Hit or miss at this location. I prefer the Linglestown location (Freshido Bar and Grill). They have better cooks and a full liquor bar with happy hours. Aside from the inconsistency in the kitchen, it's OOooKAY. Their Ramen is pretty solid and the best in the area unless you want to drive to Carlisle (issei) The pad Thai is meh. Better off going to Bangkok. Their mix and match bowls are good and many of their dishes are tasty but it depends on who is in the kitchen that day. For that they get three stars and will get my patronage at their Linglestown location. read more

We were at the Fresido in Mechanicsburg, PA 17050 for lunch at 4/29 at 1 PM. My husband ordered stir fry, and I ordered Poke with Salmon and an extra raw fish. Mine was very very salty after I mixed with some hot sauce. I only put a small portion of hot sauce which was sweet and did not add wasabi sauce. I have a high blood pressure so could not eat. I brought a lot of leftover to our home. Usually raw fish is not seasoned? We were there in the past but did not noticed that salty. My husband ordered stir fry with shrimp, and I tasted a bite which was tasty but very tiny small shrimps with mostly rice. There were only 1 dining guest. I eat Bibimbop or Poke often at other restaurants buy never salty. We spent $36.22 for 2 lunches. I do not plan to go back there. My review is based solely off a take out experience. I had to go into the office for a day and wanted a healthy lunch option. We usually frequent their location in Hershey and I saw a Freshido on my way in so I went to the website to order. Got a custom poke bowl with greens, salmon and tuna with toppings. 20 min later and 5 min drive down the road I went into the store. Restaurant itself is open and bright. I got there before the lunch rush so it was pretty empty. Usually they keep the to go orders behind the counter but at this location they're right out front to the left of the ordering station. Took me a minute to see it but I checked the receipt and got my order. Someone took the time to draw a cute mouse on the bag which I really appreciate! Had plenty of fillings on my bowl and a nice serving of crab salad and seaweed salad. Very happy with my decision and will be back next time I'm in the area. read more

This was our first time in since they switched over to the new format. We ordered at the computer stations right inside the door, but realized later that is for takeout. If you're eating in, go to your table, scan the QR code and order from there. The staff was extremely helpful with Getting us waters and they clean up the tables for you. The food, was fresh and the portions were big. We created own bowls and could add on the toppings that we want it! We forgot to check out some of the appetizers which we will do the next time. They had a menu change last week and the food tonight reflected that. Took off everything on the menu that was interesting / unique and replaced with mostly rice based bowls of DIY stir fry. No ramen, no crispy tuna bites, no chicken lettuce wraps. No Thai dishes. Ingredients were skimpy, 1 swirl of zucchini spiral, small broccoli, I couldn't see the basil I paid extra for. When the first one opened in Harrisburg, I was thrilled. We ate there so frequently, they recognized us when we came in. When this one opened in Mechanicsburg, it was a little bumpy at first. A few times, they were so skimpy on ingredients we started driving further just to go to the Harrisburg location. Over time, things balanced out and the bowls were more comparable to the original location. We ate there about one a month (maybe more often sometimes). We ordered here a few times during COVID as takeout, but I could never get them to give me takeout containers of sesame oil and soy sauce (my preference as a "sauce" instead of the bottled sauces they sometimes dump all over and ruin the blend of flavors). I ate a few very bland bowls when we couldn't eat in. We recently returned to dine-in. The prices are way up (not unexpected) and they now control how much of each type of thing you can add. When we were there, they were out of the more pricy items like the masago. Masago really makes a poke bowl because of the fishy/umami flavor and the texture it adds. There were a few other things not available (maybe they are no longer on the menu). I usually go for poke because I like the salmon and masago. Before you start ordering, I really wish they'd let you know what's not available (or even post it) so you can decide if you want to eat there or not. Disappointed they made it a sit down. Will no longer be visiting very often or at all. I could go more often if I didn't have to tip for my family as that adds up. Plus we could watch them build the bowl which we like, that way we make sure our order is the way we want it. I wasn't informed of the upcharge for the multigrain rice. It was only a dollar but regardless, all up charges should be mentioned. If we have leftovers we need containers anyway and now dishes need washed plus take out container. We don't get the change. Freshido definitely hit the spot today! We ordered online and our order (two bowls) was ready in less than 15 minutes. Both of us had additions that were correctly added. The $10 price feels high, but when you consider how much food you get, it really is on point. I got the sesame tofu and added pickled ginger, pickled radishes and jalepeno. It was amazing! I always go with the zoodles base for an extra veggie hit. So good! My husband got a custom bowl that he also really enjoyed. He goes for the white rice base. I had never been to a freshido before. I had to ask a couple questions about the ordering process. I got a multigrain rice base which was really good and beef which was ok. The fresh ingredients you can add are great. I love cilantro and jalapeños and roasted garlic. My poke bowl was about ten bucks. I also couldn't resist a lilikoi passion drink. They also had a free tea (3.50) if you check in on yelp or FB which I got. (Really sweet) All in all I would go back. I would try chicken or fish next time. Hands down one of the best poke bowl places in the Northeast. This is Freshido's third location, grand-opened earlier this month. I am so happy it's right here in my neck of the woods. It's right behind Chipotle/Starbucks, not readily visible from Carlisle Pike. Access to it isn't ideal either -- if you approach from the east, you'd have to make an early left at the light by the Chevrolet dealer because you can't turn left further down the road at the main entrance to the strip mall! The format, layout, and furnishings are the same as other locations in Hershey and Harrisburg, hip and current. The ingredients are similarly fresh - they'd better be if "fresh" is part of its name! On this visit I tried scallops as choice of protein for the first time. I also picked a new dressing flavor, the Citrus White. There're endless combinations and honestly so far I love them all! Out of so many poke bowls I've had, the only notes I've taken for myself is to skip the pineapple. I love pineapple by itself, but adding it to the bowl inevitably "sours" and thus spoils the overall taste - for me anyway, some ingredients don't jive well with it. Also, make sure you get the lotus chips for the Crunch. These are my two pieces of advice. By the way, there is just one common allergen out of the nearly 50 ingredients and that is the Macadamia nut. Beyond that, it's just a matter of whether you want raw salmon/tuna or not. You can't go wrong; you'll love whatever you end up getting. Hours are 11:00 am - 9:00 pm all days of the week. Reasonably priced, healthful, great tasting without feeling of guilt. This was our go-to spot for poke. Ordered on the kiosk in store, they forgot my second protein in my bowl, there was little to no sauce and didn't get my extra crab salad. Absolutely love the changes! I have dined in twice since the new menu and really like the honey chicken bowl. I want to try everything. The coconut bubble tea is yummy too. My husband has had the tik tok chicken and the kung pow chicken and really enjoyed both. The bowl is the perfect portion for someone with a smaller appetite. Lunch portions are tiny and now they limit the toppings I can have in my bowl. I've been waiting for somewhere like this to come to Mechanicsburg!! Love all the options available to customize your own pokébowl as well as all of the bubble teas (FYI - they are all caffeinated!) I also recommend trying the multigrain rice. I decided to finally try Freshido on 11/6/20 to satisfy my curiosity about this place. As part of my goal and desire to improve my personal health that I first decided back in January 2020 (yes, really, although it now seems ironic!), I stopped by for some takeout. The employees were very patient with me as I made my selections and answered any questions I had. I ordered the beef bowl with all kinds of healthy toppings, such as nuts, fruits, veggies, and dressing. The beef was just all right; nothing to write home about. The toppings were good and overall, it was an interesting culinary experience. Perhaps next time, I'll get the chicken.
