My husband and I came to Relax Station 2 for a 1-hour couples massage and had a really good experience. The total cost was $110, which felt like a great value for the quality of the massage. This isn't a fancy spa, but it's clean, comfortable, and the staff were professional and friendly. Most importantly, the massages were excellent relaxing, thorough, and exactly what we needed. Only thing I wish they played some sort of music playing during the massage . I have been going to the Bruceville location for almost 6 years and I've never had any problems. Today they sent us over to the Laguna location for the first time. I did a couples massage and my masseuse seemed very unprofessional, chatty, and kept using her forearms to massage me. I let her know my lower back ache and needed some more attention and she said OK but did not do anything about it. Then I told her that her forearms are too strong but she wouldn't stop using them. There was a lack of oil used overall. Specifically for the hot stones, which lasted all of 20 seconds. The work felt very sloppy and different from any of the other experiences I had from the Bruceville location. I do not think I will be returning to the Laguna Location moving forward. read more

Unacceptable service I received during my appointment on May 10 at 7:45 p.m. over Mother's Day weekend. As a mother seeking a relaxing experience, I instead left feeling stressed, physically sore, and emotionally distressed. * Poor communication & unprofessional conduct: My assigned therapist, Chloe, was unable to effectively communicate with me throughout the service. When I repeatedly expressed pain and discomfort, she did not understand or respond appropriately. * Excessive pressure & injury during scalp therapy: The one-hour scalp therapy was extremely painful. The pressure used was far too hard, leaving my scalp red, tender, and sore. Despite repeatedly telling her it hurt, no adjustments were made. * Serious privacy violation: A male staff member entered the room while I was unclothed and vulnerable. I was never informed or asked for consent beforehand, which was completely unacceptable and deeply distressing. * she also put a steam cover over my head and face, and I almost couldn't breathe. I was literally sweating all over my face with the eyepatch. She gave me. I had to take it off myself or else I would have suffocated! * Improper tools used: The therapist attempted to detangle and brush my hair using a rubber scalp massager instead of proper combs or tools, causing additional discomfort. * Incomplete blow-dry service: The scalp service was included with a blow-dry; however, I did not receive a proper blow-dry. My hair was left wet and the service was not completed to a professional standard. * Cold environment: The treatment room was unreasonably cold with no adequate heating, making the experience uncomfortable throughout. * Loss of paid service time: Technical issues interrupted the appointment for approximately 10-15 minutes, reducing the time of my paid service. They offered me to go back and be with another masseuse, but why would I feel comfortable? When this is what had happened to me? The manager told me that they could not refund me but when I told them who can I speak to for a refund, they told me that they will reach out to the owner and the owner has still not communicated anything with me!! Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, communication, proper training, and respect for client safety and privacy. We had a couple massage yesterday. Requested for Swedish massage at the front desk. The masseuse didn't know Swedish and gave me Chinese deep tissue massage. The masseuse who massage my bf told her again . She still gave me deep tissue and kept rubbing my notch on the shoulder. The next day my shoulder sore. I requested for 90 minutes full body massage and she didn't massage my lower body but just the feet and calves. Despite we received these terrible massage . We still tipped them well. I'm not kidding, the same move for like 30 minutes over the same spot. It literally felt like she was just rubbing oil on me. This is an update to my previous review, courtesy of Amie. I am appreciative that she took the time to take my feedback into account and provide another opportunity for us to experience a better massage. My first experience was at Relax Station 2, but this time we were booked at Relax Station (not too far from each other). When we walked in, we were greeted by a very sweet lady, which was already a much better experience than last time. We were shown our room right away, and it was 1000x better than last time. The room was spacious vs our previous cramped room without space to move. Although we did not use the robes, it was nice that they had them there for us. The walls were still thin so you can hear conversations, but it wasn't too disruptive. Paul was my massage therapist, and he was great!! His deep tissue massage was so much more relaxing and had more pressure than my last. He seemed to really focus on the tense areas of my shoulders and back, so I really enjoyed my massage this time around. There was a moment they stepped out and we were a bit confused if we should get dressed, but they were just bringing in the hot stones and oil, which was a nice touch. I would say it was eventually enjoyable, but the initial touch to my back was hot hot hotttt. I tensed up a