I used to like this lil Dairy Queen but I didn't eat in side - EVER - and the only thing I have ever ordered was a large grape mister misty. It is extremely hot in they're restaurant - must keep AC on low if it is even on at all! Despite the sun shining in the front doors - neatest thing here is the outdoor plants. The older guy who runs it and works daily has a bad temper & can be extremely rude. The very first time I went there - I found a hair in my mister misty / I called & they made good to their promise to replace the drink. - Since that initial time I've been back 6-7 times & ordered the exact same thing. I've taken my children there & they ordered different types of ice cream(s) etc. Well a few weeks ago I ordered my favorite - grape Mr. Misty & the older man working that has been there every time I have ever went - whom usually makes it will only put so many squirts of grape in it before he pours in the ice mixture. This time I had asked for an extra squirt ... since you could see white ice within the large cup and so he had a lil attitude said he had to charge me an extra .50 cents and then he automatically uses a blender to stir up my mister misty without asking me!!! I thought well hmm.. I would try it. Actually it didn't taste better - it made it look grayish purple and makes it melt faster. Now I've been drinking these exact drinks since 1983 & its 2017!! I know how I receive them when I order them from any other Dairy Queen within Greene, Montgomery & Clark county, Ohio. No other DQ has to charge me extra - they just make it correct the first time. Well today I just went there & as usual I get my fav - he try's to hand me the exact same product a drink that needs 2 more squirts of grape icee mix - so I ask for an additional squirt and he immediately goes towards the blender - and I hollar - 'no no no....' I don't like it that way please don't blend it. When you do that you ruin it. Of course, he states 'it makes it taste better!' In which I say, uhmm no it makes it melt faster but it does not taste better. He got angry and sat my drink down so hard it jumped out around the rim of the cup! I was offended & shocked! So he grabbed to napkins slide them under it quickly and acted like it was no biggie - continued on with his next customer! What a JERK! No more north Dixie DQ 4 us! Wow, a nice selection of food. Food is surprisingly very good. The best cheese curds around. The ice cream is smooth with great flavors. They serve Bergers, hotdogs, chicken, bbq pork, fish, shrimp and lots of sides. Kid meals available. Good prices. A+ to the owner and crew. read more

When you walk in, there is never a line as the employees work their hardest to get the food and ice cream out as fast as possible. When you reach the counter you notice a positive attitude that all staff have. They all love their job as it has been a family business for over 30 years. When you receive your ice cream it does not lack topping like other local Dairy Queen restaurants. The atmosphere is very calming as the booths are tucked away away from the big windows. There is a bit of outside seating available and a lot of indoor seating. We will definitely be back to get more of their great ice cream! read more
