Trolley Depot is one of the more affordable stores in Salem to shop for souvenirs. A lot of the shops in Salem are wildly overpriced, especially for T-shirts. They have a nice selection of T-shirts, sorted by size, which made things super easy to find my size. They also have witch hats, which everyone seems to want and have while in Salem, and again, they are affordably priced, whereas others charge $30 or more. This is a really nice shop and definitely a place where you'll find lots of options. read more

Trolley Depot is located on Essex St with many other shops. Trolley Depot sells books, clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and so much more. It's definitely worth stopping in. The prices are reasonable and there is a great selection. I purchased a Witch City Cartoon by Francis Sweeney and a water for $1.00. I wasn't familiar with Witch City Cartoon prior to this, but I love all the products and started to follow the artist on Instagram. Check-out was quick and seamless. read more

Easily the best souvenir shop in Salem! No doubt about it. After walking around Salem and trying to find the perfect gifts to take back home, I stumbled onto Trolley Depot and was awed at their selection. T-sheets, coffee mugs, snow gloves... they have it all! And best of all, everything is of good quality and super economical. I don't think I spent more than $40ish for a pair of t-shirts, snow globes, and a fridge magnet. read more

We stopped in here as they had gifts for anyone visiting the area. What I enjoyed about the place was that they had a lot of shirts for me to choose from. I'm a 3XL and they had many different options to choose from. Something that I'm not used to and found a orange shirt and boom for halloween. Great place to visit if you're looking for a souvenir to bring home from Salem! They have an assortment of tshirts and hoodies which are reasonably priced! Found a great Salem tshirt for $12.99 and am pleased with the quality of it. They also have a lot of Knick knacks, ornaments, magnets, dolls and so much more! My only issue was it that when it gets crowded, as you would expect in October, it gets kinda difficult to navigate around the store which includes trying to get out of the store as well! But if you're able to get there at a less than busy moment it's definitely a spot to check out! read more

One of the bigger souvenir shops in Salem with Salem, Sanderson sister, halloween, xmas, and knick knacks ranging in pricing and sizes. They have a wide range of cute shirts and sweaters in plus sizes too. I got a couple postcards, art print, sweater and sticker from here. Definetly a must see if you rode the trolley around Salem you get $1.00 off per ticket so that's neat. read more

I've been coming to this souvenir store every Fall for many years. This was my 1st vacation since 2019 due to the pandemic. Let me preface this review with 1) I am an essential worker and I've been wearing a mask every day since the pandemic hit 2) I was wearing a mask at all times during my visit to Salem. The city was very crowded this year. 3) I know what it is like to constantly have to ask people to put their masks on correctly. I was in line to enter the store (Trolley Depot). I'm wearing my mask covering my nose down to my chin, regulation. The lady at the door launches into her "you must wear a mask at all times while in the store..." which I appreciate. She finishes and just stares at me. I'm honestly taken a back when she tells me my mask needs to cover my nose. I show her that it is. She says no, it needs to fully cover your nose. I'm thinking maybe she has bad eyesight or something so I lean a few inches forward to show her. She starts telling me I won't be allowed in if I don't pull my mask up, they've had the cops ..On and on. I'm honestly confused since the mask is at the top of my cheeks. Then I'm like maybe she doesn't realize that is where masks sit on my face cause I do have a more prominent nose, which I proceed to show her. She is so short and abrupt with me. She wants the mask between my eye balls sitting under my lower lashes. (This sounds like an exaggeration but it's not. Under my lashes.) She lets me in. In the background I can hear her shit talking me to the other customers in line. (Very unprofessional) I'm practically in tears. I don't know what triggered this interaction. I couldn't even enjoy looking around the shop. I left, Sneaking out the side before she could say another word to me. I will never support this business again. That one moment stood out as the worst moment of my entire vacation. A vacation I have not had in 2 years as an essential worker! All other shops were following the same protocol but were friendly and welcoming. There are other people who can do the same job but with customer service in mind. For reference: this was Oct 11th '21, the woman was tall, long dark hair with bags, darker complexion, Red Sox jersey with matching red shoes. Why am I so specific? Cause there are other people who need and want work! And the relationship you build with customers keeps small businesses alive. Today you lost a long time customer. read more

