The museum focuses on Kauai citizens' contributions to wars and conflicts with a lot of personal artifacts, historical photos, models, and several captured war pieces. The hall is rectangular, much longer than wider. The facility is accessible. The entire place showed its age but was neat and clean. It looked as though the space within could be divided. There was a kitchen area. The floors were bare tile. The major issue we encountered was air conditioning. We were there for a well-attended event on a hot mid-September day. The A/C vents, however, seemed to be located only at one end of the building, and it wasn't where we were. That end of the building was very comfortable. The section next to it was okay if you weren't moving too much. The section we were in, farthest away from the vents, was pretty miserable. They tried to keep the doors closed and the A/C in, but even if they had been successful, I'm not sure it would have helped. Most people spent a lot of time fanning themselves. Also the acoustics were not good for an event like this, with lots of people talking. It was difficult to hear and be heard, given all the noise. Then they piped music over standing speakers and we had to yell to be heard. It would probably be fine if there was only one source of sound at a time, like one person speaking, everyone listening to the same music, etc. Load-in and out was easy due to multiple doors in the sides and end. There was a theater at the end we were near, but it was closed, so I can't tell you what it was like inside although outside of it was very hot, since there were no A/C vents. It looked as though the theater had been added at a later time.

The Convention Hall is a multi-purpose facility that's great for hosting parties (birthdays,…read moreweddings, etc.). Every time I go there it's always for that specific reason. Driving in from Hardy street, you have a massive uncovered parking. There's a chain link fence that separates the lot from the Hall, so you have to find the niche in which it opens toward the entrance. Walking into the ballrooms, you have are immediately struck by the size of the place. If you've seen the space from end-to-end and not separated by dividers, you'll know what I mean by it! This place is mostly for space rental - there's no catering or staff that services the hall and must be provided by the party. You do have the general necessities to host a party, and that includes a sink, bar, fridge, cupboards, a stage and bathrooms. I was fortunate enough to host a First Birthday Party at the Convention to 'test' out the acoustics of the room. Depending on the amount of sound generated from whatever speaker system you have, it can only travel so far. Also right next door to the Ballrooms, you have a Theater that's host to other grand productions (concerts, plays, pageants, etc.). I've only taken a peek in there once but it's a pretty decent size! The owners / property manager anticipated every possible need. The kitchen (including the prep-kitchen) were well supplied with every single small appliance, as well as all utensils and dinnerware for very large groups. All appliances are very high-end. Since we had 3 very small children in our group, arrangements were made to have cribs, high chairs, etc. delivered before we arrived. Our group enjoyed the immaculately maintained tennis court, pool, and Jacuzzi. The grounds are massive, with areas to play croquet and soccer. The lanai wraps completely around the house with beautiful views from every spot. The "chefs" in our group enjoyed picking freshly grown spices, vegetables, and fruits from the garden and orchard. Best of all - the LOCATION! Views so beautiful, it seems unreal. Short drive to Princeville for marketing, shopping, zip-lining, kayaking, and scuba diving. The grounds-keeper and property manager were available whenever needed. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I would!

They told me they had a party last week and everything was fine. They include the kitchen, but you are not allowed to use the ice box or the stoves you only can use the countertop and the spot to wash dishes. they also have a little backyard playground. look like they had some kind of project going on back there they had wood piles of dirt, some sand and we have to make sure our guest wasn't touching any of that. They did not block anything off. other than that bathroom was really nice and clean and they had a stage.

I don't even know where to start…read more.. We booked three rooms and paid an additional $3k to host what was supposed to be a "private dinner" for 7 people in their restaurant. Immediately, everyone who worked here is so unwelcoming and unaccomadating. From initial check in, the valet/bellman was irritated by how many bags we had, then we were told we had to go back into the check in line and get a pass for his car after we had just checked in. We went to the concierge and he said he couldn't help us, we had to wait in line. So we did, for 20 minutes - once we got to the front, she told us we didn't need a pass to park. Then we got to the "private" dinner which we paid $3k for...showed up and it was just the table with an ocean view with some curtains against the wall. We asked them to close said curtains, they told us that would disrupt the other guests....when we paid for private room....we had to throw a fit and pull up email exchanges to get them to close the curtains. Then during some high-spirited toasts we got a bit loud, SECONDS LATER, our waiter came in and told us to keep it down. WE PAID FOR A PRIVATE ROOM. FOR THIS REASON. We haven't even left the table yet and I am just fuming writing this. We're honestly very easy people. This was a horrific experience.

The pudding was just a tiny bit greasy but the flavor was great and not overly sweet--I still ate the whole cup by myself in one quick sitting, yum! I would have loved more bananas in the pudding, but I did like how they were cut up into small pieces so the focus stayed on the pudding. Service was friendly and they had a whole tray of banana pudding ready to go. Free parking available all around the shopping plaza, conveniently located close to an ABC store and across from the famous Musubi Truck.

I got a banana matcha and a bagel sandwich while my friend got a banana bread and black coffee with coconut syrup. My portion was $21 for the matcha and the sandwich. I thought the matcha was decent! The banana flavor is a syrup and it reminds me of the banana candies. The matcha wasn't too milky. The bagel sandwich lacked flavor for me. I might just be too used to salt but I did find that the egg portion wasn't super flavorful. I did appreciate that the bagel was quite soft. Overall, it was alright! There is plenty of free parking in the area. The lines can get long even at 7 am on the week day.
