It has many fine features to keep the residents busy and happy. It has lots of living room spaces for residents family visits and even a large room to entertain in with a kitchen, large dining table, tv and sofa enabling one to host a private party or dinner. Staff seemed very friendly and prices are in line and in some cases less expensive than skilled nursing facilities. I interviewed the residents in the dining area and they seemed content w the accommodations. I worked there for 7 years and just quit. The way the Managers from both buildings treat you, is…read moreuncalled for. They hire just anyone. The managers don't even care about the residents, they just care about bringing them in for money. Second shift is always late, or no call no show. So first has to stay all the time. They let third shift sleep in rooms at night instead of making them take care of the people. The food is nasty and they pay to have a great meal and cant even get it. Kitchen score is 95.0. Staff keeps breaking washers and dryers left and right. To where the clothes are back up in their closets and stinking the rooms up. They pay to have their clothes washed. The management that is over Clemmons Village 1 has went down hill since they fired Cynthia (and they fired her for having a stroke and she been there over 10 years) The management in both building are very rude and don't know how to talk to people and that includes HR. A lot of people has left that place because of management. People on call, call's out just to get back at the person on call cause they don't like each other. The way they let some of those workers talk and treat those residents is very bad. You have to have a special heart to work at a place like that. Management there now don't care. If your bosses don't care about the people or their home, what makes up think employees are going to care. Management also likes to vape inside the building. If you try to speak up and say what's wrong they start doing stuff to you to retaliate against you. My voice needs to be heard. I love all those people I took care of with all my heart and they deserve way better than way they are getting treated. They pay a lot of money to live there. Pay for snacks, and good meals, and pay to have their clothes done right and on time. They put furniture in the front to make it look good but they don't care if the residents have enough seats to sit down. The seats are hard and very low. I even had to help a family member get up on day, because it was to low. Just imagine how the residents feel. They need to put the attention on the residents. I miss Ms. Cynthia being there. She really cared about the people and employees. I would think twice about putting a loved one here, even if that's all you can afford. Especially with who is in charge now at Clemmons Village 1. I know a lot of stuff and I know how they are I was there for 7 years. Ask yourself this? After 7 years of me being there, why would I just walk away from the people I loved and love taking care of? They started retaliation against me. Tired to stand up for the residents and myself and their rights. They started doing things to me and talking to me like I was a dog. I was there for 7 years making $14. That's what they are starting off new people at. I asked for a raise and was treated like a dog also. I don't understand why that type of job is paying what fast food places start off at or any other place.There is a lot more that I can say but I'll end it here.

If you're researching for your loved one who will end up on the nursing unit, no matter what for, please take my warnings... I wouldn't send a dog to this place. My mom was only going to be there for PT, rehab after a broken hip. In less than a week, they let her fall which sent us right back to the hospital. On top of everything, most every nurse there was RUDE, the cna's are only there for a paycheck. Since there's very few single rooms they'll drop you in a tiny room with 2 ppl with nothing but a curtain between them and a shared bathroom. They have 2 wall mounted TVs side by side, so if one TV is on the other one is pointless bc of the volume on one or the other is way too loud. I overheard conversations that should have not been discussed in patient rooms. I guess they thought the curtain was sound proof. I had to sit in the facility provided wheelchair bc I wanted to be with my mom, daily. There was no other provided place for families to sit and visit. I guess that's their way too keep too many family members of seeing what type of garbage place they were in. It was a pure nightmare that I'll never forgive bc I chose this place based on their 5 star reviews. Major mistake. I should have read MORE, again all the 5 stars are from ppl NOT in the nursing side. I complained multiple times to the DON as well as the ADON. Neither cares. Especially the main DON, Michelle. I was told point blank the call bell wasn't working the morning of my mom's fall. Later that day, my mom accidentally pushed it, 10 MINUTES later the worst attitude young man comes in as sarcastic as he could "do you need something?" I proceeded to tell him she hit it by accident but that was no excuse of why it took so long. I told him I'd be speaking with the DON before I left for the evening. Before I could get to the front where her office is, he was already in there trying to save face. That's when they admitted it wasn't alerting them at the nurses station. That they had "just put in a call to maintenance" thinking it would pacify me. She left that night in an ambulance, never to return. We are now at Hospice. She went in fine, she comes out worse than she was, now she'll never bounce back. That place should be shut down. I have since reported them to the state. Although, that normally goes no where. However, in the laws and rules governed by the state, a non working call bell is against the law in ANY nursing facility. Again, please take my warning. If they are discharging your loved one, even just for PT, do NOT send them there. I will admit the few days she got actual PT, was amazing. I have a video of her walking with her walker, on her road to walking/recovery again. She fell the very next morning. However, the PT team there are NOT employed by that dump, they are contractors. None of this was to blame on PT/rehab. It was all the sorry a** nursing staff, INCLUDING the DON, Michelle and ADON, Amanda. (Amanda was slightly better than Michelle) I reiterate, I wouldn't send a dog there, they deserve better than that place. A homeless person deserves better. That included all the elderly patients they stick in a wheelchair and prop them up in front of the TV for hours on end.

If your loved one is not mobile, quiet and does not communicate they are basically forgotten. In the 11 months she was there we had probably 3 workers that genuinely cared for the residents. The turn over was constant and they never had enough workers for each shift. If your loved one is mobile and can somewhat communicate than they would probably be fine but we were not very happy with our experience.

I work as a sitter for a client in Strickland Place. The CNA's when I'm working here are rude and…read moreunfriendly. On multiple occasions I have heard them talking about the residents loudly out in the halls. I have even heard them talking about the resident that I sit with. One of the CNAs said that the resident under my care, "is very rude and when I see her call light on when I'm working I purposely don't go in there because I don't want to deal with her" what if I wasn't in the room with her and there was an emergency? Another one of the CNAs took a very ugly tone with my client and said, "I don't know I'm not in her brain" when the resident asked when the nurse would be coming in with her pills. I found this very disrespectful and I personally would never speak to a resident or any person that way. Another thing is that they take up to 30 minutes to even come into the room and see what the call button was pushed for. The nurses, food service workers, and other employees are very nice and the facility is always clean. The only real problem i've seen is with the CNA's. f

I felt inclined to add my thoughts on the care my loved one received at the Bermuda Village…read morerehabilitation facility. The other reviews listed are very dated, from 2016 and 2018. My experience was much more positive and recent, November-December of 2023. Upon arrival I found the facility to be clean and up to date. My initial impression was very good and my loved one felt at home when we arrived. He was extremely ill and needed more than occasional supervision, and that's exactly what he received. We felt blessed that he not only received top notch care, medically and physically, but that the staff truly cared. They quickly developed a deeper connection that helped keep him positive and motivated. I highly recommend Bermuda Village rehabilitation facility.
