We called the day of to make an appointment for a couple massage. You will be in the same room and you're only required to take off your top. They do give you the exact massage time of what you're paying for. I felt very comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. I was feeling quite tired and sore after. They mostly focused on my middle to upper back but they do massage your legs and arms as well. I also received a dry scalp massage and experienced some swelling after but was told it's all normal after a deep tissue massage. They also offer to scrub your back for an extra $10 but I decided not to try it, will definitely keep it in mind for next time though. We also got free mini water bottles and some candy once the service was done. Only giving this a 4 star as one lady had to keep leaving the room to answer the phone. It was a bit disruptive to keep stopping the massage abruptly. But overall experience was really nice and I enjoyed most of it. Would definitely come back again.

I've been coming here for over 5 years and usually have a great experience, but my last 2 visits…read morehave been major disappointments. I always request a back-only massage because of knots from sitting at a desk all day, and I repeated that request when I arrived. The receptionist told me an hour was "too long" for my back, despite my explaining that this is what works for me. The therapist then did almost everything except focus on my back. I tried several times to communicate, but they did not know a word of English. At one point, they rushed out of the room, and the massage later felt as though someone else had returned. I eventually asked for it to stop, it was a total waste of time. I left more stressed than when I arrived. When I explained my concerns while paying, the receptionist again said an hour on my back was "not good for me." As a longtime customer, I should be able to decide what area I want treated, especially after clearly communicating my needs. Unreal!

I had an issue with a Massage Envy gift card given to me by a friend at this location…read more I used a portion of the gift card for a massage. At this location in November 2025. I knew how much I had on my gift card. At that time, I understood there was a remaining balance left on the card after my service. When I later visited another Massage Envy location on 6/11/2026 to schedule and receive another massage, I was informed that the remaining balance on my gift card had been marked as "gifted." I never authorized any gifting, transfer, donation, or other use of the remaining funds. I will be contacting corporate to file a complaint regarding this Elk Grove location for clarification and a full transaction history for the card, including the original balance, what was used during my massage, and what happened to the remaining balance. I am also requested confirmation of any authorization for the change in status, since I did not approve any transfer! I would appreciate a prompt resolution and restoration of any gift card funds that were removed without my authorization.

Complete bait and switch. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I was so excited to give this place…read morea shot. Specifically because of the scalp massage. I asked by text how much it costs. We wanted a 90 min full body massage and 30min scalp massage. Their text said a scalp massage for 1 hr is $90 and said the total for what we wanted would be $120. We opted to go with a 60 min full body and 30 min scalp. All was well. We got there and was told by the receptionist to wait but then a masseuse came to get us and told us to follow her. She confirmed what we wanted and told us to undress. Finally under the covers and she is about to start then says "you know it's $120 right?". I'm like wait. I was told $120 for 2 hours. We're going half hour less, why does this cost the same? And why wait to tell us this when we're half naked under the covers about to start?! I explained that's not what we were told and she proceeded to act like we can't afford the difference. The $20 difference wouldn't have mattered if we were told upfront. I would've understood. Mistakes happen. But don't wait til we're half naked to tell me the issue or act like it's our fault. Normally I would've taken that and said go ahead but the way she talked to me was so demeaning I told her we were out. We walked out and the receptionist asked if we were ok. Umm No. I explained to her and she said well I told you to wait. Ma'am. Your masseuse called us. Maybe if it was a mistake on your guys' part. Start with accountability?? The knee jerk reaction was to blame us when we're only following their employee?? We get massages often and this is the first time I've ever walked out of a massage before it started. There's a certain violation you feel when you're being treated rudely and you're half naked.
