A pretty fast turnaround at a tropical smoothie for sure! I recently came here so I could get a smoothie and I decided to get the beach bum. I decided to get Splenda in it which was amazing because they cut down 220 calories! Even with the substitution for the sugar, the flavor of the Smoothie was just the right amount of sweetness! I loved how the chocolate blended with the bananas, strawberries, and other fruit in it! The service was very quick and my drink was ordered and made and given to me all within a handful of minutes. There was only one other person waiting for their drink and they got it just as quick. The Smoothie had the perfect consistency without it being too thick that I couldn't drink it and it was not too watery to where it felt like I was just drinking any normal juice. The prices are reasonable however some of the drinks go upwards of $12 or more and it makes me wonder if it is even worth a smoothie at that price. The staff here is always friendly and from the few moments I interact with them, they are always friendly and helpful with accommodations and recommendations when I am unsure about what I want. My go to drink is usually something with strawberry and I love the tropical flavors they have here. The consistency of the smoothie is wonderful and everytime I take a sip, I get all the flavors blended well together. The strawberry-blueberry smoothie is one of my favorites and never disappoints me! Prices are reasonable and you can get add-ons such as vitamin powders, for an additional charge. Unfortunately, this evening, I decided to come in and take advantage of a healthy drink and sandwich. During the process of my visit, I experienced a young lady with pink hair that was rude. My food was also very poorly put together as they were cleaning products in front of the prep area. Next, the presence of the cleaning area was poor plus for over 5 minutes left with my food, sitting out without a cover. Once I advised the person fixing the sandwiches to please remake the sandwiches because this is not sanitary. He did not apologize for leaving the sandwiches out unattended for so long without any coverings and all he did was fix the sandwiches and give them back this particular time I will honestly say what's the worst my smoothie was horrible and has no flavor. No nutrients taste to it and the sandwich is also the same as well. To come into an establishment and spend over 20+ dollars just to have a healthy lunch is ridiculous and to have poor customer service serve to you instead of quality, healthy food. I'm so glad that this location came back!! I love the new remodel!! The staff is super friendly!! Went above and beyond. You have to try the jetty punch with kiwi. You are just adding the kiwi to it but wow does it taste refreshing and amazing. They need to work on their points rewards though. It said that it grabbed on my points but looking back at it, it never did get connected. I also threw away the receipt so I didn't use the numbers on that to scan it to the app. Something has to be done with that. read more

With all the choices we have now days , Shame on me for giving this place a second chance. Employees need to be trained properly , but for that I blame management or ownership, the person that took my order did not know the menu after I ordered two different items. She said they don't have that and I had to remind her on the board behind them what it was. The other employee which seems to be above her, just sat in a corner with his head down. I have ordered via Uber Eats and ordered take out from Tropical Smoothie Cafe. People can also eat in as well. I love the variety of smoothies, all nice and healthy, and all smoothies come in one size, large. The sandwiches and wraps are good as well. Depending on the time of day, usually lunch, it can get very busy and there is a long wait. One time, the uber eats driver forgot my smoothie or the cafe forgot to give it to him. Ordered three smoothies to bring home for my family, two Bahama Mama's and one Açaí based smoothie. All of them tasted great, I love how big the serving is. I was disappointed in the staff at this location, there was three employees working and only one was working the cash register and making the smoothies. First time visitor and I truly enjoyed it. The decor is nice and bright (defintely eye catching). The cashiers and workers were very friendly and informative to a newcomer like myself. I was introduced to Tropical Smoothie cafe when they were at Family Fitness Day at Ben Gamla. That day they sampled their strawberry and banana smoothies and their chipotle chicken wrap. Both items were great and the two employees there were very friendly and engaging with the families. We have been about four times since then as it's close to our house and a great treat for the kids. I LOVE that you can order via their app and accumulate points towards a reward. Everything we've had has been delicious and we've had a lot. My favorite this week was the Bahama Mama. I stayed away from it originally because last week my daughter had a smoothie with white chocolate in it and we didn't love it, but this one was GOOD! The service does seem a little bit disorganized on the weekends because there are a lot of people working and they don't seem to have positions down yet. I'm all about everyone trying different things but I don't think the cashier should have to ask different people if they made a drink or not. Their to go packaging is also very good and not the huge chunky to-go styrofoam you get most places. It's big enough for your meal and seems environmentally friendly. Best smoothies around. I come here for breakfast after the gym and get smoothies for my husband and I. They have so many selections including superfood smoothies and your option to add any protein powder. I always get the Triple Berry Oat which tastes like a breakfast parfait. My husband gets the Peanut Paradise, a good smoothie for anyone that likes peanut butter and bananas. The smoothies are fresh and you can substitute sugar out for better options to make your smoothies healthier. I recommend downloading the app so you can get rewards for purchasing items on a regular basis. Just yesterday I got a bonus credit added to my account for just having the app. You can order through the app and pay and pick up in the store, which is my preferred method of eating from this store. The food is good but nothing superb. They have quesadillas, sandwiches, and wraps. I like the wraps, especially the superfood wraps. Anything heated up almost resembles a McDonalds. It seems like they heat things up in a toaster oven. It can get busy at this location since it's right next to an LA Fitness. If it is busy, you definitely wait for your food since they only have two employees working at a time and they're not always the nicest and patient people. My husband and I purchase from this location often. The past few times we've been here have been disappointing. They don't have enough people staffed and the wait time is ridiculous. This location is located next to the gym and is always busy. You can not run this location with only 2 people. You need a minimum of 3. The staff's customer service appears poor, because the 2 people working are so focused on trying to knock their line down and get people on their way. This is to be expected if they do not have the support needed to do their jobs. It's easy to say Hello, but if you're doing the job of 3 people with 2 bodies, you tend to become annoyed after awhile. It's human nature. My smoothie's and food always taste great. My decision to continue to come here will be based on my mood. Do I feel like waiting 15-20 mins for a smoothie. Do I have things to do further down University that is by the other location. The owner needs to hire more people to keep their business. Hopefully if people complain properly this will change. After getting a recommendation, I decided to try out this Smoothie Cafe that is actually very close to me. I've always been a Smoothie King girl, so I was pretty skeptical going on. I got the Green Detox Smoothie. It was actually very delicious. The ginger in it was the perfect touch. However, unfortunately my positive experience pretty much ended there. There was one other customer in the store, and two employees. The one employee (female) was interacting with the other customer and never acknowledged my presence. The second employee (male) also avoided any sort of interaction with me. The lady in front of me literally ordered, paid, and got her food before anyone even said hi to me. Lame. Once I finally ordered my smoothie was made pretty quickly. As mentioned above, I thought it was good. I am not sure if I plan on returning. I use my Tropical Rewards when ordering coffee, scanning from your phone. Great selection of smoothies and drinks. Super flexible team with zero attitude when you give them a hard time and try to invent a vitamin smoothie. :-)) They will do it. They won't even roll their eyes. I'm a member. My only request would be to lower your rates a bit during the summer and hot season so we can consume more refreshing Vitamin drinks and much more frequently.
