I opted for one of the protein bowls, which was so big that I almost couldn't finish it. My only "gripe" per se is that pretty much everything on the menu is super sweet. No savory bowls to be found here. Also, if you're watching calories, be aware that even though everything on the menu is healthy and natural, the calories tend to add up quickly when you're piling sweet fruits on top of sweeter fruits. Some of these bowls contain more calories than a Big Mac (albeit with more healthful ingredients). Definitely worth checking out. read more

I have been to a few different Playa Bowls , always the same no matter what one you go to . The fruit is always good and fresh no complaints there . The bottom part of the bowl is where they kind of bomb out . It is always hard as a rock and you have to wait a bit for it to melt some . Flavor is good it's just to solid 3.5/5 stars Worth it if you just want a bowl and are not expecting the same kind you get in the tropics . My friend was craving an açaí bowl and recommended we go to Playa Bowls. Upon entering the establishment the staff are smiling, friendly and acknowledging your presence. The lighting is bright and everything is clean and well kept. I ordered the pura vida açaí bowl which consisted of açaí base, granola, honey, strawberries and blueberries. This my second time ever having an açaí bowl and I must say Playa Bowls delivered. The granola was the right texture, not too hard and not too soft. The drizzle of honey added the right amount of sweetness to the bowl and the fruits were super fresh. I highly recommend and I will for sure be going back for more. read more

Brooke is a lovely owner who greeted everyone who came to enjoy the grand opening. The staff is super pleasant and helpful. When you walk in, you feel like you've stepped off the Boardwalk. I wish I saw their name tags but the girl who took my order was very helpful and friendly. I substituted almond butter for the peanut butter and specifically asked for gluten free granola which then the girl making my order asked me if it was due to an allergy or just preference. Although it was just preference I thought this was such a nice thing to do and it seemed like she genuinely cared.
