Tasted like plain white rice. Paid 12 dollars for something I could've made in the rice steamer. The Mongolian beef was tasteless and resembled nothing like Mongolian beef. Gourmet Buffet for some reason gets a lot of negative reviews, but I can honestly say I've never…read morehad a bad experience here. It's located in the Buckhorn Plaza between Walmart and Lowe's. They have a significant amount of seating for even a buffet, but takeout is also available. Stations include western food, a salad bar, Chinese food items, fried items, and two desert areas. The center station has Sushi and it's acceptable, but it's not a Sushi bar being freshly made like many buffets now offer. If dining here for dinner, they will often have a table setup for various seafood items. At least during lunch, I have not seen the hibachi area used in some time. Items that stand out include the Lo mein, which is better than at a lot of buffets I've dined at, and the Chicken and Broccoli is also quite good. Desert station has both fresh and canned fruits, puddings, cookies, and serve ice-cream. Beverages are Pepsi products. Overall, for the selection and price, Gourmet Buffet is a great option that I feel is underappreciated in our area.
