In the newly opened Hershey Town Square is Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I was at the Starbucks to get a bite to eat and decided to stop off at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe afterwards for a smoothie. I had not heard of Tropical Smoothie Cafe until recently when I heard about the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Bowl, which was played between Kent State and Utah State. I got the Sunshine smoothie, which consists of mango, pineapple, banana, oranges and orange juice. It was made in about 2 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. The smoothie was sweet and had a good consistency and had a great burst of flavors, especially mango and pineapple. There was plenty of seating inside, but I chose to take my smoothie to go. Tropical Smoothie Cafe also has a bunch of cafe food options including wraps, sandwiches and bowls. The staff here was very nice. Altogether, you can't go wrong with a nice, fresh and healthy smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe! read more

So I stopped in here for a quick lunch. I actually saw the Thai chicken crunch flat in the window and decided that's what I want it for lunch. The restaurant is really nothing special, but they do have a wide variety of smoothies and some flatbread pizzas available. It's your run-of-the-mill chain style restaurant. The smoothies at Tropical Smoothie Cafe are pretty good, thankfully. I typically go for a citrus-based one and enjoy it. Whether you order hot food or cold food, it pretty much always gets served the same temperature: warm-ish. The service is alright. We had a mobile pick up order for food and smoothies and got the smoothies quickly. It took another 15 minutes to get the food because our names were never called again to get it - the employee didn't realize it had been made until we went up and asked if they had started making it yet. read more

We visited the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Hershey for the first time. We got a Dragon Fruit smoothie and a Paradise Point and let me tell ya, they were FANTASTIC!! The size of the smoothie was surprisingly big and it was reasonably priced. We will definitely be going back there again and get more smoothies, and maybe get something to eat. I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I stole their recipes to cook them by myself while I was in CA and now in NYC. Foods are healthy and delicious. I have to give 1 stars because I got food poisoning by eating at this 169 W Chocolate Ave, Hershey, PA 17033 location. I ate two Shrimp Quesadilla since it was a new menu while I was in CA and I wanted to try it. The shrimp must have been old and it wasn't cooked through since it merely warmed up through a panini machine surrounded by bread wrap. For the fourth day, my stomach is still not normal. The shrimp quesadilla in Tropical Smoothie is dangerous. Don't ever get them. Other menus are fine. My favorites are Avocolada and Jelly punch smoothies and Chipotle Chicken Wrap. I also did eat 1 chipotle chicken wrap though when I got the food poisoning too, but it was mostly like from the shrimps from the two quesadilla. I also think that this location needs more discipline. Things like this shouldn't happen. Employees here don't seem to care about food safety. I also think the other locations had fresher ingredients than this one even though I only came to this location once. Looks like I can't trust Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand now. read more

Service was horrible. Waited 5-10 minutes just to get an employee to look at us. When she finally decided to stop talking to the guys at the other counter, she didn't even ask us anything. My family and I enjoy Tropical Smoothie's Product but we have been to this location several times- each time the service is worse. The staff are not friendly- every time I have to initiate the order; the pace of the ordering process is painful and there has been very little interaction; as if the man at the counter doesn't know the menu. This week we stopped in twice. The first time we were literally the only people in the store. After ordering, it took about five minutes before the staff even started making our smoothies. The second time, the man at the counter ordered the girl in the back to come make the food. The food came out faster than the smoothie- which we discovered later was because the cheese in the "Smokey Grilled Cheese" wasn't melted; the smoothie was fine but again just very slow service. We like the smoothies but won't keep going back with such poor service. read more

This is the absolute worst tropical smoothie café I've ever been to. It's a great location but the service was horrible. The smoothies were not blended well ..all the vegetables and fruits were in chunks, the spinach was whole. The blueberry smoothie was not blended either. So my experience today at Tropical Smoothie was very interesting. Tried to use a coupon, I was chided about presenting the coupon after I ordered but hadn't paid yet. The guy I am assuming the manager then proceeded to make a sign while I was standing there that said "Please present coupon before ordering" and slapped it on the Back of the cash register. I apologized several times, said I didn't need to use the coupon if it made his life easier. He did allow me use it after making me feel like an idiot. I ordered 4 smoothies, during the time of placing my order I requested one smoothie and then changed my mind and said can I replaced this smoothie with a different one? No big deal, right? Well when I went over to the side go get my order there were 5 smoothies instead of 4. I didn't realize I had paid for 5 either. I kindly told them I had switched flavors but the kid who rang up order, failed to remove it. I was callously told by the manager well you might as well take it, you paid for it. I was furious. There was no, I'm sorry, that was our mistake, we will make right it, or give you a free smoothie on your next visit, etc. Terrible way to treat your customers..and as the manager likes to brag that he went to school for math and won the Einstein Award..well, Mr. Genius don't treat your customers this way, because they won't come back, and you lose money. read more

I've been to this location quite a few times since they opened. When they first opened service was incredible but that went downhill fast. I was in today when I came in the two girls were cleaning the blenders only one man waiting on his drink. I wait about five minutes for someone to take my order a Jetty Punch by itself then got back in line and ordered a lean machine. When the drinks came out they weren't labeled and they look exactly the same. Asked the girl which was which and she has such an attitude yet again. The truth is the cost of the smoothies is too high for anyone to have to listen to some kid smart off to them about what flavor the smoothie is. Not impressed read more

I have been to this new cafe four times and each time has been terrible. The service is slow and disorganized. There is too much talking and not enough working. I thought I would order online since there is always a line and service is so slow but when I arrived after 20 mins, the order wasn't ready. The man at the counter said he never checked the online orders. The owner came up to the counter and made the smoothies and the server just walked away. I am revising my fair review upon my second visit. There were 4 workers and 3 customers when my daughter ordered. A few people came in and the Workers just started talking to the people who were apparently their friends. 5 minutes later I had to tell them to start making our order. Very unprofessional staff with no concern for the customer. Also, they do not sell drinks to their than their smoothies so don't an in bringing in your family unless you want you 3-8 year olds all having to order $5 smoothies as a drink. If you like tropical smoothie I suggest you come in now while they are still open. They will not be here long with service like this. read more
