBI. read more

decent outside shopping village, lots of shops and a few restuarants in between. this is where the chowda place is. we found a few unique shops where bought a few items. good location to the amusement area of the island. its definitely a place to go if you are visiting, I am giving it a 3 stars in comparison to other nicer outside shopping villages in other locations. read more
