Break banquet!
Jim P.

New chef, Chef Chen, at the NEW China Queen. The food to top notch, authentic, and delicious. Chen's Mapo Tofu is soooo good. Our last meal there,(ordered by a knowledgeable Chinese food critic) consisted of the Mapo Tofu, steak with peppers, shrimp with cashew nuts, roast pork with asparagus, chicken with snow peas and pineapple, and cold steamed chicken with chile sauce. All different sauces, all terrific. Chen's delightful wife will be serving your food. Heads-up, service can be a little slow because the food is being prepared while you wait. Get a menu and pre- order if you're in a hurry. There is no bar but you can BYOB. Well worth a try!

Take out only. Have to order through their app online. Wait FOREVER outside in the cold. Food is decent.

They have the best sesame chicken and crab Rangoon anywhere around. They are one of my regular go tos for my occassional cheat days.

This place is disgusting and should not be in business…read more The food consistently tastes like rancid, overused oil -- bitter, greasy, and foul. Not "strong," not "authentic," just spoiled. It leaves a nasty coating in your mouth and makes you feel sick afterward. That is not normal. The breaking point: I found a piece of stainless steel scouring pad (Chore Boy-style wire) in my food. I brought it back to show them, and instead of immediately issuing a refund, they tried to negotiate by offering 50% off. It took several minutes of back-and-forth before they finally refunded me, and only after I made it clear I wasn't trying to scam anyone or looking for free food. I told them plainly: I don't need the money -- you made a mistake, and you need to fix it. That response says everything about their standards. Any place that argues over refunding food containing metal does not care about cleanliness or accountability. This isn't a one-off issue. It's a pattern of cheap ingredients, abused fryer oil, careless preparation, and minimal concern for customers. I genuinely don't understand how this place passes health inspections. I love good Chinese food. This is not that. This is low-quality strip-mall food sold at full price to people who don't know better. Avoid this place.

From one manager to the next, this place did not survive. The wait staff is as friendly as ever,…read morebut the food is deplorable. The sweet and sour sauce was NEITHER, which...I mean it's just red glop at that point. The rice may as well have been fried rice for how dry it was. The bbq chicken sticks were just dry, red colored chicken that maybe someone sat next to a hoisin sauce jar, none of it made it on the chicken, though. Tasteless. And to top it off, we both have loose stomachs the day after. So...wow, 40 bucks then, huh? And why was it hotter than blazes in there?! Too cheap for basic AC? I mean even with regulation HVAC that should have at least made it so it wasn't as humid as a July day in early April. There is a 0% chance that kitchen is following the rules. I'm all for second chances but there is a consistently poor level of sanitation and food quality at this place, while prices keep going up. And while I can forgive bland, tasteless food, getting me sick? Now that requires an answer. It's time for a call to the health inspector.

Gourmet Buffet for some reason gets a lot of negative reviews, but I can honestly say I've never…read morehad a bad experience here. It's located in the Buckhorn Plaza between Walmart and Lowe's. They have a significant amount of seating for even a buffet, but takeout is also available. Stations include western food, a salad bar, Chinese food items, fried items, and two desert areas. The center station has Sushi and it's acceptable, but it's not a Sushi bar being freshly made like many buffets now offer. If dining here for dinner, they will often have a table setup for various seafood items. At least during lunch, I have not seen the hibachi area used in some time. Items that stand out include the Lo mein, which is better than at a lot of buffets I've dined at, and the Chicken and Broccoli is also quite good. Desert station has both fresh and canned fruits, puddings, cookies, and serve ice-cream. Beverages are Pepsi products. Overall, for the selection and price, Gourmet Buffet is a great option that I feel is underappreciated in our area.
