Representing 2021 for letter F is F is Freshido. I was visiting my parents for my mom's birthday weekend in October 2021. We took a day trip from Lancaster to Hershey, which isn't that far to look around. We had the family dog with us, who sadly passed away not long after in March 2022. My parents used my mom's First Watch birthday deal, and I settled on getting Freshido Poke eating in the car and watching dog. This Poke was the best Poke I've ever had! Pickup was easy and order was accurately done. However, having had poke in many places, from East Coast to Hawaii, I've had many versions of poke bowls and this was average. Met up with a friend I haven't seen in a while and decided to go for some poke bowls on a week day for lunch. It wasn't crowded at all, parking was easy, and everything seemed really clean. The employee was super kind-- I sadly don't remember her name or else I would give a shoutout. She was super accommodating with my dietary restrictions, answered my questions well, and was super kind in general. Prices are a bit high, but I felt like even with the "small" portion, I had a ton of food and felt super filled! Probably enough to split into two meals, but I was there on an empty stomach so I ate it all. It tasted great. I was really happy that you could choose more than one base (I believe you can choose more than one protein as well), as I am trying to eat more veggies but was still craving a little bit of rice, so I was thankfully able to get a bit of both. We always order take out from here after a grocery trip or whenever we're feeling sushi/poke in the area. Order via their app which is easy and convenient to use. Bowls are usually ready within 15-30 minutes depending on the time of day. Location wise its nestled near First Watch, a nail salon and just 2 doors down from Jersey Mikes. Parking behind the store is your best for take out (15 min max spots) but its 50/50 if you can get a spot from all the take out/delivery services. Best to park in the garage behind it if you're planning to eat in. Shop is small and clean but does have a decent number of tables for dine in. Staff are friendly and my order is always ready by the time quoted. Portions are more than enough for me but it gets a little pricey if you want extra proteins or add ons like avocado or crab salad. More than once I had an ingredient forgotten I paid extra for but didn't realize it till I got home. That's the downside of app ordering. Just pop the lid off your order before you leave and double check and it shouldn't be an issue. read more

I came here last night. I came from out of town (staying at the Days Inn), and I needed to get food for my disabled sister. It was cozy and clean inside, and the staff was very patient with me when taking my order. When I got back to the hotel I realized I had left my key cards at the restaurant. But at the front desk they told me that Freshido had already called to tell them they had my keys, and the hotel had already prepared new key cards for me. This place was wonderful. The building itself was beautiful, the girl that helped us was very nice and the food was so fresh and flavorful. You have to put the soy sauce over the top, it makes it even more wonderful. We can't wait to go back. The bowl itself was a bulgogi beef over lettuce with white sauce with all the toppings you can choose for just $10. They also offer a military discount which was extremely nice. My boyfriend and I are huge hockey fans and drive up to Hershey periodically to see Bears games since they're the minor league affiliate of the Washington Capitals. On the way out of town, we stopped by Freshido since vegan options in the Hershey/Harrisburg area, not to mention between Hershey and DC, are pretty limited. It's also a good way to let game traffic die down a bit. I thought I could get a decent meal here since they do have tofu as an option. And the sauces looked good. I like bowl places since I can make my meal the way I want. Unfortunately, all but one of the sauces have honey, which doesn't work for me. And it drives me crazy when bowl places serve uncooked tofu. Roast it, fry it, bake it, but don't just cut it up and serve. The food was okay. I do like the grain mix and the toppings, but I was put off by the lack of flavor options and the cold tofu. It's also a bit expensive for what you get. Our tiny bowls were $12 each. I get larger bowls at better prices in DC! If you eat plant-based, I'd try to find other options and eat here as a last resort. read more

So I had this meal pre-covid but I hadn't gotten around to almost any of my reviews because of how chaotic this year was. (Preaching to the choir right everyone?) I'd like to start off as usual praising them for being incredible with Laura's severe nut allergy (my girlfriend/all nuts) They kept things separate in the back so that she would be safe to get any crunchy topping she liked. Really great cross contamination control. The staff were pleasant and you order this poke just like you would at any subway, chipotle, or pancheros. Just pick your protein, carb and toppings then add sauces and you are good to go. Laura and I both got salmon, white rice, cabbage, carrots, avocado, green onion, and shredded seaweed. Laura added spicy crab and a spicy Mayo sauce while I went the wasabi route. We did a blend though if I remember correctly. There were tons of options though. I am sure anyone that enjoys poke and/or sushi would love this place. The poke itself was fresh and beyond filling. We could not have asked for a better meal to enjoy after a long day at the outlets. read more

