This was my first and last experience with this location. My Supergreen Caesar was NOT green. As a matter of fact, I don't believe Romane lettuce was used at all. It taste like iceberg lettuce and more than half of it was yellow. Then maybe half a dozen spinach leaves tossed in. This salad was terrible. I have never received a salad like this from the Greenwood or Carmel location's, my usual pick up spots. The dressing cup was half full and not enough for the entire salad. I couldn't even taste it. All I could taste was the funky yellow lettuce, parmesan and the obviously once frozen tomatoes. Horrid. To top it off, the wait time for being their only customer was obsurd. I have been to this location well over 25 times. Most of the time, I go through the drive-thru. Allow 15 minutes on average during peak times. As their drive-through can get quite busy and everything is made to order. They make your smoothie from very fresh ingredients! I really like the fact that this is a healthy lunch option. The island detox is under 200 cal and is my smoothie of choice. My daughter always gets the jetty punch. This time she asked for the edible straw. We were quite surprised that it was white when we pulled it out of the paper packing. She said it tasted like strawberry as she took drinks through the straw. What she did not like was the fact that as the straw got moist it wanted to collapse. She ended up taking the straw out and eating it and drinking the smoothie with a regular straw. It was OK for a dollar but not really good for drinking your smoothie. Their three cheese chicken quesadillas are tasty. As a minority, I walk(ed) into the establishment half the time without being acknowledged even while standing at register. People pacing back & forth acting busy. Yet, when a lady with lighter skin came in she was promptly greeted and they immediately stopped what they were doing to help her. No this is no isolated incident either, this has happened several times at this location in Avon. Not to mention, the quality pales in comparison to Smoothie King. I was looking for local places to try and work for a couple of hours. Found this place on Yelp and had to give it a shot, it sounded too yummy to refuse! If youre coming from downtown, google maps tells you to turn right on a non existent road, so keep that in mind and turn in on the intersection beforehand! When I walked in, the place looked very clean and I loved the decor. It's a very open space and it was modern. The workers were also super busy, but friendly! I ordered the detox smoothie- kale, spinach, mango, and banana. It was amazing!! And super healthy, only being 180 calories. I unfortunately didn't get to stay and work, since their wifi was not working, I tried for a solid 15 minutes (funny, I ended up having to go to Starbucks and work from there). Both were very good. The island quesadillas -grilled chicken, roasted pineapple salsa, cilantro, pineapple queso blanco, a smoked cheese blend and roasted salsa verde. It's going to be my staple. I'm not one to like fruit salsas either. But, the fresh salsa verde that goes with them has so much flavor and the combination together is delicious. They have a drive-thru as well as curbside. Dine in is now open. They have an app so you can scan to earn points. They have a pretty big menu, breakfast - the southwest wrap looks good - eggs, grilled chicken, pepper jack, tomatoes, spinach and chipotle mayo. They have a peanut butter banana crunch flatbread - pb, banana, granola and honey. They have bowls like the Caribbean jerk chicken bowl - grilled chicken, rice, black beans, cheddar, roasted pineapple salsa, romaine and spicy jerk sauce. They have sandwiches - the Cuban sandwich - pulled pork, ham, mayo, yellow mustard, pickles & Swiss pressed like traditional Cuban sandwiches are. They have wraps Thai chicken wrap grilled chicken, carrots, sesame seeds, wontons, cilantro, scallions, romaine, and thai peanut sauce. There's so many more items to choose from on the menu. Finally a TSC near home! This place is special to me because when my husband was stationed in other states we would always visit. I was super excited when I found out they were coming to Avon. I must say they have not disappointed me yet! All of the staff are super friendly and offer recommendations when you're not sure. The inside is adorable! Lots of seating available and the board and batten walls inside actually inspired me for my own house! Some smoothie places are a hit or miss for food, but we actually genuinely enjoy their food too. They have a few breakfast items & a wide variety of bowls, flatbreads, wraps, sandwiches, & quesadillas for lunch. For people with children or maybe you don't want a smoothie as big there is a kids menu that they will allow you to order from as well with food items too. I have been eyeing the Tropical Cafe all summer and never made it. However, after being featured in the Avon magazine, and learning there is a drive-thru (a must in these Covid times), I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. The service was friendly helpful and accommodating. Ordered a chicken caprese sandwich with chips, a 24 oz Hurricane smoothie (passion fruit, pineapple, sweet dark cherries and orange juice) and a 12 oz Jetty Jr. (strawberry and banana) smoothie for my daughter. Everything tasted great and at a great price I recommend! We will definitely be going back for more deliciousness. Warning for parents with kids who chew on things, TSC only has foam cups. read more

I love love and love this place. I like this place's overall atmosphere. First off their classic smoothies are only $5 and they give you the smoothie in such a big tall cup! I wish there were smaller options but it's okay, the price is reasonable and they are so all tasty so I rarely have a problem finishing it. I had heard the tropical smoothie cafe was having a grand opening and had to try it out. They were offering special prices on the drinks that day for the grand opening. The facilities look amazing I was very impressed with the interior. There are a decent number of tables to sit and enjoy your drinks. I will say that they also have a lot of food items on the menu too so don't think of this place as just a drink place. But I had already eaten so I was in for jus a light refreshing smoothie. I discovered that the main line of drinks are only made in a 20 oz size as the smallest and not being very hungry went for the kids sized strawberry banana. They were extremely busy so there was a bit of a wait but not too long. The service was very friendly and staff were helpful handing our menus as the mounted one was hard to see at a distance. My smoothie was great and even as a kids size just right. There are various mix ins of course if you want protein and other enhancements. Everyone definitely needs to try this place out. I grew up in Michigan and always loved their smoothies and food. I Moved to the area recently and was sad when I found out there weren't any near by. After a long and hot day at work I saw it as I was driving home and was so excited. I stopped by and met one of the co-owners who was super sweet and very personable as I waited for my smoothie. I got my smoothie very quickly and when I tried it, it was exactly how I remembered them. 100% recommend this if you are looking for something healthier or even just a yummy and cold treat. read more

Tonight was my first trip to the TSC location in Avon, IN. I went through drive-thru, and I ordered one Blueberry Bliss. What I got for $5 was only a glorified snow-cone in a big cup. Perhaps I have been spoiled by the wonderful health food stores in the Indianapolis area? When the menu said the Blueberry Bliss contained blueberry, strawberry and banana, I did not expect something that was 98% ice and 2% fruit juice and flecks of blueberry skin. We will never go back again! We've been huge fans of this place & we go several times a week & have shared about them with friends! But that all stopped today. We were in the drive up & they were having some speaker issues & repeating themselves to us so we spoke up louder and tried to get the order to work. It did and then we went to the window to pick up and to our utter surprise the lady started YELLING AT US and asking us not to be rude, she just went off on us. We were jaw dropped and in disbelief & explained that their speaker is messed up, she wasn't professional is any way! Do not know how she even has a job there acting so nasty.
