My husband and I have tried many meal delivery companies and can say that prior experiences with pre-prepared food resulted in food arriving deep frozen, which often affected the flavor. With trifecta that is not the case. The food arrives at the appropriate temperature (they use dry ice packs and great insulation in their shipment boxes) and is delivered every Friday. We have never had issues with shipments. The awesome part is you can skip anytime you need to which we usually do while on vacation. If you ever need any help, the customer service is amazing. The food is vacuum sealed and not frozen which I appreciate and honestly as far as healthy food goes tastes the best compared to others I have tried. I have been eating trifecta food for over a year, probably longer and I have tried the vegan meals, the keto meals and the paleo meals depending on my nutritional needs at any given time. I have never had a bad experience. It is especially convenient since we have a crazy work schedule to just grab food from the fridge when we need to go and know that we will have a nutritious meal available when needed. Hello. Been using Trifecta for the last two months now, in conjunction with the RP diet, to trim down a few pounds (not too many to go!) and increase muscle mass for triathlon training and for aerial arts. I have to say that the gem of Trifecta is their customer service. I was skeptical about ZenDesk, having heard a few horror stories about it from friends, but I have to say, their CS is honestly the best that I have EVER received. They are charismatic, quick to respond to your emails or IMs, and extremely accommodating of changes to your orders. Seriously, I have had a lot of fun chatting with them. (Shout-out to Jodi C as well for being the best rep out there!) In terms of the food quality, am very pleased with most everything that I have tried. There have been one or two items that have been slightly disappointing, but I absolutely still ate them. The stuff is freeze-dried. You're not going to get the food porn that you expect of fresh stuff. It's all pretty good for being packaged and sent across the U.S., and then finally, MICROWAVED, if you're an anxious, Type-A, overscheduled mess like myself. I can't speak to weekly orders, but bi-weekly bulk orders have been absolutely perfect for me. I have about 1.5 person's worth of stuff to eat over two weeks. My grocery budget has stabilized, because I'm ordering about the same amount of food every time. And my eating out budget has drastically decreased for the month, which makes me do a happy dance, and the time--oh, the time that I have saved not having to go to the grocery store twice a week. I pop in for toothpaste and TP now. It's like, 15 minutes tops. Ahh-mazing. In terms of the website, it is very user-friendly, and pretty durn easy to use. There are a few capabilities that I would love to see in there (such as adding items to your subscription--you can just delete them now), but then you wouldn't get the chance to talk to CS. Great idea, bad execution. The idea of buying whole food in bulk is great. However, the meat is as dry as anything I've ever tasted. In fact, I had better food in Afghanistan. The steak taste rotten and the chicken/Turkey required a bottle of water to digest. I tried the elk and I thought I'd vomit. The dog wouldn't eat it either. Cancellation is a pain in the ass. Went to a dinner party of sorts by Trifecta. Amazing food!! Great entertainment and very cool people! Would recommend them to try!

They have missed my order about 6 times in the past 6 months. One time they missed an order of burgers and told me they were going to overnight them only they overnighted asparagus instead of burgers. All they do when they mess up is just refund you for what they didn't include in your delivery which means you have to go to the store and cook your own food. They are very unreliable. Some of the meals are good, some are pretty bland but are good about counting macros which is the reason I kept them. However my meals were supposed to be delivered yesterday and the tracking now says they "missed the pick up time." I have spent the past hour trying to call them and no one picks up. At this point this is a deal breaker. I am going for a local food service hoping I can get better costumer service. I feel like this company doesn't really care about their reputation because they pay so much in sponsorship and advertisement. Don't waste your money and go to someone more reliable. I give Trifecta 4 stars because all the meals so far are delicious. I don't like salty or heavy seasoned food so this is perfect. You can really taste the food. I'm eating more vegetables than before. The meals are packaged air tight so they stay fresh longer. The meals get right delivered to my door with ice packs so nothing ever spoils. The only thing negative is the price. I think if the price could go down a few dollars it would make it more palatable. read more

