I love bibibop and their food, but the service at this specific location is not good. I went in at 11:30am right after they opened. What I believe is the manager was on her phone not paying attention to customers who were waiting to get their order taken. They were also out of 2 ingredients, when they had been open for 30 minutes. I feel bad for the young man at the register, he does a good job but that manager constantly yells at him for the littlest things in front of customers. The last thing is when I got home to eat my meal there were pieces of uncooked rice in my bowl. So in conclusion I don't recommend this location. read more

This was a QDoba counter style restaurant with Korean style ingredients and flavors. The sweet potato noodles were surprisingly good. It's cut up pieces of sweet potato in a normal glass noodle - not a noodle made out of sweet potatoes. The pink sauce is a mayo based sausage with very little flavor. The meats were flavorful on their own. Service was fast. I would recommend for a quick and easy meal. Price point around $15. read more

I'll never stop being a fan of the "Chipotle concept" (although I think Subway had it first!!) and this is a great place to put "your" creativity to work to get a good, fresh, reasonably healthy meal, and enjoy some flavors you can't find all over town.... Once you've been here once or twice, you'll know what you want, and how to get it set up. Great protein choices, including regular and spicy chicken (I went for spicy) steak and tofu. The base can be rice, noodles, or a wrap (went with noodles, want rice or a wrap next time...) and then add from a good selection of veggies and sauce(s). I was here late on a Sunday afternoon, and as a newbie, had plenty of time (and patience from the helpful staff) to put together what I wanted. Bonuses include a station where you can try out/mix and match all their different sauces and free miso soup w/any meal. I hope to be back and try some more of their tempting looking options!! I was staying at the Marriott right down the street, saw this place on yelp and decided to try it out for dinner. I'm a huge fan of korean food and I've never tried a place like this. Essentially, Chipotle for korean bowls. I got a spicy chicken bowl with both purple rice and cold noodles and pretty much all of the veggies. Also got the yum yum sauce based upon yelp reviews I read before coming here. Its really yummy! The purple rice is cooked well, noodles are served cold, the chicken was tasty and fresh veggies on top. The sauce bar lets you try all of them to your liking and I ended up adding more yum yum as well as a little korean red sauce for more heat. They also have free miso soup. At around $8 for the bowl, good food for good price. If I see another one in my travels I would definitely go again. read more

A big HUGE thank you to Jake and his crew! I am newly diagnosed as being allergic to gluten and am still learning what I can and can't have. I ordered my lunch using the DoorDash app, then like a dummy did a software update on my phone. Apparently someone from the restaurant had tried to call me to let me know what I ordered had an ingredient that contained gluten (the chicken). Since I wasn't available, I had a handwritten note from Jake (the manager) in my bag explaining the chicken has gluten, so he put it on the side as well as a cup of their steak, which is gluten free! When I called the store to thank them, the girl I spoke with (super sweet, but her name escapes me) told me that since I had added a note about my allergy in the comments section, they used extra precautions while preparing my food, including getting all of the ingredients from the back and not using the ingredients that could have possibly been exposed to gluten as to avoid cross contamination Finding gluten free restaurants in Dayton is HARD, but now BIBIBOP has moved up to my #1 for lunch while I'm at work Thank you!! Very much like an Asian Chipotle. The staff was helpful in explaining what the different toppings and sauces were, as I had never been to a BIBIBOP before. While debating which sauce topping to get in my bowl, the cashier informed me that there was actually a sauce bar around the corner, so I could try as many sauces as I wanted. Next to the sauce bar is a container of free(!) miso soup, which tasted great and had plenty of tofu in it. The restaurant is chic and doesn't give a fast-food vibe at all. They even have neat little nooks for their booths so you can have a more private conversation if you want. The food tasted very fresh and the portion was large for the price. The toppings aren't mixed initially, so it was kind of fun to put a different sauce on each half of the bowl. It tasted like two completely different meals with different ingredients. The ambience at lunch time on Friday were a mixed if student and working class grabbing a quick bite to eat before returning to their busy day of school and work. My colleague and I drove 20 minutes just to experience this place during our lunch time. I created a custom tofu bowl filled with rice noodles, tofu, bean sprouts, extra kale, carrots, daikon aka radish, corn, eggs, and lettuce. This topped off with their signature Korean BBQ sauce. What a delightful and fresh dish. Full of flavors and spice. I always like a dish with very little oils and grease. I really enjoy these custom eateries popping up throughout Dayton. It give eating options for those discerning foodies out there. I highly recommend this restaurant for those looking for a quick and alternative healthy lunch. The price of this custom savory bowl was $6.75 which an amazing price for a healthy veggie bowl. I love this place and will my weekly lunch excursion. read more

I went during the lunch rush and they kept skipping me in line and having customers who were behind me go in front (ps it wasn't bc I was waiting for them to refill anything). My boyfriend and I ate here tonight. I was pretty excited about it. There's a location in West Chester I've been meaning to go to but haven't yet, so I was familiar with the idea. Sort of an Asian version of the Hot Head experience. When I found out one was coming to Dayton, I followed its opening closely. First thoughts on entering the place were, "Wow, this place is bright." They have lots of lighting with white walls and with crisp photos on the walls. That's the word for it. It was very crisp. Someone yelled, Welcome to Bibibop!" At us as we walked in. There were lots of people. Frankly, it was a little disorienting. I like to pride myself on being a good customer. I try to be polite and reasonably well prepared. My efforts to prepare for this food event failed. I was stumbling, confused and asking what was the most commonly requested sauce kind of customer. Awful. I was awful. I ended up with a wrap. Purple rice, black beans, potatoes, corn, sprouts, carrots and tofu. I didn't know what I was doing. The sauces stumped me to the point that the sauce guy pointed out there's a sauce bar where I could try them all. Which is a brilliant way to do business. The employees there were fantastically friendly and smiled nonstop. Maybe they get free food. My boyfriend got a bowl. After I got my wrap, I realized everyone else there had a bowl. Everyone. Weird. I tried all the sauces. The teriyaki is regular old teriyaki. Sriracha is pretty basic. Korean red sauce was sort of hot. My boyfriend said he thought it was a little citrusy. Neither of us liked the yum yum sauce that is supposed to be the favorite. It's sort of sweet and creamy. Not vegan. It's made with egg but no dairy. From what I can tell, this place is a vegetarian and vegan haven. After trying all the sauces, I realized I liked my burrito better with no sauces. I could taste the glaze on the carrots. It was wonderful. Everything tasted so clean. My burrito wasn't built as well as it could have been. There were clumps of food items in places. But people have to learn the burrito business. I picked out the potatoes. Bad call. My boyfriend says he would give the food three stars. And I can understand that. All their pictures saying stuff about clean living and stuff annoy him, too. But that's no reason not to enjoy delicious food. I think the next time I go in I'll be a better customer and order a better order. I know it's four stars if I do it right.
