Cross posted my review from Google: Having been here in the past with my wife, I was shocked and disgusted to hear that when my wife and her mother returned, they were treated extremely poorly. The fact that this did not occur with me there communicates very clearly one thing: the staff had an issue with their skin color. If it takes having a white person like myself for the staff to treat you nicely and not with suspicion, then that is an enormous issue. Having seen other reviews of this place as well, it paints a very clear picture that the staff are extremely intolerant. Such a shame, as the food itself was great. But I refuse to give my business to a place that so openly disrespected my wife and mother-in law. read more

Well hear me out the only good thing here is the fountain soda lollll the green tea is very watered down like a lot! The food is very bland and the noodles do not have any flavor. The waitresses barely even talk to you they kinda seem miserable tbh. The inside looks nice I guess. But for some reason on the way to the bathroom there is weird blue lights. Newly opened we would recommend it for someplace to eat in the area. It's not Ruby Foos but it's still has a great buffet full of everything you can imagine. The atmosphere is nice with quiet private booths instead of fully open seating. read more

They are not social with there costumer ...... they never have sushi they advertise ...... when you ask for something they act like they don't speak English and it over price for what food they do put out .... They lady that puts out the food should wear gloves before she picks out the bad lettuce read more

By far one of the worst buffet experiences I have ever had. A lot of the food was fresh, but most of it did not taste well at all. I would have preferred a sandwich from Sheetz than eating at the buffet. No napkins in the napkin holders. Had to use 2 liter bottles of Pepsi in order to have cola. They have a young woman (I assume either sister or mother) and a 10-12yr old little girl wrapping silverware and bussing tables. Not 100% sure if they are even employees. I was also next in line to be seated, when a gentleman and woman who were behind us went ahead to grab their own seat. Overheard the gentleman saying his wife is friends with the owner. Not a good look for the owner to let their friends line jump. Not worth the $15.99 all day Sunday price. Or even the $14.99 for lunch all other days. read more

From the time we sat down to the time we left all of the workers stared and gave dirty looks while we ate, and it was a coincidence we were the only people of color in there. The chicken was barely cooked and so was the rice. And the prices were high, 3 dollars for a regular beverage that tastes watered down in outrageous. read more

I have been at Chinese Buffets all over the east coast and honestly, this one is 5 out of 10 and that's at the high end. No salmon on the buffet is a Chinese buffet crime. Some of the offerings are tasty some are not so tasty. The space is big and very roomy which is a plus. But honestly not very impressive, and where the heck is the sushi!!! read more

I'm not sure where to begin, just going to jump in. I'm not a huge fan of buffets to begin with, but I was in a hurry and that's quick. Well it was terrible! Everything I tried was bad, many of the dishes were all so i thought maybe those were the good ones, I was wrong they brought out loo mien so I grabbed some right away. I went here for the 1st time today with my Mama and her boyfriend and all three of us were disappointed. . . A lot of their dishes were empty and also overcooked. They have a sign that says if you get an excessive amount of food and do not eat it you will have an additional charge. It's a buffet, I'm there to try new things and if I get a lot of new things and do not like them of course Im not going to finish what I put on my plate. I think that is a ridiculous thing to do. the workers were watching our every move and giving dirty looks the food was questionable and the pricing is terrible 2.38 for one drink is crazy the place was not bad but it was very quiet and we had to whisper the whole time and my friend got food poisoning. read more

This place used to be pretty good. The last 2 times I went there I was sorely disappointed. I don't know why, but it's not made the same way - it's just pretty awful. Except the soup. That's still aces. Maybe it's just the buffet food as opposed to menu orders? Either way, I'm done with this place now. read more

Great food and service. The buffet has a nice selection and the waitresses fill your drink and take the plates quickly.

My favorite all you can eat chinese buffet, salt and pepper shrimp a favorite, chinese donuts are perfect and very reasonably priced.

I have eaten here a few times. Last time was a few nights ago, we arrived by 5pm on a week night. It's self service except the waitress who brings your beverage and utensils. She did not seem all that happy with her occupation but I suppose people go there for the food not the service. There was plenty of variety on the buffet. Most of it seemed pretty fresh though you could see a few aged pieces of broccoli here and there. I sampled many items and although everything had a good flavor many dishes seem like they may be hard to distinguish from one another if you were blindfolded. The salmon was the standout for me which is sort of funny (Cajun salmon being the best item in a Chinese restaurant). All in all it's not bad for Schuylkill county and I would probably return. My biggest complaint is that everything is so greasy. I ate mainly vegetables yet my tummy felt heavy for almost 24 hours after. read more

We are regular customers of the Brothers Buffet in Pottsville, Pa. at the Fairlane Village Mall. We have overlooked the conditions of their bathrooms. We use other facilities before eating there. We overheard a fellow saying he couldn't use the mens room, he'll wait. They empty the trash & use a deodorizer. When there are different owners, they take turns,, the food is okay or the food is very good. You take a chance each week due to the fact you don't know which one will be there. We went there Saturday, January 19, 2019 for 3:45 & asked if the food was hot & fresh. The owner was on the phone & told the worker and she ushered us to a table. Then the owner told us nothing is left from lunch & they are closing at 5pm because of the weather. She asked what we wanted lunch or dinner & we answered we came for dinner. She stood there & repeated nothing is much left & I asked her how about at least some garlic shrimp & Tsos chicken. In the meantime people came in & some took out what was there & another couple with a child came to sit in & eat. They did put a little more out then. We were made to feel so uncomfortable as the 2 workers kept looking over at us & staring. They also stared at a larger family that was there till they left. We left before 5pm. If that's how you treat regular customers, that's pathetic. We felt all they care about is the money. They should have placed a sign outside their entrance saying they were closing at 5pm. We would have left & ate elsewhere. We always tip them, but not last night. Needless to say, we need more restaurants in our area. I wait to meet the other owner that her & her husband do care & relate our experience. read more

We tried this place because it had good reviews on Yelp. Very disappointed! We got there an hour before they closed and many of the dishes were empty and they didn't bother refilling them. It was also very small and there wasn't much of a selection. It was very overpriced for what we got. Never again. read more

There is not many Chinese buffets left in the skook,or stores in the fairlaine for that matter, but this one is pretty decent and has a good variety of Chinese food and sushi. I would definitely come here again. read more

Our first visit - Great service ~ Hostess and staff were helpful and very courteous and attentive. Restaurant was clean and decor ( if you want some extra luck rub the Cat located on the hostess greeting desk) simple and comfortable. Would recommend the stuffed steam dumplings , Shrimp & crab Parmesan, sweet & sour chicken and stuffed mushroom. Of course the crab leg section was empty ( 1st to go in any buffet) but when asked ; the manager was very accommodating and within 2 minutes; a fresh new succulent batch was made available. read more

Food was bland and tasted old. Wonton soup was ok. Very warm, air conditioning would have been appreciated.
