This place is BUSY! I could've ordered on the app but I wanted to sit and enjoy my food, big mistake!I ordered the Supergreen Chicken Caesar Wrap but I got a half @$$ burrito after waiting about fifteen minutes and having to ask for it. It fell apart after every bite. As I said, it was busy, packed, smoke inside and it smelled of cleaning materials. I appreciate the cleanliness but dang! I opted to eat in my car. It was free smoothie day on the app so that was a plus and I got that within five minutes, Chia Banana Boost. I will say, they were working diligently but just a lot of orders! read more

Loved the chocolate strawberry smoothie! It was back for a limited time and I definitely recommend everyone try it when it comes back. Honestly this is my spot. This review is solely for the smoothies because the food is TRASH - don't bother trying it. Stick to the smoothies. My mixture of choice is the Island Green Smoothie (banana, spinach, mango, pineapple). I tell them half the banana and add coconut. Add my little island vibe flavor to it, you know. Anyway - one 24 oz island smoothie with the additions will cost about 7 dollars .... geez (same thing I was thinking). Sometimes the price gets to me and I make it at home. They can be slow, so be sure to order on the app. It's a great place to stop in and get a healthy option if you're feeling a little snacky. Again, don't try the food. It'll take the stars down from 5 to 3. read more

I like this place. They have a variety of smoothies and I love the food the offer. October 8th, I went in between 9:00am - 9:30am and got a pair and save. I tried one of their new island flats and the new Sangria smoothie. The smooth was great! I was a little nervous about the spiced apple being in it, but it worked! My food was good, however, the packaging. And this is not to the workers, but really to the company. Because y'all serving this pizza like entree, a small pizza like box should have came with it. Having it placed in the wrap is just messy. But the food was good. Presentation is key though. read more

Tropical smoothie has gone down. There use to be a time where no matter when I went or what I ordered I knew it was going to be GREAT!! Now I am always skeptical about ordering with them. I ordered a Bahama Mama smoothie and a three cheese chicken quesadilla. The cups are no longer foam they are paper. So your smoothie is more like a drink NOT a thick smoothie. They give it to you runny and it only last for a few. Before it becomes pure liquid. The quesadilla is more cheese than anything. Out of the 4 parts only 1/2 had chicken. Really wish they get better soon! read more

Tastes great, but skimped on my meal. Okay hike running errands I was happy to be reminded of the relatively healthier options at Tropical Smoothie. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Salad with spinach instead of Rene and no rice. I got a bowl full of spinach, 5 or six pieces of shrimp, a springy of cheese and green onions and they forgot my tomatoes. The good news is that it taste pretty good and I'll try it again and the employees were friendly. I'm certain that if I'd noticed before I left the store, they would have corrected it and been nice about it. read more

This was my first time at this establishment, and I really enjoyed it!! It was pretty clean, and the employees were all pretty friendly. My sister is in town, so we stopped at this place on a whim, really. We both ordered the Caribbean Jerk Chicken wraps (except I ordered mine with the vegan chicken). The wraps were both pretty good size, definitely filled us up, and they were pretty dang tasty, too! It was a bit spicy, but we both liked the kick, and the peach salsa gave it a nice sweet balance. We also both ordered smoothies! I got the (ummm.... Mango Magic I believe - and I added the spinach/kale pack), and my sister ordered the Island Green smoothie. We both really enjoyed our smoothies and meals, and we would definitely go back! (Well at least I would, since she doesn't live in Georgia, lol)! read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe, sometimes referred to as Tropical Smoothie, or TSC, is a restaurant franchise in the United States. Tropical Smoothie Cafe operates more than 800 locations nationwide so you know that they get it right. Their store decor resembles a beach house theme with bright white walls, an open kitchen concept, vibrant colors, and tropical artwork. Tropical Smoothie Cafe's menu includes smoothies, sandwiches, flat-breads, wraps, bowls, and breakfast items. They offer superfood, classic, indulgent, and supercharged smoothies along with supplements that may be added to each smoothie. The best-selling smoothie has continued to be the Island Green. My favorite is the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Acai Berry Boost Smoothie. This location is clean and the staff is friendly. As with all locations during the COVID-19 restrictions they closed the dining room and transitioned to carryout, curbside pickup and delivery. Unfortunately this location was a bit slow today. My wife ordered the Strawberry limeade smoothie and a chicken quesadilla. The smoothie was ready fast but it took like 15 minutes to get the quesadilla. I watched at least 10 people walk in and out with smoothies while she was waiting. This is not typical for the Tropical smoothie cafe. We will be back so I'm sure I'll update my review. So stop on by and get one of the fantastic smoothies they serve at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. read more

