KPot is truly a gem! The atmosphere is modern with urban vibe decor. It's a cool place. And the service is excellent, from beginning to end. Our server helped us select our broth and gave us newcomers a lay of the hot pot land. You can order your hot pot add-ins by tablet on table-- and the food comes out without delay. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our tablet selections were delivered to the table. Now onto the food and drink. We ordered the strawberry lemonade and regular milk teas. The strawberry lemonade was sweet but not overly so- very refreshing. And the kiddos reported that the milk teas was delicious. Now- onto the hot pot experience, which was so much fun! For broths, we tried the tomato, miso, and the spicy tom ka gha, which were all packed with flavor. Yum. KPot has a wide variety of meats and add ins for your hot pot. We tried the ribeye, brisket, beef tongue, pork, lamb, shumai, goyoza, octopus, eggplant, ramen, potato, and udon noodles. The beef tongue and the lamb were my favorites. But there was much more to try, we really only scratched the surface. With the seasons changing, it seems like you might get sick more often. Maybe that's why they call this pneumonia weather. I first went to my number one spot to get some soup, and unfortunately, they were closed today. So I decided to go get pho at a new-to-me spot, and it was very good. The thing about soup is, it's not just about what you put in it. It's all about the broth and how it's made from the beginning. It's something like building a house. If you don't have a good foundation, then whenever a storm or strong winds come, that house will eventually fall down. The same thing goes for soup. If the broth isn't good, the rest of the ingredients inside the soup won't be either. Luckily for this bowl, the broth was amazing, and I really enjoyed it. The time I went was roughly around 2:30 PM, and honestly, that was probably the best time to go. I almost had the whole restaurant to myself besides two other people inside. It was a good experience. The décor was very nice, the staff was very friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. The soup did its job and hit the spot. I didn't even have to get anything to drink because all I needed was the broth. I definitely recommend this place, and I hope my review helps you find some good food in a peaceful, quiet environment. Our server tried to cut it with a little extra cheese, but the flavor still was more salt than anything else. The chocolate fondue was delicious, but if you're veg, you're going to get just fruit. (I guess the other items normally served with the dessert fondue aren't vegan.) That's fine with me, as I love just about any combination of fruit, nuts, and chocolate. The table we sat at was odd, with my boyfriend's seat against the wall dividing booths. And it was a bit tricky reaching the pot from our seats. Also, unless you're there often, it's pretty easy to get lost in the maze of rooms. I hope Melting Pot can fix the salty vegan cheese issue. It's a nice experience otherwise.

I've always passed Onions but never stopped in. They're a little diner spot on queen street that serves American breakfast with authentic Korean dishes for lunch.
