I proceeded to have a seat at the bar as the patron to my left commented that I was grossly overdressed for this establishment. He wasn't wrong, but a girl needed some food! I ordered the smoked wings and a side of fries. I chose water to drink because I wasn't in the mood for anything else. BEST WINGS ANS FRIES!!! TWO THUMBS UP! The wings and fries are perfection. No sauce necessary. I tried the teriyaki but it wasn't to my liking and the wings don't require anything extra. They are perfection straight outta the kitchen as served on butcher paper. The fries are probably the best fries I have ever eaten. Seriously. I'm a fry connoisseur - I know my way around a fried potato! Best part: the price! They are priced appropriately. Portions size is great. Hearty wings, not lil wing dings. I only did 6 wings, but next time I'll do the full 12 and take some home. Better than Ale Emporium - argue with ya mamma, not me! I said what I said. Go Bears....Blackhawks...Bulls...Sky... it's a Chicago themed bar, so I'm sure you can find fans enjoying the games here. I'll be back! See you there!

I came here for the first time to watch a Purdue game with boiler buds. We got a high top that seats 8 and it's perfect for watching sports. The food is large, hearty, and excellent bar food. Be prepared to leave full and with leftovers.

Stopped in this past Saturday. Was told about this place by a friend. Being from the North East and…read moreknowing what authentic is, I want to say the food was ok. I got a chicken parm and a meatball parm a few cookies, an espresso and an Italian hot chocolate.. My question, like someone else had wrote below about the bakery goods. The place is way to small to make in house. Most of the cake slices and mini treats are obviously pre packaged. So I wonder where they get the goods from and how long they sit before they renew. The service was good. Counter help was polite and pleasant. I grew up in the 70s and 80s in the North East and remember the smells of the food, bread and baked goods being made IN HOUSE. Stacco House had none of this. If I was blindfolded walking in I would never know I was in an Italian Bakery. It had more of a smell of a standard coffee house. Stacco passed, but in a way that was sort of disappointing. If you are going to call yourself authentic cuisine maybe try a little harder then to just have some Dean Martin playing in the background. It was almost Olive garden-ish. Sorry if I am offending anyone but when you have had real, you know what real is. Also, the nail in the coffin..... The business card. The Italian flag, from the flag pole out is green white red. The card has it on an angel as red white green. If the flag is draped vertical, green is on the top.

I was craving a sub, but in my rush to order before a work meeting, I mistakenly ordered a half sandwich. When I say sandwich, I mean meat and cheese between two slices of multi-grain bread...AND cut in half! I was so upset with myself. Not only did it not satisfy my craving, but the bread was slightly soggy. It was quite literally falling apart - maybe from the oil and vinegar if that was still included. So, I wound up taking the meat, cheese and banana peppers (it was a Grilled Italian) off of the bread and eating it with my fingers. Sans bread. The Sweet Tea and Fresh Cut Fries saved me that day. I love Penn Station subs, and it wasn't their fault that I ordered the incorrect sandwich, but it did leave me wondering why they even sell those types of sandwiches to begin with. I would like them removed from the menu! LBVS

I was surprised that this location was super busy for Sunday lunch. I ordered 2 small 6" subs - steak Philly cheesesteak and chicken Philly cheesesteak each on wheat with double veggies and no condiments and double toasted. I asked for the chicken sub to go but server did not get it right. I am giving this restaurant 5 stars partly because of their efforts to fundraise for American Cancer Society but with each starting bid of framed celebrity for $195. Worth it?

Trying to eat somewhat healthy is in part due to New Year's resolutions and in part due to my wife's health. We are going to give it a try! Hope we have some success! I was impressed with the butcher shop and fish market. They had a good selection of beef, pork, chicken, and fish. They also had a nice deli area. In the middle of the store, they had limited supply of groceries needed to cook the protein items they sell. There is also a prepackaged fresh and frozen area with ready to take and eat meals. It had a small grocery store type atmosphere. The individuals behind the counter were very helpful and knowledgeable. They cut our fish fillet for us. He also provided a good recipe and means to cook the fish at home. That was very much appreciated.... Particularly since we are new to this whole healthy eating concept. Wish us luck! The prices here appear to be a little more expensive than your average grocery store. However, we are hoping that the fish is better quality and fresher in nature. We will definitely be returning.
