Today I decided to doordash Tropical Smoothie Cafe to work. It is not far from my office, but it was convenient to have the option on a busy work day. I normally get the acai bowl. It's made of an acai base, with fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, banana, coconut, granola, chia seeds, and honey. I normally add peanut butter drizzle to mine. My coworker tends to enjoy a gluten-free option, so he ordered the sunshine smoothie (mango, pineapple, orange juice, and banana). I love having a fruit-based option around here since it seems so difficult to find something relatively quick and not fried for lunch. The atmosphere has been chill every time I've gone in, but I rarely sit down to eat in the storefront. If I'm not in the middle of a workday, I'll order between errands and pick it up to minimize the wait time. I love the options here, and how you can mix up the ingredients and substitute sugars for sugar-free, or add protein for a bigger impact. First of all, I have been there 3 times. The first time was great, the wait was long, but the food was outstanding. Second visit, they had some things not available but so was still able to get something good. Yesterday they were out of just about everything on the menu! Great Variety, including suppliments. They even make "healthy" taste great. I have had several smoothies, and sandwich wraps and have enjoyed them all. I love their interior tropical style....makes me feel like I am at a beach shop. Employees have been very knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely would recommend. I spilled my smoothie all over my pants immediately after sitting down and when i went to the bathroom to wipe it off myself the workers did nothing but laugh at my girlfriend as she cleaned it up. Food was also worse than normal, and the bathroom was out of paper towels. read more
