This place is disgusting and should not be in business. The food consistently tastes like rancid, overused oil -- bitter, greasy, and foul. Not "strong," not "authentic," just spoiled. It leaves a nasty coating in your mouth and makes you feel sick afterward. That is not normal. The breaking point: I found a piece of stainless steel scouring pad (Chore Boy-style wire) in my food. I brought it back to show them, and instead of immediately issuing a refund, they tried to negotiate by offering 50% off. It took several minutes of back-and-forth before they finally refunded me, and only after I made it clear I wasn't trying to scam anyone or looking for free food. I told them plainly: I don't need the money -- you made a mistake, and you need to fix it. That response says everything about their standards. Any place that argues over refunding food containing metal does not care about cleanliness or accountability. This isn't a one-off issue. It's a pattern of cheap ingredients, abused fryer oil, careless preparation, and minimal concern for customers. I genuinely don't understand how this place passes health inspections. Got the beef and broccoli, with canned soda and egg roll ( you can choose either for the base price) and was pleasantly surprised. The broccoli was crisp, the beef melted in my mouth, and the rice was a light yellow. The price was right, and I don't know what spice it was, but if I didn't know where I was, I would think I was eating in Chinatown (Boston where my heart is). Another fantastic little fast Chinese joint! Having read some of the pther reviews, I simply cannot fathom how people expect some hipster-crap nonsense in the middle of coal country. Judging a place according to standards it never claimed for itself is ridiculous. That's like getting mad a McDonald's for having lousy roast McPheasant. This restaurant delivers what it promises and probably has the best pork-fried rice in the area! Their egg rolls are extra crispy and their portions are large. They're very nice folks, there, too! If you like unpretentious greasy Chinese food then stop in and say hi today. I especially recommend the BBQ chicken! For Ameri-Chin food in a small town in basically the middle of nowhere in Pennsyl-Bama it is palatable, but still categorized by the use of sickeningly sweet sauces and the. other negative Ameri-Chijn food characteristics. Simple order at the counter place, interior is reasonably clean, there are a few tables inside for seating, located in the midst of this pleasant college town's restaurant, café, and bar strip. Staff seem pleasant. Just don't know why perfectly good stir fried vegetables, seafood, pork, and chicken have to be ruined by dousing them in sugar!! It started out well with the Chinese donuts, but went downhill quickly. We thought the orange glazed pineapple chicken would be appetizing; however, it had zero flavor. The glaze was very watery and there wasn't much pineapple flavor. The chicken wasn't cooked the best either. The fried rice and the egg roll were very dry. The experience really wasn't that good. I called to order two items for delivery: Dim Sum and Beef Ho Fun. I ended up getting dim sum and szechuan beef, effectively increasing the price of my order. I called back to complain, and the lady insisted she heard me say szechuan beef. I know very well what I ordered, and I did not care for her attitude and lack of accepting responsibility for her mistake. I told her she needed to repeat back what she thought she heard in the future. I would suggest recording future conversations with their permission/knowledge, or perhaps ordering by number instead of name. Or else go in person and point at the menu so there is no misunderstanding. With as many mistakes as other people have complained about, I cannot help but wonder if these 'mistakes' always result in a price increase.. as a tactic to increase sales. Their Dim Sum is not authentic and a little over salted as well as rather greasy, and I have no idea what meat was used since the menu does not specify. After eating two of them, the rest were difficult to choke down due to the grease. I have now categorized them as a very mediocre wanna-be-chinese greasy spoon, and will be ordering elsewhere in the future. I've had there food before but yesterday I went to order Boneless spare ribs and Lomain with extra sauce so that the ribs an Lomain were not dry. I go to pick it up and it's the complete opposite the ribs were super dry no flavor the Lomain was too soft and soggy with no flavor. The sad part is I took a couple bites and didn't even finish it idk I didn't take it back guess I was too lazy but it was terrible!!! Never Again. Very disappointed.