What a welcomed addition to Hershey! The Hershey Towne Square is trendy and hip, reminiscent of parts of Rockville MD which I frequent. I can almost see the beginning of a "restaurant row" emerging on this part of the W. Chocolate Ave. On the same block as Starbucks, Primanti Bros, and Jersey Mike's Subs is Freshido. Those fresh, healthy, and amazing looking poke bowls from Freshido add to the much needed culinary varieties in this touristy town dominated by American cuisine serving burgers and pub foods. Opened in October, this is Freshido's second location. Freshido in Harrisburg is one of my favorite lunch spots during the week. I've had 2 visits at this new location and I am happy to report that they've maintained the same standards and quality as the original. I have yet to see a poke bowl joint that offers as many choices of mix-ins and toppings. I am also pleasantly surprised that they have not increased the prices because of the touristy location - fingers crossed! I ordered build-your-own Poke Bowl as always for $9.95. See photo. Other than the multi-grain rice and guacamole, you can pretty much choose any combination of all ingredients without incurring extra charge. Oh and don't forget to add your choices of Crunch, especially those Lotus Chips! With so many ingredients, you can expect each bite to taste different, keeping your palate intrigued and interested. Plenty of free parking in the new garage behind the block. I can't wait for Freshido 3 in Mechanicsburg to open. It's close to where I live. PS. Check-in on Yelp, show it to the cashier, and they will give you a complimentary Thai Tea! Not sure how long they'll have the promo up though. We are big fans of Hawaii Poke in Camp Hill, but wanted to try Freshido while passing through Hershey. Ordered online because of COVID and was ready shortly after arrival. Staff was friendly during busy lunch time. BOTH of our bowls were missing our toppings which, aside from the protein, is our favorite part. My husband's was missing masago, seaweed salad, and kimchi and mine was missing raisins, kimchi, and crab salad. Super bummed and disappointing experience. EDIT: we received a phone call from an employee offering to resolve the mistake. Very impressed with customer service and attentive/prompt addressing of an issue. read more

Cliffnotes: - They offer takeout during social distancing - Only option for refreshing and healthy food on chocolate ave. - Flavor and quality of the food is 5 stars - Quality of milk tea/boba drinks is 2 stars - Value for money / quantity is 2 stars Freshido used to be 5 stars in all categories, but in the past 6 months they've become much more strict and stingy about portions. They've made the following changes: - Much smaller portions of protein (fish, meat, tofu, etc) - No ability to ask for "extra" anything without paying for it, even if the product isn't premium (you pay for extra for everything, including avocado, crab salad, etc) - Limiting how many different items you can add to a bowl from unlimited to 3 items. This was a huge blow for me since I actually liked their mixins more than their protein. I love the kimchi, egg, seaweed salad, picked radish, bean sprouts, and scallions. Today I had to pick 3 of them and was very disappointed. Overall, the food is good. But a "large" bowl runs a litte under $15, much more money than the portions are worth. Freshido may be in my future for hangouts with friends but it's off my list as a favorite in Hershey. read more

I want to love this place so hard. It's location is prime. The decor is modern with a touch of industrial with its black walls and chrome/wooden chairs, tables, & lights. The employees were very nice. We saw that they had poke bowls of sorts and they looked delicious! We came in for the bubble teas. I'm sorry to say they were not what we expected. In fact, they were awful. I ordered a medium coconut with tapioca balls & hubby had a large taro with tapioca balls. 1) they were not blended 2) they did not give us a choice 3) it was simply very very lightly flavored water with tapioca balls I DO NOT suggest their bubble teas. We stopped by Freshido in Hershey based on the recommendations of fellow Yelpers and the need for a healthy dining alternative during the week. We had a very positive experience and delicious poke bowls on our visit. The set-up is very similar to a familiar chain burrito place, where the employee creates your meal as you order. As we entered and started looking at the large format menu on the wall, we were welcomed by a young lady behind the counter and asked if this was our first time. Since it was, she took several minutes explaining each step of the process and the various options! I appreciated this direct interaction which helped alleviate the unfamiliarity of the process. The process starts with selecting your base: quinoa, multigrain rice, zucchini noodles, or salad. Then you choose your protein, which has a nice selection from bulgogi beef/chicken to salmon/tuna. Next you choose unlimited mixings (ex. tomato, cilantro, peppers, edamame, fruit, etc), followed by toppings (kimchi, seaweed salad, avocado, crab salad, etc). All the choices are fresh and healthier instead of the typical cheese/fat items. Your selections are then tossed with your choice of dressings, ending with the CRUNCH toppings! We loved the crunch choices, especially the lotus chips. Other selections include wonton chips, various seeds and nuts. The end result is a delicious bowl of healthy goodness. Decent poke place for a reasonable price! I chose the regular size, which allows you to choose 2 meats. The cost by the end was less than 11 bucks. The quality of the ingredients (particularly fish) were slightly above average. I enjoyed the freshido classic (sauce) and all of the toppings! Poke in central PA! I've tried the harrisburg place as well and they are pretty much the same. It's like chipotle style where you can choose what toppings to put on your poke = imitation crab, corns, fried onions, tuna/salmon, eggs, kimchi, etc etc. However, I would recommend eating whatever you get right away because I suspect the quality isn't amazing. It is a bit overpriced but that's what you get here! Staff is always pleasant and there is limited seating for you to eat in as well. Plenty of parking available in the back read more
