Sea singer and TNT rolls.

I'm actually shocked by the number of positive reviews. First, the restaurant smells bad. Second the service is poor. Was here for lunch and was told to order at the counter as there was no table service. Third the atmosphere is lacking. Finally, the sushi presentation was good, the taste was a six out of 10.

Strolling by I decided to walk in and try sushi in Harrisburg, I read the reviews and it's true this spot is very good. The basic rolls are $5, the chef keep is rolls tight. But the fish is tasty and fresh. I went with a basic spicy tuna and my favorite salmon skin roll...both were excellent. Service was excellent, and this place is a little dated...but the music being a jazzy and fun.

please for the love of G-d clean this place from top to bottom it's worse than a Wuhan-Wet-Market, after-all you're serving RAW FISH!

3-stars for decent price & mediocre service, rounded down to 2-Stars for the filthiest sushi bar I've seen in my lifetime--- please for the love of G-d clean this place from top to bottom it's worse than a Wuhan-Wet-Market, after-all you're serving RAW FISH!

Always a good meal with delicious sushi and Japanese food! I've been coming here for years, even before my yelp days, and never a bad experience. Through the pandemic, this restaurant has had delivery drivers and customers line-up outside with cars double parked in the street. If they're that busy, they're doing something right. I love the tuna sushi rolls because it's always so fresh. Chicken teriyaki is another go to for me and the sides of fried rice, soup, and salad complete that meal perfectly. Last night, I ordered online through their website and was glad to see I was only charged a $1.50 fee for using that service. Free would be better, but it was convenient enough to use. Once the pandemic is over, hopefully everyone can continue to enjoy inside dining and also order alcoholic drinks.

Crunchy Salmon and Shaky Dog Roll

Great sushi and fried rice. Prefer the miso soup over clear soup. Portion size for the takeout fried rice could be a little more.

Miyako Sushi satisfies every single time. It is by far my favorite place to order take out from. The sushi is always flavorful and fresh. I also love their teriyaki dinners. I've had the teriyaki salmon, chicken, shrimp and steak. It comes with rice and veggies. For an up charge you can get fried rice instead of white rice. The small comes with enough food for two servings. I always have leftovers. My order usually consists of a sushi roll and a small teriyaki dinner. Even with the tip my delivery orders doesn't surpass $20. If you're looking for food that tastes good and is packaged with care for delivery you must give Miyako Sushi a try.

Delivery. So good.

So one good thing about COVID is the number of places we have tried because of delivery. There are places I wouldn't have tried because of location, parking, convenience but with delivery it's fun to try completely new places. (There have been horror stories) Anyway back to the review, I was in the mood for teriyaki chicken and we found this place. The sushi looked fantastic by the way, though we didn't try it this time. My wife got hibachi steak and I got chicken teriyaki. It was so good! The onions and broccoli were fantastic. I didn't even realize it came with a ginger salad and a miso soup. We only could eat about 1/2 each and as leftovers it was very good too. Everything was packaged great for delivery too. I would definitely try it again.

Yum yum roll (top) & spider roll (bottom) - both 5's!

Update: This is the best local sushi. I was wanting to give this place another try. With my first experience, the issue was with the service not the sushi. Granted, it was 12:30 on a Saturday, during Covid-19. So, I tried it again & wow! I ordered two of the special combos, Maki and section A, both with salads and everything was amazing. I order the Yum Yum & the spider roll and they were both awesome. All this delicious, quality sushi for only $23! Also, the service was great. They said only 15 minutes for the food. It was waiting for me when I got there, packaged nicely, & the worker that greeted me was very kind. This place is top of my list. Give it a try.

Food took over 45min. The seating area was dirty. And the sushi itself was subpar. It was definitely not my favorite place to eat.

