    Sushi boat

Can't believe this is the first time trying this hidden gem. Delightful and enjoyable service. The sushi was a work of art. Delicate and delicious with a great variety for the only-veggie sushi lovers, the sashimi lovers and the ultimate roll lovers at our table. We also had piping hot miso soup, edamame and vegetable egg rolls with a light homemade dipping sauce to share. We will be back to try their ramen soon.

Of the 12 sushi restaurants I've visited so far in the Harrisburg area, this is my #1! It's an adorable, clean little shop with peaceful atmosphere and beautiful decorations. The owner and staff are very friendly. This is my favorite spot to get raw sushi especially, as their selection is always fresh and the seasoning on their rice suits raw fish perfectly. They also have a very good selection of appetizers, with some interesting items you won't find elsewhere in the area. However, there aren't many cooked entree options like teriyaki, hibachi, noodles, fried rice, etc. that you might find at other Japanese restaurants. Their menu is slightly pricier than other sushi shops locally, and they don't do lunch specials. Personally, I think the slightly higher prices are worth it for the consistent quality. If you're a lover of simple, fresh raw sushi, this might be the best choice around Harrisburg!

I was in town and it stopped here with a friend for lunch. Small little place in town with friendly service. We had a spicy tuna roll. That was pretty good and I got the beef noodles. I didn't love the actual beef, but the noodles were great, I would return for some more stuff for sure

Fire decent sushi place I've found on the East or West shores; all the rest were "meh," and this one was great. Had lunch there today. It's small, but the hostess/waitress was super friendly and engaged with us at the bar. The chef was less talkative, but zero complaints about his handiwork. We had gyoza, spring rolls, the Terry Roll, the King Roll, and some tuna nigiri. The apps were good; the sushi was fantastic. Unfortunately the one pic I snapped was after we'd devoured the nigiri, because that tuna was melt in your mouth delicious. The Terry Roll shrimp tempura and crab combo was so good it made me angry she ordered it and I didn't, so I stole two pieces. The King Roll had smoked salmon with a Smokey flavor that slowly released to a perfect complimentary flavor in my mouth. All around fantastic. Prices were great, especially for sushi. Great food, great service, great price; it may be a once a week lunch spot for me. Waitress told us the same people own Akitas in Lemoyne, so I'll be taking the whole family this time for another round of sushi tonight.

    Christmas roll and renee roll

Had a lovely Sunday evening dinner here. Someone needs to fix the hours because upon calling I found out they're open til 8pm on Sundays, not closed as it says on yelp. Service was friendly, attentive, and quick. We got miso soup (delish), chicken teriyaki with rice (fresh and flavorful, broccoli was really high quality), and 3 rolls. I enjoyed the christmas roll the most, a winter special. The Renee roll was nice and spicy but not as good as Christmas roll. The messiah roll was good but a little too much cream cheese. Would come again!

    Beef teriyaki

Beef teriyaki was tender, vegetables were cooked well. Messiah roll was outstanding, Queen roll was tasty as well. Service was friendly and attentive. We will be back!

This is our sushi place! We love the atmosphere, the owner is always so inviting and polite (even when we showed up at almost closing time because Covid hours). Treated us like family and the food is amaaaazing! Our kids love the food too so it's def a win.

I really wanted to like this place. I love sushi. I love poke. I loved the idea of a sushi place close to where I live. Unfortunately, I walked out of there feeling like I had spent way too much for food that was disappointing. When we arrived, there were several tables open. The entire time we were there, the place remained half empty. So, there weren't that many people. The table was dirty. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands after touching the table, and there was no toilet paper. (Thank goodness I didn't need to go.) Service was poor and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. We didn't order anything fancy and there were only four people in our group. We each ordered one item. The orders are small. Entrees came out of luncheon sized plates. I overheard two other tables mention that the servings were much smaller than expected. Not sure if the restaurant ran out of dinner size plates, or if that was the norm. Those of us who ordered the sushi bowls for $10.99 were completely underwhelmed. The bowls were mostly rice. The other thing that took up the space was seaweed salad. Once you pulled the fish aside, you realized it wasn't a very large serving of protein. The pile of fish just looked bigger because it was sitting on top of the rice and seaweed. The sushi bowls have very few ingredients. If you want to try a sushi bowl, go to a really good poke place like Freshido. This was disappointing. The bowls were completely bland. Even worse, they were doused with a ton of super sweet sauce (eel sauce?) that made the dish goopy and syrupy sweet. I have no interest in a sushi bowl that tastes like dessert. We also ordered two rolls. A Mechanicsburg Roll and a Queen Roll. Both were $10.99. They both were sloppy and looked like they were rolled by kids in elementary school, and were too small for the price. They were also bland. We asked for spicy and ended up with goopy sweet eel sauce on everything. I can't believe it was almost $50 for what, in the end, was primarily rice (for both the bowls and the rolls). All four of us left hungry. Never again.

DELICIOUS sushi, I think the same people own or work for Akita's and it's sublime. Two words: sushi boat. Great service, lovely atmosphere, BYOB

Outstanding quality sushi! I chose the Christmas roll and yummy roll. Both had mango, avocado, tuna, salmon. Absolutely delicious! Great service too!

There were probably 8 to 10 spots out front in their parking lot as well as street parking. Upon entering I was immediately greeted, seated, and handed a menu.(pictures included). There was a large selection of sushi, however I decided upon the salmon teriyaki. I chose a diet cola as my beverage, not being in the mood for hot or sweet tea, etc. My order arrived on a sizzling platter within 10 minutes. On the table was soy sauce and low sodium soy sauce which was what I used on my white rice. The salmon was accompanied with onions, sliced carrots, and broccoli, and everything was delicious (Photo included in my accompanying pics). The restaurant was clean, reasonably quiet, not excessively busy during my time there, and with an active take out service in action. The photo of my tab is includes. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with great service and food!

The dining room is spotlessly cleaned and organized. I would have liked to see more cooked rolls on their menu as I am not a huge sushi fan, but the rolls I ate were meticulously constructed, fresh and delicious.
