First time here as it's a new smoothie location. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. Not a whole lot in conversation from the staff. They all seemed overwhelmed/busy. I could tell the guy fixing our smoothie's was looking for some guidance from one of the other employees, couldn't get her attention. Don't bring a 50 for a 15+ order. Smoothie itself tasted more like blended ice with a hint of strawberry. I won't give up on them. I'll try one of their Açaí bowls. read more

The açaí bowl with Nutella was fantastic but the Caesar wrap was not super great in my opinion. It was lacking substance. The service wasn't great either. I ordered online in advance and it still took 15 minutes beyond my order time to get my food. I asked for an update on my food and they said "sorry we dropped it and we need to make it again" and waited longer. I would go back but only for the açaí bowl read more

I really enjoy this place I have eaten here three to four times in the last couple months. This place has found its own niche in an area of town that has burgers, burritos, etc. i don't know about you but I get tired of eating the same thing over for lunch. Here I can find items under 800 calories. You can order things like simple flatbread sandwiches or açaí bowls, oatmeal fruit bowls, and yogurt bowls. I enjoy ordering the yogurt fruit bowl. The fruit is fresh the Greek yogurt cold and the fruit selection is a right mixture. The size is perfect and the price for what I order is ok for me. Even if it wasn't I will always be willing to pay more for tasty healthy items. So I say skip the burger or Taco for one day and stop here and get you a yogurt fruit bowl. read more

I went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe several times during a week when they had one of their smoothie specials. The deal was you got a free smoothie when you bought any food item. The app is nicely designed and easy to use. When I picked up my order, the service was hit or miss. During most of my visits, the employees never acknowledged me, and I stood at the counter hoping someone would let me pick up my order. When I got an employee's attention, they did nicely package my smoothies and food. The smoothies were satisfying and refreshing. On the other hand, I dreaded eating the food that came with the smoothie deal. Every food item I tried was bland and generic at best. You have been warned: get the smoothies, NOT the food. Overall, I'll return to Tropical Smoothie Cafe if I get any special offers, but I prefer other smoothie joints in Tucson. read more

The smoothies are delicious. I do wish they'd offer a mini size for those that don't want a full 24oz smoothie. The inside has always been clean and there's usually seating available. I'm giving 4 stars only because the food and speed has been hit or miss anytime we've went. Ordering a head does help with that but again it's a hit or miss. read more

I went here on Monday after hitting the gym with a friend. It was around 8pm & we had the place to ourselves! It was bright and clean, and the staff was nice and patient while we asked questions and figured out our order. There were tables and countertop seating that faces the menu and kitchen. We ended up getting a Baja burrito to share and it was yummy. It tasted exactly like you would expect it to taste. It had beans, avocado, chicken, cheese, and supposedly a salsa though I saw none in the burrito. However the staff easily gave us a cup of it and all was good. It came with fruit or chips. We also both got Acai bowls. That's what brought us here as Acai bowls are my current obsession. I wish there were more options but they had 3 bowls to pick from, one with a Acai base, one with an avocado base, and one with a Greek yogurt base. I chose the Acai. It was incredibly small compared to other places I've been, at least 50% smaller, at the very least for $10.49. I also noticed the granola seems like a nature valley bar broken up in it... which was different.. and very crunchy. The mangos I subbed for bananas were a bit hard too. Everything else in it was cool. My friend didn't like the Acai, she said it had an aftertaste but I didn't taste it. It definitely ranks lower in my list of Acai spots in Tucson. Anyway still a spot to look into when looking for a healthier choice. They seem to be sprouting up a lot. And they have not just the bowls and burritos, they also have flatbreads, salads, and smoothies (which would prob be a better choice). I would go back and try another burrito, salad, or flatbread. read more

This place is closed and I am not surprised. We went there one night about 20 min before closing and saw a male employee inside, lights on and when he saw us get out of our vehicle and walk towards the door, he ran to the door, locked it, and turned the lights off. Yummy!! Smoothies are healthy and delicious. They have fresh wraps and flatbreads too. My new fav for healthy meals. The building is new so everything is nice and clean. The staff is friendly. Give yourself some time they aren't very fast. read more

Came in here because they said they were giving away free smoothies for National flip flop day. So, I thought cool, lets go try one. Well, we get there and the guy behind the counter says "oh they aren't wearin flip flops boss, how do u want to handle this"? First of all, if you are tryin to drum up business that's not the attitude one should have. Secondly, not everybody wears flip flops! So, I turned around & walked out. It's bull sh*t! It left a bad opinion in my mind & I will probably not come back because of this. If u say u are giving away free smoothies then just give a free smoothie, don't make people jump through hoops to get one. Just my opinion! read more

My wife really enjoys ordering and dinning from this place! From the Avacado smoothies to the acai bowls, so far everything we have gotten has been delicious Ordering through the APP makes is very easy to have your order prepared as you drive to the location. The staff are always friendly and professional. This establishment is very clean and organized. The open design allows customers to watch as their orders are being made. It would be easy if you could pick up your online orders in the drive thru (keeping with the convenience theme), especially when/if your the only customer there . Thought I'd try out the new tropical smoothie location on Broadway. I ordered the Thai chicken wrap. Unfortunately I think they forgot the peanut sauce or there is barely any on there. The smoothie was great but they were out of oj so I was told I could do extra strawberry if I wanted so I did then I was charged extra for the extra strawberries without being told it would be an extra charge. Service was fast so that was a plus. read more

These were THE most amazing smoothies!!!! There were so many options to choose from that i had such a hard time deciding!! The fact that you are able to substitute anything into the smoothies makes it highly satisfying. The service was great and the employees were very helpful and sweet!!! I was excited to try this place out and leave a nice review. But unfortunately my first experience with this place will be my last. Hopefully owners find out soon that the staff they have is ruining their business after it just opened up. Stopped by after my Sons Dr appointment was hopeful it would be a nice place to grab something quick. After waiting in the drive thru windows with no cars in front of me for 30mins with only one car behind me. I kept seeing this guy walking back and forth with a blender but not looking to the window. I tried getting his attention but couldn't. I honked to get their attention since no one came to check back with me. I finally gave up and pulled around the corner and asked for a refund instead and voiced that I was waiting for too long and at that point both my 4 year old and 1 year old were screaming in the back crying. At that point the man who works there short blonde hair acted very inconsiderate and like nothing happened no apology nothing. And said that it was almost ready. The only the person there who was considerate and apologized was the lady who works there. Hopefully this place will be able to find better staff and better service that will bring its customers back. Other than that the food was good. read more
