The service is a little slow. Hopefully this is due to only one employee when I went. Note of interest: there are two businesses at this location . The other is the Hummus Republic. I will be back to try it. The thing I liked is the fresh ground peanut butter! They also have fresh ground almond butter. Being my first time in, I did the build your own-medium size. I did açai base with fresh ground peanut butter added banana strawberry Goji berries and honey. I was a little shocked at the price of $16.05 for a medium. so I would recommend purchasing one of their listed blends. I will be doing my research to know if their bases have added sugar, etc. however they had a large selection of bases. Today I tried açai as my base. The store is very clean. There are tables to sit inside and enjoy or you can do carry out.

Honestly I was feeling a little yucky from some food that I have previously ate so I went with a sunrise bowl and some almond butter to help with the yucky feeling. The food was pretty good overall and the service wasn't bad. A little expensive for what I could make at home with more quantity but you are paying for the convenience I guess.

LOVE this place. So excited it opened up in Avon. Super quick and nice service. Space inside to eat or can just take to go. I got the Sunrise Bowl and the Coffee Cruise smoothie. I loved them both and I can't wait to go back. The bowls are seriously so pretty!

The bowl included potatoes, eggs, and of course more bacon. Oh, and toast. Great breakfast at a great place! The service was also very good. We were not rushed or neglected. The right amount of attention.

I had their Chicken Florentine Crepes and they were so good! Their mornay sauce coupled with the tomatoes was reminiscent of a Kentucky Hot Brown. They were delicious! This time with my husband and told him it was pretty good. We were seated very quick, it was around 11 am and it's a Thursday. The server took our order but forgot to bring my water. I got the "Mad Platter" which comes with three eggs, three meats, fried potato's (or grits), toast, and a pancake or French toast. I asked for well done eggs, which means the top part is cooked, which I explained to the server. When I got my eggs back they were completely runny. I just ate them as was because I don't mind runny eggs, I just wasn't particularly in the mood for them. It came with a ton of sausage. The toast came out cold but everything else was okay. I asked again for my water. She didn't bring it out when she came to give us something but got it afterwards. We were a party of 5 so we had some dishes and cups piling up. The server NEVER picked up anything from the table. Leaving it cluttered. Then, before asking if we were done or if we had anything we needed she brought us the check. And then just told us we didn't have to rush. You should always make sure your patrons are done before giving them the check, it's just common courtesy. She never returned to our table. My husband complained the syrup was runny. And the biscuits and the gravy was dry. Overall mid food, not sure if they got a new cook but it wasn't anything to write home about. The service was blah and definitely needs improvement. The first server I had when I first visited was really nice and attentive. I would say it's a place to visit at least once but we will not be returning. I hope you have a better experience!

Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. I love finding a coffee shop that has their own house made syrups. I tried the monthly special, Wildflower latte with an added espresso shot and sadly it just tasted like flavored milk. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Overall, it's a fun spot with options for everyone and a great addition to the Plainfield area.