So I just stumbled upon this place and OMG it is going to be one of my new frequent spots. I am a big smoothie fan and one thing I really love is the variety of smoothies they offer. They have your typical fruit blends and then your health-conscious blends too. They don't push all the protein and accelerator boosters on you (those always make me feel like I should be a super health nut body builder type --can't I just get a smoothie, man?!). But my biggest surprise: the food! I never would have thought that the smoothie place would make such yummy sandwiches and wraps. I am now officially hooked on the Baja Chicken Wrap and my husband said the California Club pita was yummy too. Tip: download the app and order ahead! This place gets busy around meal times and it's a small space with everyone waiting. Just be sure to double check your order because they don't have a receipt attached to your order to verify that what you got is in the bag! read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - It's worth the wait! - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

As the sign says at the door, this place is Not a fast food restaurant. If you don't have 15-30 mins to wait for food, just don't even try here because you will get irritated. The employees will have their own attitude as well if it gets busy here. Other than all that, it's decent and comparably healthy meal option. read more

Tropical Smoothie Cafe - The gospel - Juice Bars & Smoothies Near Me - Augusta, Georgia

Let me begin by stating that I am not a smoothie person. I eat fruit raw or in ice cream, that's the extent of it. But, the waves of Georgia summer came upon me on this fateful Sunday afternoon and a smoothie was all that sounded like reprieve. I am one of the most ardent of supporters when it comes to local, but Sunday's after 3 pm will find you without any such option. Thankfully the guidance of the Yelp community (especially the Elites) guided me here. And as is always the case, they were correct. I will mention that if you are on Robert C. Daniel and Target is on your right side, this location may be a little tricky to get into. Your left turn does not have a light and traffic in this area can be intense. Also, you may not see the sign immediately, as it is at the far end of the row of stores. But don't let this impede your going. I will go ahead and mention that they have a full menu, but again my mission was a smoothie. I walked in to an almost full house and a few people in line, but the line moved quickly. I used this time to scan the menu. There are basic smoothies (fruit, ice), more complex smoothies, and the super smoothies (my name for them) that have additional items such as protein or antioxidants. I went middle of the road and ordered a Beach Bum (it was hot enough that day). It has bananas, strawberries, and chocolate (white or milk). I anticipated a wait, due the number of people there but it was only about 5 minutes before my order was called. And probably the same amount of time for me to consume it. I will be keeping this place on my smoothie radar in the future and plan to come back to give the full menu a chance. If you do the same, know that you can add a smoothie to a meal for only $3.50. That's a good deal. read more

This place needs a thorough cleaning. We ordered 3 smoothies and as we were waiting started to notice all the nitty grittys. Saw what we think was food/smoothie splatters all over the walls . Powdered residue all along the dividers between the customers and the cooking area. Dust eeeeveeerywhere. Napkins and receipts on the floor. The trash can was over flowing. My mom and her friend raves about this place. They are also regulars so when I came home (from Cincinnati) They me to wanted check it out. I was shocked to look at the menu. So many smoothies (they use real fruit/vegetables. Not your typical smoothie king. This is the real deal) and food choices on the Menu. I was very indecisive. I ended up getting the Chipotle Chicken Club which has grilled chicken, bacon romaine, tomatoes, pepper jack and chipotle mayo on toasted flatbread. My friend and my mom got their usual- Baja Chicken which is grilled chicken, green peppers, red onions, romaine, low fat mozzarella and light southwest ranch dressing on a toasted flatbread. With their sandwiches, my mom got sunrise sunset smoothie- strawberries, pineapple, mango, and orange juice. My friend got Acai Berry Boost which has acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries and strawberries. They let me try a sip and I was truly impressed. They only have one size which I believe is 24 oz. They were both good. Our flatbreads was amazing! I love the size, taste and price of the flatbread! The dressing was just right and not ooozing out of the sandwich. The grilled chicken was delicious and tender. My tummy was very happy! FYI, you can also order online and make sure to download the tropical rewards app! Many perks and discounts offered! Great customer service, plenty of seating, and yummy food/smoothies! I am definitely coming back! Love this place so much! read more

