In the winter I'm all about the Peppermint, and in the summer it's Harvest Peach. But I'm going to have to try the new release to honor our baby Hippo Fiona. Even if it make me look like a hippo. I usually have a positive experience at any Graeter's, but the people here seemed particularly friendly and helpful. They seemed happy to be working there and glad to make your special bowl of ice cream. I would recommend trying whatever seasonal flavors are out when you go. They just retired Pumpkin and now have Cinnamon or Peppermint for the holiday season. If I don't get one of those, Black Raspberry Chip is definitely my go-to. Decent ice cream but poor customer service. Cleanliness/sanitation questionable at best. We had a small group of family members from all over the country into Kettering. One afternoon, we went to Greaters in Oakwood. Four of us rode electric scooters, the rest drove. Upon arrival, there was only one table with 2 customers; a nice couple who had brought a very large wagon inside. We parked the scooters along the back wall; They took up very little space. In the meantime, the other customers had left so we were the only ones there. The "manager" came over and told us we couldn't park the scooters inside; therefore we couldn't sit together. He ruined what could have been a good time. I say "manager" because he said he wasn't a manager but was "in charge". I didn't want to be a Karen, but would like to point out that he had a large mop of hair with no hairnet. Both scooped ice cream and handled cones as well as money with no gloves or hand washing in between. We also took home several to-go orders, so on a day when Greaters had very little business, we purchased over $100 worth of ice cream. Our experience was the opposite of Great. I believe some finesse/couth training chould be provided to those "in charge". Overall, the experience felt very much like this establishment did not want our business. read more

Ice Cream that is creamy, chocolate, with chunks of chocolate that are chewy, and good in every bite. Never had a flavor here that I didn't like. They'll ship it you if you need them to, or you can take some to go, in coolers with dry ice to keep it cold all the way to your destination. It is expensive, but for ice cream made fresh in the store every day, you can't really beat it. Lower the prices and I'll be visiting much more regularly read more
