I'm always trying new places and ordering their chilaquiles and 90% I'm disappointed they are not as tasty and I envisioned them in my head. However, the green spicy chilaquiles at maskaras were delicious! The sauce is what will make chilaquiles good and Maskaras green salsa didn't disappoint. The spot is super cute inside with all the Lucha Libre masks, merch, action figures, all sorts of things. super super cute I like the homey rustic vibe that you get eating inside. I will say it does feel a bit on the expensive side. I know that food and life everything are expensive right now, it just seemed like it was a little more expensive than maybe it should have been. my friends and I ordered some Birria tacos, flautas, chips and queso and a couple margaritas. The Birria tacos were great. I didn't love the consume, but I don't know if what I'm more used to is more of the Tex-Mex vibe- which they make sure to let you know that they are not Tex-Mex. They are authentic Mexican. I didnt try the flautas but my friends did enjoy. Ultimately I would probably be drawn back more for the ambience than the actual food itself, but everybody was really nice and I wouldn't mind trying some other items again. It just felt pricey. We paid $80 for lunch. I was grateful that I had a $50 gift certificate that covered a good chunk.