I tried the Peanut Paradise and added strawberries to it today and it was delicious. I was also a little hungry so I tried their Pineapple Jalapeño store brand kettle chips and they were surprisingly good. Mmmm...delicious! The smoothies here are chock full of good stuff. I had the green islander while my husband had the paradise blend and we both had to quit 30% of the way down because they were just that filling. We also ordered a chicken chipotle wrap which was just spicy enough to arouse my taste buds and bursting with chicken and greens. There were three females behind the counter...nothing so i spoke and they did give back a Hi...soft voice, i guess its still early. Placed my order and it was completed in seconds. Food: Banana crunch pita wrap was decent, the pita has quite a bit of flour resdiue on it. The banannas were just right but would have liked more Peanutbutter and granola to amp up the sandwich. My smoothie tasted like it has kale in it so i was happy about that, dont taste any artificial flavors or sugar so double thumbs up for that. #effortlesseater Over read more

I want to love this place but I just can't...I've been here twice. The first time my son and I ordered the same smoothie however they tasted different...one was extremely flavorful but the other was bland. The second time around was during their grand opening...I knew that it was going to be busy but never would I have thought that it would take 45+ minutes to make three smoothies. Apparently they mixed up the tickets some how because several people that came in after me received their smoothies before me. I spoke to one of the owners but was told that it was coming up next...I was then asked multiple times what I had ordered. And when I finally got my them the server mixed up the smoothies...so my son and I had to switch. I never received an apology or anything either. I doubt that I'll visit again. In my opinion the smoothies are subpar and not consistent. read more

I ordered online. My food and smoothie were online and tasted good. My problem is that 2 girls were in the kitchen preparing food while not properly wearing hairnets/ bonnets. They were wearing it with their hair out like they are trying to accessorize it and look cute. That's not the point of a hairnet/bonnet. The purpose it to cover and restrain ALL loose hairs to keep them out of customers food. I know this because I too am a cook. I am a ServSafe manager. This needs to be corrected. Every time my wife says she wants to go to Tropical Smoothie, my first thought is "I wonder what they'll screw up this time. Now generally that statement is truer of the Evans location than this one, but very once in a while, the bar gets set a little lower. So we go in for an online pickup, and they don't have chips. It's not that they said they didn't have chips, we just found out when we didn't have any in our bag. So rather than preparing themselves for a shortage by giving us a heads up, even as late as when we picked it up, they just hoped we wouldn't notice? So I'm told the other options are cookies and "fruit". Given the ineffectual manner in which fruit was mentioned, I'm picturing a moldy banana or a rotten apple. Instead my options are climates to a normally delicious kale slaw, neither of which was a full serving, or looked like someone had gotten peckish while preparing it. So when I ask for my money back, I'm told they need to see my wife's email receipt. Because apparently I look like the kind of person who would steal a family order of food and then try to weasel $5 cash out of the deal. 15 years of food service, I never once treated a customer so dismissively, passed off such a pathetic product or was so unwilling to make the situation any better. Don't waste your time unless you want to spend most of it pleasing for the right food or if you'd like to be treated with a little dignity. Why does Tropical Smoothie respond with an auto message calling for me to reach out to them with more details? I think I was pretty descriptive. How can you make it better? Either train your staff better or fire the dead weight, that's what I would have done when I was a food service manager. read more

Overall I'm giving this place a 4 but if I could choose a 3.5, that would be more accurate. Here's the lowdown: Pros: 1.) They have great hours and are open on Sunday. It's so hard to get brunch reservations if you don't plan ahead but this cafe is a good alternative. 2.) The staff is very friendly and work quite efficiently as a team. 3.) The smoothies were good and they have plenty of healthy food choices. I had their kale coleslaw with apples and it was very tasty! The portion sizes were a little small but that could be because I'm used to seeing colossal portions elsewhere. Opportunities for Improvement: 1.) As soon as you walk in there's a handwritten sign telling you they aren't fast food and it takes longer to make orders. So I get it, it's frustrating that people want fresh, healthy food and smoothies quickly but that's just the society we live in. Take the sign down because it's a terrible first impression and educate customers on why your food is different than a fast food chain. 2.) Our party had 3 adults and a toddler and we had to push two tables together for a tight fit. I got the impression people just pop in, get their food and leave but I would've appreciated a more comfortable arrangement. 3.) This is so random but they were playing Christian music in the cafe. I'm not offended by it but that doesn't mean other people wouldn't be. read more
