Small size. Cherry, tiger blood, and blue raspberry. Perfect for the Arizona heat.

In 100+ degree weather, Tropical Sno is the place to go to cool down with some Hawaiian shaved ice. So many flavor options/combos to choose from. For the price/sizes they offer you can't be mad. I'm more of a classic flavor kind of girl so cherry, tiger blood, and blue raspberry are the way to go. Love how soft the ice is and the flavors are really tasty. I wish they would have a covered patio with more seating to enjoy your shaved ice outside of the sun but other than that, I always make sure to make a stop here on vacation.

It's a perfect summer treat. It was really good and they have a lot of different flavors to choose from. Def reminds me of Hawaii quality, and you can get them Hawaiian style with ice cream underneath. Priced well, would def come back!

Very refreshing midday treat. I got a small, but medium would be better choice. Tangerine and mango and coconut cream tasted fine and Hawaiian style is ok, but not needed next time. Reasonable prices. Ate in parking lot.

Our favorite thing on a hot day!! Best tradition and sooo close to home - we're lucky!!!

We had been on the hunt for a good old shaved ice place and realized this wasn't too far away. How have we missed this? Set up in the corner of a strip mall parking lot, this tiny building has a walk up window and a bench on the side for you to enjoy your creation if you don't want to get it to go. Nice girl was working when we arrived. Three sizes (I couldn't even finish a small... just saying) and sooooo many flavors. They have a list of special flavors which are predetermined combos or you can create your own. I went with the shark attack (blue Hawaiian, cherry and shark gummies) but I had to get gummy bears since they were out of gummy sharks. Still a cute idea though, especially for kids. My girlfriend got a medium half mango half green apple. She was so excited to come here because she was looking for a place for awhile. She said it was absolutely perfect and she wants to come back immediately! The spoons change color when they get cold, and the plastic tray helps avoid messiness and melting drips getting all over your hands. I was really impressed! I'd recommend this place for sure.

Great place and great service!! The snow cones tasted great!!!! The ice was perfect and the flavors were SOOOOOO GOOD!! Only thing I would have changed is asking for a little less syrup next time. I couldn't eat the bottom part because it was TOO sweet! Lol but I'd definitely go back whenever I come back to Scottsdale!

Just me and a bee enjoying some shaved ice .

What a pleasant surprise! We stumbled upon this AWESOME place. It's now my new favorite. There was a line so I figured it was pretty popular. What makes it popular though is the great taste and quality of the shaved ice. The customer service was great and the place is very clean. Restaurant rating is an "A" so when I saw that I stopped the car. Thanks for fun experience. Will definitely be back...and spread the word about this hidden gem. Oh and I even met a little friend (bee) that hung out with me and enjoyed my mango strawberry shaved ice.

I love this place! Shaved ice is my favorite and I will only go to Tropical Sno! They have TONS of flavors and flavor combination options. They also have sauces and candy to put on top and ice cream for the bottom. I highly recommend asking them to pack the ice down to make it a little harder- otherwise it's very soft ice like ice cream. I also recommend getting pop rocks on top! I only get the sugarfree flavors and they usually have 3 sugar free flavors on hand. I wish they had more sugarfree options to choose from (it's usually pineapple, cherry and tigers blood) I'd love to see lemon, raspberry and coconut! I get A LOT of snocones from here so I go through the punch cards. The workers are always friendly and I rarely have to wait in a line. Tropical Sno is the best! Update: they were almost out of sugarfree pineapple flavor and said they were going to make another sugar free flavor to replace it and let me pick from the flavor options!!! I chose sugar free passion fruit. Yum!!

If you want to find the worlds best shaved ice I recommend coming here. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from, also including other flavor combinations that they recommend! The service is amazing and 10/10 on the taste too! Very affordable too!

No complaints this way! My boyfriend and I were visiting from Dallas and had to stop! Lauren was super badass and suggested some amazing flavors. A must try!

Ran out of ice and used wrong kind of ice from Circle K. More like a slushy. First and last time for me. Very disappointing.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

I can't speak on the customer service as we never left our table and our waited just walked over and got what we needed. We were pretty stuffed from our massive meal, but we decided on sharing a cup of gelato just to satisfy our sweet tooth. I peeked inside as our table was right at a little walkway from the restaurant to the bakery. Gelato is just one of many things they serve here. They also have all your typical Italian desserts. Cakes like tiramisu, pastries like Italian flag cookies, cookies like Italian wedding cookies, cannolis of different varieties, and of course gelato. What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. It wasn't overly sweet and it had a little crunch with bits of chocolate and hazelnuts. My sweet tooth was extremely satisfied after having dessert here. I have literally been thinking about that gelato since I left Phoenix. Luckily this company has locations in Texas so I will definitely be seeking out this gelato soon.

While I was still in NYC with my family on XMas eve eve, it hit me... I need to bring something besides wine everytime I go to their home. Nor a Southern dish. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.

It's smooth, rich without being too heavy, and the flavor actually develops as you eat it instead of just being one-note sweet. You can tell they take this part seriously. Leave it outside the fridge for an hour and watch that cheesecake melt on your tongue crystals (if you have the patience for that) Their rotating monthly flavors keeps things interesting, and you're not just stuck with the same lineup every time. Out of what I tried, the banana pudding one was easily a standout--super nostalgic, creamy, and just done right without being overly sweet. The coconut one was also up there, more subtle but still really clean and flavorful. Love me some coconut! They also have a punch card system--buy 9 slices, get the 10th free--which is a nice touch. It lowkey turns into a mission because once you've tried one flavor, you kinda want to work your way through all of them anyway. Now...the downside. The customer service just isn't great. It's not aggressive or anything, just noticeably lacking. There's not much warmth or engagement--it feels pretty transactional. For a place that clearly puts effort into their product, you'd expect at least a baseline level of hospitality, and it's just not really there. So overall, if you're going to Banhams, go for the cheesecake. The rotating flavors keep it fresh, the quality is legit, and it's definitely worth trying. Just don't expect much from the service side, and you'll enjoy it a lot more.
