I ordered an açaí bowl. The service was quick . Place was clean . The Acai bowl was hard as a brick! It was frozen. I had to wait over a hour to let it thaw out to eat it and the. It wasn't great once thawed out! They should make sure the Acai is ready to eat when people have only a 30 minute lunch. read more

The young woman behind the counter seemed a little out of it, like she was running on autopilot, but she still managed to take my order correctly and keep things moving, so no complaints there. I stopped in specifically to try their new Apple Pie Paradise Smoothie, which blends Biscoff cookies, apples, cinnamon, yogurt, and banana -- and let me tell you, it hit the spot. Creamy, perfectly spiced, and surprisingly filling at 610 calories, it was everything you'd hope for in a fall-inspired drink. At $8.09, it felt worth every penny. I haven't been here in forever. The parking lot is kinda of small but it's in its own area. I came in there are only two employees working: one for the food one for the smoothie. It was very clean and the two young men were very polite and friendly. I ordered a Bahama mama. It wasn't crowded so I got my drink pretty fast. If it was crowded I could see how they could get overwhelmed with two ppl. I would say it wasn't bad but it didn't taste like anything special. I didn't taste the white chocolate or anything. I LOVE tropical smoothie. Usually can't go wrong w the detox island green but for whatever reason, the last few times I've come to this location, the smoothie has been terrible. Straight ice, watery and tasteless, the fact that it's happened 3 times in a row makes me wonder if they're being told to use less fruit than they used to. You can't even drink it out of the straw, you just pull up ice and it makes a hole in the smoothie similar to a snow cone. Next time I won't leave without trying it first. read more

The smoothies are always good here but anytime I get food here, they always mess up the order. Last time, they forgot all the sides. Today when I ordered, they gave me a smooshed and black banana. The chicken Caesar salad was a bowl sloppily thrown together, half full, and without chicken! The smoothies are great but I don't think it's worth giving this company my money anymore. I love coming to this location because, the staff is always so friendly and they worked fast to get you in-and-out of there. I decided to go here today because I had a free 24 oz smoothie that I wanted to redeem. Even though it was crowded, they got everyone what they needed In a speedy manner. At 6: 45 pm, My daughter went into this store to buy two smoothies that normally cost close to $20. She had me on FaceTime so I could give my order . No customers were in the store. The young lady that was there saw my daughter, didn't acknowledge her, walked past her then came back and stood next to the register and didn't say a word, just looking . My daughter said hello to her and she barely responded. I told my daughter to leave. I no longer wanted anything from that business. Zero stars for this location . read more

I actually really enjoy the Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand. When I saw that a location is now in my hood I was elated. However, after my first experience I can't promise that I will be returning. The cafe is located in what was once called Pinkberry. It's a very small space, both inside and out. I can see parking being an issue during their peak hours. Do not expect to dine in. I think they had two tables available inside. The reason for the reduction in stars: the service was below average. The staff that took my order seemed sad. She did not greet me and did not even ask me what I wanted. I had to ask her if it was ok to place my order with her, just to be certain that it was her responsibility to take orders. I opted for the Caribbean jerk wrap. All wraps come with a side. Typically the side options include chips, kale apple salad, an Apple or banana. The staff told me that they did not have any chips in stock. I was shocked by this statement. They typically have at least 4 different flavored chips. I opted for the kale salad, Which is pretty tasty! In addition to the service being poor. It took a good solid 30 minutes for this order to be ready. I honestly don't even know why. They had like 5 people working but it looked like everyone was working in slow motion with no sense of urgency. The restaurant was also not clean. There was trash scattered on the floor in various places. I don't understand this issue given the number of staff that were on the clock. I don't know if the store did not have an active manager during my visit, but it appeared that the staff just did not know what to do to keep the place running efficiently. Last, but not least of my complaints, the kale salad came in a small container that they put Saran Wrap on. This should have come with a lid. They also shorted me on the kale salad. It was like a kids size. It was two small bites!!! I was so disappointed. To be clear, I have frequented other locations of the cafe and had great experiences. I've been looking for a decent smoothie place that offers natural green and fruit smoothies. I can't speak to the fruit smoothies at the tropical smoothie Café but in regards to their detox Green Island smoothie I am definitely a fan! The smoothie only has natural ingredients and it's 180 cal if you're counting and what's great about it is there aren't any additional sugars or fillers. In fact if you do a simple Google search you'll find the ingredients to the smoothie and they are all whole foods. It's nice having a smoothie spot that caters to some green smoothies that are clean and unprocessed because I have been in search of one ever since I left Toronto. I've struggled to find a decent place because they're all so pricey for the most part. This smoothie comes in at a reasonable rate around $7. read more

They need more staff. There were only 2 employees as it was near closing. One making the food and one making smoothies who was overwhelmed. There were like 10 of us in that small place and it took a while to order. Ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and açaí smoothie and kids chicken quesadilla & strawberry banana smoothie. The food was pretty good. I do like that they cut the wrap as it was suppose to be as I recently discovered some locations do not. My wrap was heated, he didn't ask if I wanted it that way. I love all tropical smoothies! However, I do think this one in particular should have took a little more time to train your staff. My ordering process was flawless and quick. Then the waiting process began and a lot of other things began to happen. The guest in front of me received his smoothie and started to drink out of it. He stated that it wasn't blended well and he needed it blended more and handed back to the guy to blend it. The guy that was making the smoothies opened his drink and poured it back into the blender. Immediately I threw up in my mouth because that was just plain nasty. My food came quickly. I ordered a mango magic with white chocolate. The guest that was behind me order her drink after me and received her drink before me. Now I understand how that can happen but my smoothie was just sitting in the blender. Now for the next 15 minutes I spent it attempting to get someone attention to poor the damn smoothie in a cup to hand it to me. Four more guest walked in before I got my smoothie. The guy that asked for his smoothie to be blended a little more came back in because his peanut butter cup was just bad after all. While this is happening there was one young lady trying to do it all with a staff of three including her. I got my smoothie but at that point it was more like a poorly blended juice. I brought it back in because I had enough and got a refund. She asked if I wanted it remade but after waiting for at least 26 minutes the answers no. All I'm saying is if you're going to have smoothie in your name I should probably walk out with a smoothie in hand. You should probably put the most capable person on smoothies and not the one guy that can't even remember to put the fresher ingredients in the back and the old ones in the front for usage. I was so excited for this tropical smoothie to open because it's my favorite fast food option and it's super close to my home but it was just let down. The salad was great! read more

I ordered a smoothie like I have many times before from other places and it arrives without and seal over opening on top like all others do and this made me upset I don't want to drink it because tho you have to trust door dash you necessarily trust the ppl bringing it and all the restaurants have to do is put protective seals on tops to ensure that it hasn't been tampered with from from store to you read more

Sadly I'm updating to reduce the amount of stars for his place. The quality has significantly gone down the last 3 weeks. The smoothies are not drinkable. They are extremely watery and inconsistent in flavor each time.
