My wife and I both ordered a Combination Meal last evening. After eating the meal my wife experienced Severe Nausea and was up all night. In retrospect, I should have read the Reviews before ordering. read more

They charged me twice for my take out sushi order. Expensive to say the least. Still trying to get my refund. Unreal.

I used to work in Danville and I've eaten at this place many times was always an excellent restaurant, but there's eggrolls are the best. Then when Covid hit they wouldn't allow you to come in to eat and it's still like that which I hate Covid is over anyway got lunch today and both of our meals were awful. The eggrolls were extremely tough. Even the dog didn't want them sesame shrimp? I don't know what the sauce was. It tasted like thickened soy sauce. I had the Kung pow chicken, which is my favorite. It's always made with sliced chicken breast. This had breaded chunks like they used for general Tso. Last time there was mediocre, but this time was horrible. I don't see myself going back anytime soon. There are plenty of other good places around. read more

Walked in ordered a general tso's shrimp order was ready in 15 minutes for take-out which was really quick! Surprised to also see some broccoli in there with the shrimp. There was a good helping of food between the shrimp, broccoli, and white rice. Delicious food, wasn't too salty or sweet just perfect. Ambiance was traditional and fitting. Service great. read more

Mediocre at best. Food average. Restaurant has no lights outside. Drove past twice looking for it. Inside looks time forgot.

Favorite Chines takeout in the area. I'm a vegetarian and they have so many options, but my meat-eater boyfriend loves the sushi and general tsos chicken. I recommend the sweet potato sushi-- it's delicious, filling, and cheap! Service is always quick and friendly. read more

Flavorful and quick. She was very nice and polite. I got the small portions and they were smaller than what I wanted, but it makes sense since its half the portion of the regular size. Im from California and I think the food here was pretty good. Thank you read more

Food is always good and hot when delivered. Customer service is great and polite. I would not order or go anyplace else.

Nasty, unflavorable food. doesn't taste like Chinese-style food. Ordered a few Shrimp rolls and there were no Shrimp! The rolls had absolutely no shrimp At least I thought. the Shrimp were soooo tiny (salad shrimp) and someone had the patience to slice them on the side. OMG! Disappointing. Absolute SLOP at best! More like spring rolls. Ball park franks are fatter and not more than 3.5 inches long! read more

Great local place. Always delicious! They are always quick, food is always fresh. Even the sushi, never disappoints.

Spent $20 just for it to go in the garbage food was horrible didn't have any sauce on it and rice tasted burnt egg rolls are finger sized read more

Ruyee - Shrimp and Broccoli Shrimp and Chinese Vegetable - Sushi Bars Near Me - Danville, Pennsylvania

Only open for takeout.. front area appears dirty and chicken and rice was unflavorful. Can only imagine what the rest of the restaraunt looks like that isn't visible from the takeout area. read more

Totally satisfying take out! We had the sesame chicken, sesame tofu, and string beans and finished all of it. Would recommend for a movie night at home! read more

My extended family and I have gotten takeout from here on a regular basis for years. The food is consistently very good and the prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. read more

Best Chinese place in Danville. This is a typical American Chinese restaurant, but also has sushi. Service is always 15-20 minutes for pick up and dining in is also speedy. Food has always been consistent and haven't had a bad meal here for the many years we have frequented. read more

To start with, this is not an authentic Chinese culinary experience. If you come to a cow town like Danville and expect that...well I don't know what's wrong with you. Look where you are. So why Ruyee? Because it's your quintessential American Chinese junk food take out place! It's all your favorite sugary and starchy dishes with zero misplaced hipster pretension. All the guys you love are there: sweet n' sour chicken, pork fried rice, krab rangoon, wonton soup, General Tso's...you know the drill! The dinner prices are reasonable, but where this place shines is the lunch specials. You get one of you favorite entres, a huge helping of fried rice, and a fun-sized spring roll for just a few bucks and it's enough that you'll likely have some leftover rice. This is the type of small town American place that is sadly disappearing altogether, being replaced by artsy fartsy upscale "culinary experiences". Blech. This is feed your face fare, the portions are generous, and the folks who work here are very nice. read more

