Like others have mentioned the fact that they deliver is amazing. I dont know of another chinese restaurant that delivers to my house. Food has never been disappointing, delivery has been quick and portions are quite large. The first time I ordered I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of food we were given. My mother ordered coconut chicken and it tasted like fish and was super bland. I got beef fried rice and it also tasted bland and i almost felt sick and it costed 40$! The service was fast though when we placed our order. but overall the food was horrible. Never again! read more

The people are lovely. And if you live near them you'll probably enjoy the food but if you are from out of state where spices are used in cooking this would not be the best choice. The quality of the ingredients was good but there was absolutely no spice and no flavor in any of the food. So if you're from the East Coast you probably wanna look someplace else. read more

This restuarant was ok, nothing to write home about. There were several adolescent kids running around the dining area. The lady that took our order was most likely the mother. She seemed embarrassed but took no action. Preparation time was good but the place was empty (Friday evening). Food hot. The eggroll was pretty flavorful. The house special fried rice wasn't so special. Bland and rice was overcooked The white rice was ok but try then again it is white rice. I expected main dish to come in the cartons they use but it was in a plastic combination plate. We ordered Hawaii 5 oh or something. The dish was bland with overcooked shrimp and most veggies. Fast and VERY friendly service! I was blown away by the quality of the food at this little Chinese restaurant - the vegetables were so fresh and crisp, and the meat was cooked to perfection. I got a large order of Szechuan Chicken with white rice ($9 flat) and it was absolutely delicious - better yet, it had very few carrots in it, which I am always disappointed to see as a kind of 'filler' in a lot of Chinese food. My family tried a few bites and instantly demanded that we get dinner from this place as soon as possible. I couldn't agree more. With its location right behind Starbucks, China Cafe is a very convenient place to grab coffee and a bite to eat. They also deliver (for a $1 extra charge) for orders over $10, which is pretty unique in this area for Chinese food. On top of that convenience, it's open 7 days a week, 11am to around 10:30 at night (sometimes later).... so if you're at the end of your rope for somewhere to buy food after a late shift or a night out on the town, this little restaurant will be your saving grace! As someone often who works too late to catch other restaurants open, I was thrilled to find this place. Give China Cafe a try and you won't be disappointed. Husband and I ordered from here as a last resort. We needed dinner fast and didn't want pizza, but had sworn off the other Chinese places in town after multiple dissapointments. I'm happy to say China Cafe didn;t dissapoint! The food was good. The veggies were all fresh and crispy and best of all, they tasted like veggies. The food wasn't covered in that ubiquitous brown sauce that seems to be so common at other places. I got the chicken with garlic sauce (usually my measuring stick for a place) and was pleased. The chicken itself was good, properly textured (not that weird slimy thing that sometimes happens) and tasted properly of chicken. The sauce was good, not too thick. Husband got pork mei fun and was very pleased. Again it was fresh and not covered in thick brown sauce. Almost forgot - they have a great website. Sounds like a weird thing to review, but most Chinese places have a bare bones site if anything at all, with an out of date menu. Wasn't overly impressed this time. Delivery was quick, prices are fair. I had Generals Tsos dinner combo. The portion was decent, the chicken was well cooked but there was barely any sauce on it. The pork fried rice was hard like it had sat out for a while and the pork egg roll was very greasy. My wife had shrimp lo mein and said it was good, not great. We also ordered a side of chicken fried rice and spring rolls. The rice was again, hard and old and the spring rolls were cold and greasy. Normally we refrigerate our leftovers and eat them at a near by meal, not this time. I have ordered from here before and everything was good, otherwise I would have given it 1 star rating. I will give another chance sometime, but if we get the same as today, that will be my last order. read more

I have China Cafe of Basin Street on my favorites Toolbar. I love ordering from there because you get what you want. They have a large menu however I am picky and the have a spot where you can change the ingredients in your order. They have always done a perfect job and Fast Delivery. I loooove the Mei Fun and I like it spicy so I just type in to add extra curry. They will call you right away to confirm your special order to make sure you get what you want. Also if you are not sure what you want just tell them what type of food you are in the mood for and they will let you know what would be perfect for your cravings. Totally recommended. This is the best Chinese food I've had in Williamsport. The workers are incredibly nice, most times I've picked up the food and it was ready quickly. I order online, which is very easy and good for ordering ahead while you are busy. One time I accidentally ordered the wrong thing online and I called and they were very attentive and accommodated my mistake. I've ordered delivery once before and it was delivered very fast. I special request ingredients in my Garlic Chicken, and it is accurate every time. The portions are large and very reasonably priced. The garlic chicken is amazing, comes with plenty sauce. A problem I frequently run into is the chicken being undercooked or rubbery- not this chicken! I've also had chicken lo mein, which is the best I've had in the area as well. I'm not one to sample or try different dishes with my Chinese, but I would love to try more on their menu. I'm a huge fan of pho and was ecstatic to see it on the menu!