little but my skin eventually adjusted to it. Afterwards, we were given some water. We tipped 30% overall--I remember from the front desk lady last time demanding tips that she said they need it for both people, so we purposely brought them separately to easily distribute to each person. Overall, this was a much better experience compared to last. I would continue giving this place another chance, and I'll probably request Paul or one of the other highly reviewed massage therapists. Front desk was really welcoming when we arrived for our couples massage. I had booked an appointment before going in but it does say walk ins are welcome on their door. We were escorted to our room and was left there with no explanation....after standing there for a few seconds we just decided to undress ourselves and wait? Might've been nice to let customers know what to do once we're escorted to our room (this was our first ever massage). The massage itself was okay. Ensuring all necessary tools are available would improve client satisfaction. I noticed hygiene concerns with my esthetician; her hair should be tied back, and her accessories touched my skin. Had a great experience here we scheduled close to opening time to make sure the massage therapists wouldn't be tired lol. We had a private room for 2 and enjoyed the 40/40 back and foot massage. This was a great deal for $60 and the low price allowed me to leave a larger tip. I came because I bought a Groupon for this spot. This place actually has pretty good prices outside of the Groupon prices! My bestie and I came in for her birthday. The lady called me to make sure I was heading to the location. I found that to be a bit strange, but no biggie. We extended the massage a half an hour an got the add on of hot stones - This was about a $15 upcharge and definitely worth the money. I'm not sure what to say but here's my experience Bought a Groupon for 80 min foot & body massage with hot stones. What hot stones? Beware: I only got the 'hot stones' part for a few seconds or less than a min at the end of my massage. Not sure if other reviewers got a longer experience with the hot stones but make sure you ask if you really want the hot stones. I called the day after I purchased the Groupon to schedule an appointment and got one set asap. I even received a text to confirm my appointment which I was shocked. I arrived for my appointment first thing at 10am on the day of my appt. They open at 10am so When I arrived there was 2 women there and another female & male employee arrived shortly after. A lady put the tub of water by my chair & I assumed it would be one of the ladies that greeted me that would be massaging me. But it was the male who gave me the massage. I wanted to ask for a female masseuse but then decided it should be ok because I didn't want to be difficult. My foot massage was ok. My lower back was really uncomfortable laying the way I was so it wasn't the best experience for me. I could hear employees talking but I guess that's normal. There's music playing. It's ok. When it was time for my body, the masseur said it was time to change rooms. We move from the community to a private room which I had no idea. There's a sign in the room that states to undress to your comfort level. I'm not comfortable with completely undressing. The body massage was ok but I had mentioned my neck and shoulders were the worse. Pressure was ok. There were a few moments I felt a little uncomfortable but I'm not sure if I would come back. Maybe I would just ask for a masseuse next time if I decide to come back to see if I'd be more comfortable. I didn't care much about the oils used. 2.5 stars I did not have a pleasant experience, but that was mostly due to my assigned masseuse I have probably gotten around 20 massages before, elsewhere. It my first time here today (booked through ClassPass) and it was definitely the worst of my 20. I would not be surprised if I learned that it was my masseuse's first day. I had to hold myself back from laughing multiple times during the massage, thinking that I could be doing way better with no training. Even when I gave feedback that it was too rough or areas I wanted to be focused on, nothing seemed to help. They had zero clue what they were doing with the hot stones, tracing them lightly along my back like they were creating a watercolor painting. I do feel they were trying their best and putting in effort, just did not have the knowledge or experience required. I don't wish anyone be punished, but I hope this business can better train their staff, instead of trying to make a quick buck. I stated I was followed to the bathroom and was escorted from the massage room to the counter to pay. I was made to feel very uncomfortable. The massage did hurt at times, but I did not think it would come to bruises. Also the receptionist was trying to scold me about leaving a tip. This was NOT relaxing. I left more tense and stressed and anxious than when I went in. Honestly, if I could give 0 stars, I would. I scheduled an appt. I was running late so I called to ask them if that was ok and gave them an estimate on what time I'd get there based on the GPS. And they said it was fine. Then I got there at that time and then I waited 20 minutes which was fine I was late, I wish she had told me that it would be a wait, since I called immediately when they opened to let them know I was late so they