An OK selection of various gifties, Some of the souvenirs were rather nifty. But most of it was generic witch stuff, I spent a couple minutes here; that was enough. Went here looking for a unique souvenir. Nothing really caught my eye. A lot of stuff with witches and black cats. T-shirt, mugs, shot glasses, posters. Some cool socks and gag gifts. I stopped by with my boyfriend to grab a few souvenirs and found some really great things. They have a pretty good selection of souvenirs. However, the employees and their attitudes were disappointing. They made us feel like we were inconveniencing them and were so rude. I can understand them being tired since it is Halloween and they're very busy but you would think they'd be grateful for all the business that people are giving them. It wasn't a good experience but we did still buy a few gifts from there. Rudest employee ever. Why would you place someone at your cashier who obviously hates it? We followed Google instructions to go to the Trolley Depot to purchase trolley tour tickets. We grabbed some merchandise and got in line to also purchase tickets. When we got up to the very sullen cashier we saw a smallish sign that said you had to go to another street to buy the tix. Since we have never been to Salem before I asked the cashier, 'Sorry to bother you, can you please tell me which way to turn to get go to the ticket booth?'. The cashier gives me a rude look and silently points to the sign. I reply that I was asking which way to turn when leaving and that I knew how to read. Her response was 'Good to know you can read'. This young lady very obviously hated her job, did not interact with customers, and had an abrasive attitude. We left the merchandise on the counter, we will not purchase from a retailer in a tourist town that hates to help answer simple, kindly asked questions. Very, very disappointed. read more

Cute little shop in a main area in Salem, however, they need to work on their business etiquette. Especially the older lady with glasses, she is obnoxious. The first time I visited Salem, I entered the store in search of Halloween ornaments (I was told that they had a wall of some interesting ornaments). They did not disappoint, the ornaments they had were exactly the ones that I was looking for. After looking through everything, I picked the ornaments I wanted and headed to the checkout line. Behind the register was the older lady. She was being discourteous to customers. I guess something must've crawled up her butt that day because she wasn't having it. Oh well, too bad for her, because I was not having it either. When my turn came up, she scanned the ornaments and said to me with an attitude that the ornaments I chose were not part of the sale. I, already upset with what was going on, I told her that she was incorrect. That the sign posted above the ornaments said otherwise. She, not liking the way I responded, said something between her teeth and rang it for that price. Freaking incredible! Why have the price posted above if you are going to say something different when ringing up the items! I will not be shopping there ever again! This lady and her employees need to understand that customers are the foundation of success for any business, if you don't treat them them right, you'll lose it all! read more

This is a decent gift shop that also has all things touristy. Since I was playing tourist, I was able to pick up all of my souvenirs here. Since you're in Salem, there is a heavy concentration of witch-themed items, but there are plenty of other fun things to look at. read more

Aww, this store is a sleeper on the main drag in Salem but it's so cute! It's a good balance for all of the other witchy stores on the strip. Yes, this place sells touristy t shirts, but it also sells really funny merchandise. It's a really well done souvenir shop. read more

I have loved this store since my first visit in 1991. All these years later, they still have a great selection of product. They are nice people and I have even ordered online and the service and shipping is fast and friendly. I just this week ordered their 2017 Official Halloween tshirt......I got 5 of them ! I love this store.......years ago, they had a beautiful dog, COOPER, who worked as a greeter !!!!!!! He was the best, most friendly, lovable dog! I miss him. This little store has everything! All tourist just take a quick walk through

The sales clerk lady was so rude in this store. An older lady with glasses, very rude, condescending and a overly pompous woman. She put her glasses down and looked annoyed like a school teacher. Its like they are bothered to help and get annoyed if you ask for any assistance. I have been there twice. I thought first time ok bad day, I get it we all have them. Second time the same thing the following year. The first time I purchased 100.00 worth of Halloween ornaments and they seamed annoyed to have to individually wrap and box them. The second time it happened again. I talked to people about this they recommended other ornament shops in Salem off of Pickering Wharf which where way more helpful and happy to assist a tourist. I do not recommend this store. Unless you are accustomed to spending good money and being treated poorly. Ill never spend another dollar in this store and tell everyone I know stay away from this place. read more
