I never have an issue with the service or quality at the location off of Home Rd. Always friendly and accurate service. The taste of the smoothies never disappoint. FINALLY came in to check this place out (for breakfast) last week, and...... I'm sorta sad... GREAT food, YUM smoothies, but with NO ONE else waiting except for me (**and the drive thru cust., who seemed to be friends w/the cashier, we'll get back to THAT issue later**) With one cashier, at least four people in the kitchen, and one bored looking employee in the back "lounge" watching TV, why did I have to wait nearly 15 min. to get a smoothie and a egg and cheese wrap?!? One of my HUGE pet peeves is when walk-in customers are overlooked in favor of drive-thru folks. I know it happens when a place is SUPER busy, as they don't want the drive thru line to go crazy, but there was one (!!) car and one walk in (me!!) with plenty of people/time there to handle both orders at once, but NADA for me until the drive thru guy (who APPEARED to be friends with the cashier...) was greeted, yacked to a bit, and taken care of... Service like this in the dead, early morning hours makes me ohhhhh so afraid to come back for lunch/dinner, which I was really hoping to do some time soon. I love this place for many reasons, but most of all because I can place my order online, and 10 minutes later, stroll through a PACKED crowd waiting to order - and stroll on out! That is marketing brilliance! The staff is super friendly and on pointe. They used to have some issues with employees chatting and ignoring customers, but that appears to have been worked out. Now when you walk in, you will honestly feel like the most important thing you did all day was walk through that door. Coupons here are plentiful (and totally worthwhile) but if you use the app to order, it is impossible to use the coupon...here is to hoping they work that glitch out soon! The app keeps track of all purchases and will automatically give $back to next purchases, although it takes $55 spent to earn $5 which is a lot unless you are me - lunch lazy and app happy. read more

Tropical Smoothie is a great addition to the Springfield area. If you want a good smoothie, this is the place to go. My favorite is the Kiwi Quencher. All of the smoothies can be made with Splenda if you are watching your sugar intake, which is really great! They also offer sandwiches, salads, soups and breakfast items! I think the sandwiches are a little overpriced for the size, but all of them I've eaten have been tasty. The size of the smoothies are great for the price! A 24 oz smoothie costs about $4. Tropical Smoothie is a great, healthy alternative to the fast food restaurants surrounding the area. read more

Excellent smoothies. I normally find smoothies that are way too sweet, they don't seem healthy. This place has smoothies that taste really good without too muumuu sugar. I'm no health nut or anything, but I do love a good slushy so I figured why not. I go in one morning on the way to taking my kid to school. The menu was good sized, the smoothies were a fair price for being made right in front of you. The service is a little slow, but this is not a "fast food" place by any means. The healthy smoothies are amazing tasting, and the breakfast sandwiches are good as well. They have a whole healthy section on their menu, and now I've been there about 8 times and have never been disappointed. At times it takes a few minutes to get your order, but I have been pulled over to the side at McDonalds, Wendeys, other places so I really have no complaint for something freshly made to order. They did great job when I had them cater an event for work. I received a coupon for work for buy one get one free so I stopped in. Other customers are not kidding, take the drive thru! Tropical smoothie cafe however can get me a delicious 24 oz smoothie, a good wrap or sandwich and a banana, cookie or bag of chips for the same price. I was born and raised in springfield and only having subway as a slightly healthy option was awful. I hope this place does better than all of the past businesses that have tried in the same location. I've been in Springfield for three weeks and have had tropical smoothie cafe four times, and thats only because i didn't know it existed until about 10 days ago. I LOVE Tropical Smoothie!! My favorite is Island Green...drinking my greens and it tastes great! One thing I recommend when you order one is telling them only 1/2 ice. why? because it gives a much stronger flavor and you get the whole blender full instead of part being washed done the drain!
