A fairly standard Irish pub. I thought the drinks were a bit expensive, but the bartenders were nice and the food is decent.

Trionas is a third street staple and one of my favorite bars here in New York City. The staff here is incredibly friendly and attentive, there's a ton of areas to sit from the bar to tables to a great outdoor space with big TVs. Whether you want to catch up with friends, have a fun night out, or just watch the latest football game Trionas is a great go to spot. In terms of food, my friends, love to order food, but as a vegan, I can only eat french fries here. Would love to see you some vegan wings from a brand like daring foods, or at least a fully vegan impossible burger! read more

Random Friday night in the village. Heard about this location via friends. And it did not disappoint. Quick friendly service, Christmas music was playing and great atmosphere. Drinks where great and reasonably priced. Pool table was out of order that night. But the bartender said will be back next week. Christmas decor was cosy and inviting. Leaving a review as I witnessed possibly the rudest group of girls who harassed the bartender for him asking them to leave as they where sitting at the bar for 20 minutes waiting for their Uber not ordering anything. Was appalled by their derogatory comments for him being Irish and not letting them sit and a busy bar and not ordering anything. Always two sides to every story hence me leaving a review as they mentioned on the way out "he's getting a review". Imagine going to an establishment and taking up seats and getting angry when asked to leave because you are not ordering drinks. Smh read more

I attended the last few Bulls games at Triona's this year and had a great time. The bar has a nice atmosphere and I've immensely enjoyed their beer selection and boneless wings on my visits. The only gripe that I have about Triona's is that after turning to game audio for the first playoff game, they wouldn't turn it on for the Bulls next playoff game - despite most of the inside bar watching the game. I'm not sure if it was just a fluke but I'd expect a Chicago sports bar to play game audio (instead of loud 80s music) when the Bulls are in the playoffs. read more

Irish Bartender was rude for no reason as soon as we walked in. We didn't even sit at the bar but tables on the inside and he walked over to us and ID'd all of us just to act like one of our ids looked fake (wasn't) when I asked for cheese on my fries he tried saying no, so I pointed to the menu that literally said $1 to add cheese to fries. Tried not to let my friend use his card because there was no chip. Which my friend said to just swipe which he just turned and did without saying anything. Tried to convince another friend to start a tab when he said to just charge and close it multiple times. And then tried to get upset with me and say "come on guys" because I didn't tip him on my card purchase. Average. And that' okay. My friends often joke about this place because one in the group loves it, while I tend to hate it. It usually packed to the high heavens. The draft beer taste a bit off, I'm assuming the lines aren't cleaned that frequently. It's cheap, but your mixed drinks are light pours. It's more of a last resort bar. read more

Solid locals bar with plenty of nooks and places to sit, reasonable prices, and friendly staff (Triona herself was behind the sticks the night we visited). We came in a large group at about 5pm on a Friday for the Syracuse game and pitched ourselves towards the back, playing some games of beer pong and sitting at the two adjacent tables. Yes, Triona's doesn't have a kitchen, but that works in their favor, as they allow you to bring in your own grub. There are some pretty stellar options nearby - we went with Meatball Shop for some dinner/mid-pong snacking. Later on in the night another group (who apparently "reserved" the back space) came in and laid claim to our area. Triona was very apologetic as she didn't give us any heads up, and she gave us a free pitcher for the trouble...Definitely a nice gesture! read more

4.5 stars... Definitely one of my favorite bars. I've never been here during prime weekend times and I'm not into obnoxious college bars, their location next to NYU makes me hesitant to coming on a Saturday night but I've enjoyed this place every time I've come here regardless. I love this divey bar because of their awesome prices, friendly vibe, and games (two dart board, pool table, an arcade game (it was either bowling or golf), and occasionally a beer pong table). The games are in a separate side room which is perfect to set yourself off from the main bar area. Their regular prices are cheap enough but if you consider their happy hour specials (till 8pm) and rotating daily specials, there's few places you can drink for less. I believe during happy hour they had a couple $3 options and the rest of the drafts were $4. Lastly, they don't serve food here but you're in a neighborhood with a ton of options and they don't mind you bringing in outside food. read more

This place would be great, however, my group and I had the most traumatic experience. The owner looked like he was drunk and grabbed my friend from behind in an aggressive manner. When one of my friends jumped in and said that was unnecessary to put his hands on her he decided to kick us out. The security guard looked like this had happened before and said he had had listen to the owner because he owned the place. Grabbing someone from behind is unacceptable by all means. He was super aggressive, looked unwell, and is the reason we will never return and will NOT recommend this bar for any woman. read more

Great little sports bar on Sullivan that was blissfully uncrowded for Euro game. Friendly bar staff and a neighborhood feel help cover for what is an oddly uninspired beer selection (this is a quality Irish pub in the village--not Kenny's Castaways. (OK, they have 312 and a couple of seasonals but absolutely no variety.) No food is served but the bartender will be happy to provide you with a stack of menus from local joints. There's also a pool table in the inner room and a nook or two. Very cozy. read more

Surprised to find out that was is only ONE review for this place! If you are looking for a happy hour spot in the W. Village, I highly recommend this bar! The bartender is super cool, and drinks are inexpensive. I had a shot of Jamesson and a Heinkein for 7 dollars! 2 for 1 specials during the week end at 7pm. Came here to catch the Monday night football, Eagles v. Redskins, game. Bumped into some friends who were also there to catch the game. What a fortunate, fun coincidence! Some basics for you to know: 1) $10 credit card minimum, so I bought 3 beers on tap for $13.00 (not including tip). 2) 3-4 televisions, along the walls/bar. The largest TV is at the back of the bar. 3) Billiards table available in the 2nd room; perfect during halftime. 4) Surprisingly clean bathrooms. 5) No bar food, so you can order in or grab something from the neighborhood. This place is excellent. Short version: good booze prices, BYO food, DA BEARS! Longer version: $10 pitchers on Sundays may be the best thing that's ever happened to me. Or have it delivered. And MAN, this is a great spot to have this deal. You've got your Ben's Pizza, your Mamoun's, your Papaya dog all within a couple blocks. Triona's is the "law school bar" and pretty much everyone comes here every night. To make matters worse for me, it is also the go-to spot for Chicago sports fans (we asked Triona about this and she admitted that she only made Triona's a "Chicago bar" because that designation drew the biggest crowds) so I end up here a lot.
