to start out their smoothies are great. Hard to mess up a smoothie when that's your franchise. I will say though the chicken pesto flatbread i get every so often i've noticed almost every time it's drowning in pesto sauce making the bread soggy and almost unappetizing. Not to mention it's expensive to get a smoothie and a flatbread as a meal so i would definitely say to the cooks please portion the pesto right and don't over do the sauce! read more

I was so excited to see a Tropical Smoothie opening next to campus because I have one in my home town and love it. After venturing to this location multiple times, each visit gets worse and worse. The customer service is very lacking for their recently raised prices, products (food and smoothie) have been getting worse and worse, and wait times are far too high. My visit today was what caused me to go type out this review. After placing a $15+ mobile order (smoothie, sandwich and chips which used to only cost $11-$12), I was given a burnt and dry sandwich as well as a watered down smoothie with the consistency of juice. I've been here many times before and know their smoothies should not be like that. I also opted to try out their new 'Lime Straw" which was never received. Upon noticing that the $1 extra straw was missing after getting back home from picking up my order at the store, I called the location. I was greeted with a passive aggressive sounding girl who told me I could come back to the store to pick it up and that was about it because they were "in a rush". Going back to the store would be a complete inconvenience for me since I had just been there and was already back home. She refused to just refund me the straw over the phone because of the said "rush" but I had literally just been to the store and was the only car there. The service at this place is just horrible and the staff is super lazy. I'm also pretty sure one employees took the points off my receipt from an in-store purchase right in front of me. Nice cafe with more than just smoothies! We ordered a Sunrise Sunset, a Lean Machine, & Island Greens smoothie. All tasted way better than Smoothie King. In addition, our two youngest ordered some some food that you can read about in the photos. read more

Literally this place is awful. The mobile app wasnt updated so I paid $1 more than I should have and no way to get a refund. They also took 20 minutes for my 1 sandwich. I could have grocery shopped and cooked by then. No plain chips and not understanding about allergy questions. Plus no plant based chicken at this location. super sad. read more

They're literally always rude, I keep going back because I enjoy this place/menu options, although I'd come a lot more if I didn't have to get ready to be treated like a nuisance. Like it's actually kind of hilarious how consistently rude/irritated/annoyed they are, I've yet to be greeted by someone slightly "nice." Gotta be the worst trop out there. Second time coming and my kiwi quencher taste like str8 water. The first time i had it remade by a young black woman and they wouldn't tell me who made the watery one. I'm guessing she made my kiwi quencher again but y'all need to let her go or tell her add some damn flavor in my smoothie. my roommate and I go almost every day for a smoothie and a wrap, I went Monday April 18th and Cassandra was the server she had an attitude and was rude. My smoothie was not blended I had told her it wasn't blended she took my smoothie back and I got the same smoothie back and it was liquid. (Which isn't that a health hazard?) pretty sure she spit in it or my food. The chicken pesto sandwich which is get all the time had the smallest serving size. if you're in a rush I need a quick snack do not come here. Sorry but this place is slow. I worked at a Tropical Smoothie Cafe in my hometown before moving here for college two years ago. We had 5 minutes to get each order out or we got a look from our owner. He was a very hands on guy, but I have only seen the franchise owners once and it was when they handed me my "free smoothie for a year certificate" as I was the first 100 people in line. I've been the only one in line before and they have taken more than 15 minutes to give me just one smoothie. Now I just ordered online and came 15 minutes after and I have to wait 20 minutes in line behind two cars to pick up my smoothie that is ready because they close the interior before the drive thru. read more

Went in to get a smoothie today and, in a completely empty store with no orders on the screen, it took about 7 minutes for the three employees who were here to even notice I was at the register. I didn't think there was anyone in the building until I noticed a guy wandering around in the back on his phone. When someone did finally notice me, she seemed extremely irritated that I had come in. No smile, no greeting, and when my smoothie was finished she just set it on the counter although I was seated somewhere else (still nobody else in the store at this point). I never write reviews and I feel bad leaving a negative one because the smoothies and food are genuinely good, but the customer service here has been consistently lackluster. Not even the bare minimum, I mean I get it working in food sucks, been there done that, but it's really not hard especially when it's that slow and there's three+ employees? Every time I come back it seems to get worse, not sure if it's just new people they're hiring but? On top of that I went last week at about 8:30pm, they allegedly close at 9:00pm so I was hoping I could just grab a single smoothie and go, but alas, when I got there they had already locked up and turned the drive through speakers off. I don't really expect a whole lot, and a couple less than stellar experiences I can excuse, everyone has bad days, but almost every week something like this happens.
