The menu offers a lot of different things from waffles, to crepes to crepe sushi! (Which is what I got!) Everything with chocolate or chocolate covered lol. When I heard of this pace I immediately wanted the banana biscoff sushi crepe. They also have it with strawberries but I love bananas ! It was so gooooood. It's definitely shareable so we shared it along with the Dubai cheesecake. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth.

I found Royal Chocolate while doom-scrolling Facebook, where a local foodie was raving about it,…read moreand I very strategically worked it into a Friday night date night to see if it lived up to my hopes and dreams. Spoiler alert: it mostly did...and then some. The moment the door opened, the smell of straight-up sugary sweetness hit me in the face in the best possible way. The menu is absolutely ridiculous -- in the most delightful sense. If you can dream of a sweet treat, it's probably on that menu. I was overwhelmed, overjoyed, and fully committed to poor decision-making. After what felt like an eternity of deliberation, I landed on a Reese's Cheesecake ($8.23 for a ridiculously huge slice) and an absolutely unhinged Peanut Butter Pie Milkshake ($9.30). My Adventure Buddy went with two waffle sticks drizzled with milk chocolate and pistachio drizzle, plus a Spanish latte. Total, including tip? $38...for dessert. And honestly? Sometimes being an adult with adult money really is the best. The combination of the cheesecake and milkshake was mind-blowing. I shouldn't have done it. I definitely flew too close to the sun. I may someday answer for this with a sugar-related medical condition -- but I regret NOTHING. The cheesecake was insanely rich, loaded with peanut butter accents, and there was absolutely no skimping on portion size. The milkshake? Straight out of heaven. Thick, creamy, and PACKED with peanut butter. It was food-coma good. I tuned out the outside world and existed solely in a peanut butter fever dream for a while. Adventure Buddy thoroughly enjoyed his waffle sticks and latte and gave the whole experience a solid thumbs up. Logistics-wise: plenty of free parking since it's in a strip mall, and the staff were friendly. That said, things felt a bit chaotic the night we were there. Despite having around seven staff members working, it took quite a while to get our order, and there was some snarky back-and-forth between staff that was very audible -- which felt awkward since we were the only customers in the shop at the time. Bottom line: the sweets are fantastic and absolutely worth experiencing. With just a little more customer-service awareness (or at least saving staff disagreements for out of earshot), this place could be pure dessert perfection. I'd still go back -- but next time, I'll pace myself...or at least pretend I will.

The employees were friendly and helpful, and the owner was great--he mentioned he's been in the business for about 35 years, dating back to when the shop was in Harrisburg. There's plenty of seating, making it perfect for large groups, with outdoor umbrellas and fireplaces adding a nice touch. The inside is beautifully decorated, and I especially loved the jukebox. I can't wait to come back and try the coffee and baked goods!

Juice & Java has been a Mechanicsburg staple since 2001, and after finally visiting, I can see why…read more I stopped in on a chilly, overcast Sunday evening around 5 p.m. with a very specific craving: grilled cheese and soup. Juice & Java delivered big time. When I walked in, the café was quiet, with just a couple of customers working away on laptops. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxed, with a perfectly nostalgic 90's soundtrack playing overhead. The café itself is small and quirky, with local artwork for sale adorning the walls--an inviting little space that immediately makes you want to linger. The menu was surprisingly large for such a small spot, and while their coffee selections seemed endless, I skipped the caffeine this time. Instead, I ordered: 4-Cheese Gourmet Grill ($9.95) - Monterey Jack, provolone, American & cheddar, a bowl of Roasted Red Pepper & Gouda Soup ($4.79) and two canned sodas ($1.95 each). The staff were friendly, the tables were spotless, and our food came out quickly. The grilled cheese was generously portioned--easily shareable, with perfectly gooey, melty cheese and plenty of those delightful "cheese dangly bits" that make a grilled cheese worth it. But the real star? That Roasted Red Pepper & Gouda soup. Creamy without being heavy, rich with flavor, perfectly warm, and absolutely made for dunking a grilled cheese. I was so glad I ordered a bowl instead of a cup--I would've been sad if it ended too soon. It was one of the best soup-and-sandwich combos I've had in a long time. All in, our meal was just over $20 with tip--reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. With their great hours (breakfast through dinner, seven days a week), plenty of parking in the strip mall lot, and a menu full of tempting options, I'll definitely be back to try more. If you're in the area and craving comfort food with a cozy, local vibe--skip the chains and head here.