Stopped her for earlier dinner. We asked for a high chair but it never came. Walking in I noticed how dirty all the windows are and it scared me. Menus was sticky.... overall it was dark. No music. Kinda weird. I don't think they are used to having people dine in. They Forgot our rice for one of our dishes. Too many onions in the string bean dish and overall little attention to detail. Never checked on or had drinks refreshed. We were the only people in the restaurant..... Prices were ok. Wouldn't come back. Maybe the sushi is better. I didn't try it because I was a little scared. When I see interior not taken care of and dirty surfaces, ordering sushi doesn't happen. read more

Got sushi and sashimi from here last night and it was great. I was told a few years ago their food was great and regretted not going sooner! When I'm in the mood for food from any Chinese's place I will definitely make the drive to this place! read more

Pretty good Chinese food in downtown Danville. The dining room is poorly lit, but the food has kept me coming back. Keeping with my oil-free vegan diet, I get the mixed vegetable soup with vegetable broth, and mei fun noodles with mixed vegetables, both without oil. They also serve sushi. On occasion, I'll have sushi rolls (either asparagus, avocado, and cucumber, or asparagus, or pickled vegetable). Service is decent. read more

Unfortunately yelp apparently doesn't allow or a ZERO star rating, otherwise we would proudly award this excuse for an Asian style restaurant out first ZERO ! Let the record show that one is one too many. Look, we knew we were visiting our son in rural, central Pennsylvania for parents weekend at his college and the poor kid is dying for real Chinese food. I looked, I tried and this is where fate (and this other Yelpers - thanks gang) steered us. Our table for 6 endured some of the worst excuse for Chinese food we have ever witnessed !? Did we expect true authentic food, no - we would have gladly settled for truthful Americanized Chinese food quite frankly....but what we got were overlooked and burnt, oily shrimp toast, the smallest egg roll known to man (when food is this average small is actually a good thing!), okay steamed dumplings (sorry we didn't quit there) followed by misrepresented and honestly horribly goopy and tasteless fare. What was supposed to be shredded pork in garlic sauce was actually old and dry roasted pork in some glaze ?!?! What the fuxk !?! The special seafood platter listed as including lobster and crab (not fake crab with a "k" as in imitation "Krab" but crab) and scallops and shrimp - was a few decently sized shrimp and a scallop swimming in some gloppy pus-like sauce with plenty of fake KRAB slices and not a lobster in sight. The beef dish was also swimming in gloppy corn starch rich an flavorless sauce. All but the seafood was listed as spicy and trust me when I say there doesn't appear to be a person cooking in the kitchen that has a freaking clue what spicy is. There is a sushi bar as well in this large and basically empty joint - no fish visible in Ye glass case on a Saturday night. Only for the brave unless they serve KRAB in these as well. If I were Chinese or Japanese I would be seriously insulted. As a well traveled visitor and consumer who paid almost $100 for dinner here - and had tried to honor his hard working college student son's request for "real Chinese food" and not the junk they serve us in the cafeteria at his college - it fell so short as to be insulting and shameful. If you live I this town and this is as good as it gets - well I am sorry the bar is set so low. But a deceitful menu and a waitress who when asked about beat dishes informs you she has been there all of 2 days ! I say drive to the next town and try somewhere else - or better yet cook your own Chinese food. I can do better and that is pathetic. Shame on the owners of this place. I didn't make a scene because my two sons and their grandparents were with us - but we all knew the food was crap and we got ripped off. Never again. read more

OMG sushi in Danville??!! A must for either lunch or dinner! I love sushi....this restaurant is great. Also decent Chinese food too. You will not be disappointed. read more

Ruyee - Nom nom nom - Sushi Bars Near Me - Danville, Pennsylvania

Okay didn't expect much from this place, but decided to give it a shot. The phoenix roll was the only roll I liked it. The other rolls were mediocre and the sashimi was frozen in the middle... so definitely did not eat that. I'll probably come back if I have an extreme sushi craving again one day, but otherwise no. read more

got wonton soup and chicken lo mein. very bland for my taste. will try the sushi next time. read more

I love this place! The food is always delicious and the staff is always super nice! If you order take out, they normally tell you to give it about 15-20 minutes. I usually give it about half an hour as the food typically wasn't ready when I would arrive. Apart from that, this is a great place to dine! read more