There were probably 8 to 10 spots out front in their parking lot as well as street parking. Upon entering I was immediately greeted, seated, and handed a menu.(pictures included). There was a large selection of sushi, however I decided upon the salmon teriyaki. I chose a diet cola as my beverage, not being in the mood for hot or sweet tea, etc. My order arrived on a sizzling platter within 10 minutes. On the table was soy sauce and low sodium soy sauce which was what I used on my white rice. The salmon was accompanied with onions, sliced carrots, and broccoli, and everything was delicious (Photo included in my accompanying pics). The restaurant was clean, reasonably quiet, not excessively busy during my time there, and with an active take out service in action. The photo of my tab is includes. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with great service and food!

Tried their sister restaurant, Kanagawa in Mechanicsburg for lunch with my wife today. After…read morehearing Akitas is owned by the same people and it's in Lemoyne, so a little closer to home, I brought the whole family back for dinner. Just like Kanagawa, this place is excellent and now the second good place for sushi we've finally found - after a year of trying places. For apps we had shrimp shumai dumplings and vegetable egg rolls (spring rolls). Tasty and quickly gone. With three kids and two adults, it only made sense to go for the party boat. It came with 4x soups or salads, 6x pieces of sashimi (we had 2x each tuna, salmon, and whitetail), 6x pieces of nigiri (2x each tuna, salmon, and red snapper), and 4x specialty rolls of our choice. The nigiri and sashimi disappeared first, and even my youngest ate more fish than she ever has. She usually just gets the cucumber roll, and did again tonight, but tried a lot of the fish because it was so good. The fish was all tender and delicious. We had 2x Terry Rolls (wife had one for lunch and liked it so much she got it again and talked one daughter into it also), one Queen Roll, and one Crazy Roll. All super tasty and eaten up. Finished off with one green tea ice cream and the fried cheesecake. Kids declared the ice cream the best they've had, and after reluctantly taking one bite of the cheesecake, they all tore into that as well. The only downside here is the prices are a bit higher than at Kanagawa, and some sushi with the same name at both places look like they actually have slightly different ingredients between the two restaurants. So just because you love a certain roll at one, you led better double check before ordering the same at the other. Otherwise, food was fantastic, service was great, and the restaurant was beautiful. Kids were super happy to have finally found good sushi again. Whoever owns these joints - thanks for two great sushi meals in the same day, and a happy family.

My recent dinner date was a mix of incredible culinary highs and notable logistical letdowns…read more Walking in during peak dinner hours without a reservation, I was pleasantly surprised by the minimal wait time, which set a great initial tone for the evening. Once seated, the meal started strong. The shrimp appetizer was great, perfectly cooked and flavorful. For the main course, I ordered the hibachi scallops, and they were genuinely some of the best I have ever had. They completely lacked any fishy taste, offering a tender, savory profile that truly showcased the chef's skill. Unfortunately, the side dishes did not match that high standard. Both the onion soup and the ginger salad were underwhelming and easily the weakest parts of the meal. The biggest drawback, however, was the value. With each main plate priced between $30 and $50+, I expected a satisfying portion size. Sadly, there was not enough food to leave with leftovers, and worse, I did not even leave feeling full. While the flavor of the seafood was nothing short of amazing, I simply cannot justify the high price tag when paired with lackluster sides and such small portions.

(I was told about the fried rice up charge and only steamed rice is included with the entrees). There is one full hibachi (11 people) next to us and ours is us (2) and another couple. Two other tables have already finished and are leaving. Soup is here quickly and it's excellent with those caramelized onions on the bottom. Salad is out before we finish the bowls of soup. No chopsticks on the table, we'll eat the salad (needs more dressing, but good) with the fork which was wrapped inside the napkin. Now, we are enjoying watching the chef prepare our meals. He is very entertaining and friendly. My meal, Mr. Hoc's Treat, was a chicken and New York strip combo. Excellent and the accompanying veggies and fried rice totally on point. Upon conclusion of the meal I can say 4 stars maybe 5 with quicker service. The traditional Japanese decor is nice but a little dated. We both took to-go boxes with lots of leftover food. Two meals each basically. Very happy with this dining experience and we will be back, maybe for lunch one time.
