My Pork Banh Mi sandwich was very tasty. Great bread. Lots of flavor. I would Highly recommend. The spring rolls were fresh. The sauce was good. The veggies had nice crunch. This was the first time I had Bubble anything. I had a Bubble Mocha. The bubbles were fun to chew on. The flavor was decent. But I wouldn't think it would wake me up in any sense. I found out that this had opened recently and is only about 2 miles from my house. I love bubble tea, so I was happy to find this place so close to me. It's an adorable, very clean, little place with seating inside and out. There is off street parking on the side or in the back of the building. Service was super friendly and the menu was not too big, which I liked, since it wasn't too overwhelming for newcomers to Vietnamese food. I tried the Taro Tea based upon a reviewer that commented on how good it is. Don't get me wrong -- it is good -- and it's my favorite color :) But best way to describe the taste is...did you ever drink the milk after eating a bowl of fruit loops??!! That's kind of what it tastes like! Sweet and creamy. I didn't try any of the food here but when walking by the patrons that were siting outside, their food looked amazing!! They're served with a dark, tasty peanut sauce that was good on its own but better with the addition of sriracha. The crispy rolls were delicious. No commentary, just delicious. This was my second experience at Den Bubble Tea, and I am sure at some point I will be back for a third! The boba tea here is quite good, with a variety of options. Specifically, the milk tea has been a little hit or miss. This trip, our Thai milk tea was excellent, however the taro tea was fairly milky and a little too dense. the strawberry tea pictured below was a nice change of pace and would recommend. Overall, the service here is quick and nice, however I would just like to see a little more consistency with the milk tea. Overall: Impressed! Within the first week I found out about this new pho spot I went twice! The boba was that good. The tea has an authentic flavor with a good amount of sweetness, unsure if you can request different levels. The boba itself is definitely best on the east side of the river! Sweet and chewy and tastes fresh every time. I also had the chicken pho, I believe it was new at the time and honestly I didn't think it had a ton of flavor, but I'll definitely try the combo pho and banh mi soon! Parking : parking is plentiful in the back but watch out because there's a 1 way road back there where people don't really pay attention to other cars, the traffic in this area in general is bad because the roads get congested. When I saw the "coming soon" sign for this, I immediately sent a text to my roommate (okay, I waited until I got to the stoplight, shush) OMG BUBBLE TEA SUPER CLOSE TO HOUSE WE'RE DOOMED. Yes, the menu is small, but the food was delicious. I just wanted snacky food and drinks: crispy spring rolls with the mango tea and tapioca pearls, and the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. Okay so I have a thing for textures, and it took a lot of convincing to get me to try Bubble Tea in the first place. I'm not a fan of tapioca in general, and specifically when something has inconsistent textures. Some places, you'll get soft ones, then one you have to really chew. Den's tapioca bubbles? All the same soft-barely-needed-chewing texture. I've no idea if this is how it's supposed to be done, but it's exactly how I like it. I saw that there was a new bubble tea place opening and was super excited to try! I went to try it since the grand opening was offering 20% off and was kind of disappointed. My favorite flavor bubble tea is Thai Tea so that's what I got and it didn't taste like Thai Tea at all. It tasted like sweet milk, but I guess it's because they use powdered stuff to make it. I also got jelly instead of boba and it was ok. The jelly was a little too sweet for my liking so next time I'll stick to the boba. The plate of herbs had plenty of jalapenos and freshly cut limes. Mostly high volume places have old cut lime and jalapenos. The egg rolls are good. The traditional vietnamese banh mi was very good, the roll was warm and on point, the meats the cilantro was fresh, I wished I had a bit more pâté. The mango drink was good but not the, the best places make them out of real fruit. Price: If you get a large, the price per ounce of bubble tea that you get is better in comparison to all the other bubble tea places I've been to around the Harrisburg area. Anytime I see a short menu I know the food is going to be great. The pho broth was tasty and clear. The excess oil and meat fat had been clearly meticulously removed providing that crisp taste that allows the flavors like basil, cilantro and lemon to shine through. When I traveled in Vietnam this is what the street pho broth tasted like. More herbaceous and less greasy. The bowls admittedly are smaller then other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. But I'm trying to enjoy my food not leave feeling like a greasy sponge. The bubble tea is the best in the area. I'm spoiled by california bubble tea but this will definitely satisfy any craving. Finally, we were sitting outside and some wind blew away literally all our food. The staff was so worried, re-made all our food and tried to not charge us. Absolutely awesome. This is my first Yelp review, but I wanted to support this place. After spending a lot of time in Hawaii and LA, it can be hard to find really good Asian food in other places. This is the best boba I have found in the area. I had the Thai tea. It was very sweet (which I like) and after a half hour it still wasn't watered down and the tapioca was still soft.