Very solid Chinese restaurant. The lo mien had great flavor, the egg rolls are the crispy thin ones so I really enjoyed them. The sushi looks a little shady, I did not try it but it's in this dark little corner and the woman who answers the phone and takes your money prepares it... I didn't see any hand washing or gloves ! It is not a cheap restaurant but if you're looking for a solid place to get takeout from... This is it! read more

Sushi has always been good especially for the price. Good enough to meet the sushi craving but doesn't hurt the wallet like the fancier places read more

Perhaps I am spoiled because I have eaten Asian cuisine in larger urban areas? The spring and summer rolls are pathetic and the size of a roll of dimes! The diner I ordered contained your typical Asian restaurant bought beef and pork. It all looks the same, tastes the same, and appears to be bought from the same distributor/supplier of Asian restaurants. read more

If your looking for authentic high-quality sushi, Ruyee's is definitely not the place to visit. I were extremely excited to get my sushi game on, until I tried my first roll. The sushi was extremely salty and the spicy tuna tasted a little too fishy if you know what I mean. The atmosphere consisted of horrible lighting and tacky Chinese lettering. Also, the bathrooms were atrocious ..... Visit at your own risk ppl! read more

Extremely underrated, this place has excellent food and friendly service, not to mention a decent beer selection at great prices

Pretty darn good Chinese food. I eat here about once a week for lunch and my favorites are the Kung Pao chicken, Pad Thai and Singapore Chow Mei Fun (spicy!). The sushi is also really good. read more

We really enjoy this place. Good food and decent prices. Their sushi is usually very good, though we have had a couple of experiences where it was so-so. Their seating could also use an upgrade. The benches on the booths are pretty wore out. I've also found that dining in the restaurant tends to come with slow(er) service. Between the uncomfortable seating and slow service, we tend to order take-out far more often than we dine in. Their portions are very filling and overall, the food is very good. read more

I totally agree with alan c. on this restaurant. The service was horrible!! I ordered the Sashimi deluxe with miso soup. My friend ordered dumplings and a chicken with cashews dish. First my soup came. It was ok, not the best. After I ate my soup and my bowl was removed, my friend's dumplings came. She ate her dumplings then her dinner came. After a few minutes, I turned to the waitress and asked about my meal. She said it was coming. After a few more minutes (my friend had ate half her dinner) my sashimi came. It was presented in a rice bowl!! I asked if that's how they normally served their sashimi deluxe meal and I was told that was exactly how it was served. I began eating the dish only to find some pieces were not only hard, but were STILL FROZEN!!! THAT was the reason my meal took as long as it did!! They were trying to defrost it!!! I complained and said the meal was not eatable. They removed the dish from the table but did NOT offer me a replacement meal. My friend completed her dinner. My friend's check arrived. A few moments later so did mine. Although they did not charge me for the sashimi, they did charge me for the miso soup. I will NEVER return to this restaurant. Rude, incompetent servers. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from here!!! read more

Friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed the empire roll. Sushi roll was fresh and delicious. Definitely coming back!

My son and I came here to eat after an appt the Decor is dated but honestly I'm here to eat. The staff was nice and the serve was prompt. We order several sushi rolls and they were all very good and the vegetables were all nice and fresh. The prices were surprisingly fair I would have paid a whole lot more for the same meal at other sushi bars. I would definitely come here again. read more

My husband and I regularly order from Ruyee- the guy there is a great cook and ALWAYS makes sure the General Tso's chicken is extra crispy when we request it! I ask for custom order of steamed mixed vegetables with tofu and Szechuan sauce the side, and they always comply! Never more than 15 minutes for a pickup. Ruyee is a Danville staple. The pork fried rice and hot and sour soup are both delicious, too. read more

Best sushi and Chinese food in the area. Rainbow Roll is my fav!

Thoroughly enjoyed the sushi dinner and found it to be as good as any my associate and I who are sushi fanatics have had during our travels.

Far better than John's Asian up the street but still not that great. I got the Kung pow chicken for some reason they decided to bread the chicken and Fry it and by the time I got it combined with the sauce it was like eating little pieces of spongy chicken. Beef and string beans was the best of the two dishes and I had a dragon roll nothing to get excited about. read more

There are few places that I trust enough to eat their sushi and this is one of them. Not only is the sushi trustworthy but it's also quite delicious. There other menu items are really good as well. I work at a business in town and they deliver to us at least once a week and every time you can trust that you are going to get a good quality meal at great prices, especially on lunch specials! read more