could decide to reject me or not. Only when the other customer got in did she come up to me and tell me it would be another 20 minutes: Which was fine because it was my fault that I was late. And I was using a groupon. So 40 minutes of waiting. I showed the Groupon and we doubled checked everything. Because I wanted to make sure I got the correct place. When my massage finally came, I felt like I wasn't going to get the hot stone massage I had bought. So I asked and she said little hot stone, more hot stone is an extra $10. I said ok. For reference, attached is a picture of the Groupon that says 45 minute massage with hot stone. Whatever. So then I got the massage, even more tense than I arrived because of these mishaps. And the "45 minute hot stone massage" was 30 seconds of hot stone at the end. And then I got done with my massage and I go to tip . She was pretty much dismissing me and didn't think to scan my Groupon. But I still show the Groupon. And the lady sees my Groupon, again, and then wants to charge me $10 more because the masseuse gave me 15 more minutes than the Groupon stated. But I didn't ask for 15 more minutes. I wanted what the Groupon said. By this time I was just really frustrated because all I wanted was a relaxing experience. Instead I left feeling frustrated and annoyed. If you decide to come here, skip the Groupon. The Groupon is $50 for a 45 minute "'massage with hot stones". The hot stone portion was, as mentioned, a joke. Get the regular 1 hour massage for $55 and add the $10 for hot stones. That's $65 for an hour with (hopefully) actual hot stones vs $50 for 45 minutes with pretend hot stones. The pretend hot stones massage actually costs more with Groupon, if you do the math. Which I did when I got really irritated ($1.11 per minute for the pretend hot stones vs $1.08 per minute for hopefully real hot stones). Good luck. read more

My husband and I came here a while ago and the experience was great. I called on a Saturday for a Sunday appointment to which they had availability in the morning for a 60 minute couples massage. We came into the establishment and were greeted with calm, soothing tone of voice and the environment was mellow. We were taken to a couples room, asked to get as comfortable as possible on the table with as awkward as we are lol. The therapists came in and began the massages, the vibe was calm throughout our appointment and the massage was well needed! My husband had a lot of tension in his back and neck to which the therapist was putting in work in trying to get those knots to loosen up. The therapist I had saw that I needed work all over and it was relaxing to feel the difference. Overall, the appointment was relaxing and well deserved! This was an amazing way to end a busy Sunday. Called in for a 60 min couples massage for only $100 and asked for the latest appointment time which was 9:00PM. I usually am hesitant about going to new massage places and rely on all the reviews to make sure I'm picking the right spot but I'm glad husband and I tried it. They told us right away that the couples massage room is very small so they gave us the option to go to separate private rooms, which was fine with us. He loved his massage with Yan and I really liked mine with Nancy. She worked my back and pressure was good with lots of oil. Definitely a combo of Deep Tissue & Swedish and the hot stones were a great touch too. I do wish she could've spent some time on each foot individually...but maybe next time for a 90 min session? Let me start off by saying my only frame of reference when coming to Relax Station 2 was my experiences at the other Relax Station off Bruceville (near Wackford). So... when the combo massage started without soaking my feet I was thrown off. I had also requested a specific therapist when booking however somehow that was not captured and accepted whoever was available as I was told they were all good. I was led to a room and told to disrobe and lay face down. I never saw my therapist until she had me turn over half way through. She informed me when I asked a question that she did not speak much English so we communicated with "softer, ok". While I was face down she was usually on the bed beside me on her knees during the massage and switched sides as the massage went on. It was not distracting or disturbing. More than 40 minutes had passed before she started working on my feet so I definitely didn't get 40/40 however the time I did receive was good. For this location, I'm guessing they must not massage/touch your feet unless you add the combo since they were not touched at all as part of the massage (and done at the end like during a normal full body massage). In the future, if I return, I may track the time myself to make sure my feet do actually get the allotted time. Pros: - affordable for the amount of time - friendly staff - lots of availability options Cons: - limited communication ability - at times it went from feeling relaxing to really rushed and somewhat painful - I have bruises on my back and on my left calf - there are 3-6 circles at the top of the private room door that you can see into from the hallway and vice versa (why?) - at times the door was left open or cracked If you're in a budget crunch - this will get it done. However this experience did not meet what I was hoping to find and will continue my search for a long term massage establishment. read more