I tried to eat the food for a whole week before judging but day 4 i just could not stomach the food any longer. They charge your credit card for the second week the very next day your First shipment arrives. So you don't even get a chance to see if you like it before being charged for another week. I asked them for a full refund for both weeks but was only given a refund for the first week. The meat is dry, the fish is rubbery, the pasta is bland, and the veggies are gross. Trifecta is by far one of the best food delivery services I have tried. Given a busy schedule it allows me to maintain a healthy meal plan throughout the week. It took a few weeks to dial in the number of meals to order per week and which ones really appealed to my appetite. The a la carte menu is definitely a plus as it allows me to add fresh veggies to prepared meats for a delicious quick meal. We are plant-based and got the vegan meal service. The meals were really delicious and healthy! Lots of protein, variety of veggies, and a good variety of different meal options. We enjoyed all of them and actually got some good ideas for cooking our own meals! In terms of yummy meals, I would give a 5 star rating. However, we are giving 3 stars for the one downside of the service, which is the huge amount of plastic waste. I know they are working on this (I talked to a really great customer service rep!), and I hope that they fix it soon. The boxes come filled with styrofoam. The only styrofoam recycling service in Seattle is 30 minutes from our house and is not open on the weekends, so we have a giant stack of styrofoam in our guest room waiting for a day when we can transport it :( The plastic meal trays say that they are recyclable, but looking at them more carefully and after doing a lot of research, this is the kind of plastic that ends up in the landfill because most recycling places can't process this kind. Also plastic can only be recycled once or twice before its quality degrades and it has to go to a landfill. Same thoughts for the frozen bags. We ended up cancelling our service because the plastic waste was so significant and was piling up in our apartment. If they come up with compostable and biodegradable styrofoam and food trays, I would totally sign back on with this service - it could be a fantastic and delicious resource for busy people if it is made more sustainable! :) read more

The food is ok but it is IMPOSSIBLE to stop after you signed up. I kept trying, via email, chatting, phone. I couldn't get a hold of ANYONE and they kept sending me food despite me trying to go on and "skip" weeks so that I wouldn't get charged. They charged me more than $600 before I finally got them to stop. Customer service was horrible. read more

The food has always come in promptly, and the customer service has been bar-none whenever I have had questions or needed assistance with anything. Most recently, I got help from Austin on both a shipping issue (delayed due to the 'Rona) and some advice on possibly changing my meal plan. So far I am very impressed. We follow a strict keto diet, but we both work alot so we don't have time to cook all the meals. The only issue Ive had so far us they had potatoes in one of the meals which is technically not allowed on keto, I guess it's open to interpretation though so I understand. I absolutely LOVE Trifecta! I have tried many other food delivery services, and no other company has been able to sustain vegan meals for myself! Not only were they vegan (upon request) but they were fresh and tasted amazing. One day I had granola for breakfast, grilled mushrooms with cauliflower mash for lunch, and thai curry rice with vegetables for dinner. All healthy meal options that I would never make for myself at home. Almost all my meals were under 500 calories as well. My husband and I ordered a paleo meal plan for me and keto for him. My husband had FIVE of the exact same breakfasts every day and three of his other meals were repeats. According to the website, the meals were supposed to have much more of a variety. Other than that, his food was better than mine. My paleo meals were mostly potatoes and both of our meal plans were boring and tasteless. I expected more for my money and would not recommend Trifecta. read more

I have been ordering Trifecta food for about 6 weeks now and I am incredibly pleased with it. I have used several food delivery service (both prepared meals and ready-to-prep meals). Trifecta is by far my favorite. Very high quality of food, very fresh, tasty, great meal plan options, healthy, clear nutrition information, etc. It has really reset my understanding of what it a proper portion size and given me some ideas of some food that I could probably cook myself. As a distance runner, I need a few more calories than the meals offer, so I usually add some diced roasted sweet potatoes and yogurt on the side. They are always very satisfying. These meals are on the pricier side, but again very high quality. I chose the Clean Plan, which is great. Unfortunately, that plan is "chef's choice" and only allows me to restrict some items (e.g. no fish), rather than actually choose my meals. I usually like almost all of what I get, but I don't love chicken thighs - and I can't not get those unless I restrict it to no chicken at all. Regardless, this is a great meal service overall. I actually surprised my mom with a few weeks of the service using the Vegetarian meal plan. She got her first delivery today and is very excited about it! read more

Trifecta's meals are surprisingly tasty and have helped me lose 30 pounds! I feel so much better when I have at least two Trifecta meals a day - and the meals have introduced me to new types of healthy foods that I now love but would never have tried before. Perhaps most importantly, their customer service is PHENOMENAL. Cristal Jimenez has been so helpful in guiding us through options, helping me to customize our meal plan, and - on the very rare instances when we've received a wrong meal (maybe twice in two years!) - has been so quick to refund the money and make things right by us. She is supremely responsive, empathetic, encouraging, and supportive - in short, everything you could possibly want from a customer service team member. We're really so grateful to Cristal Jimenez for the great service and I'm so glad my husband introduced me to Trifecta. Horrible customer service! Avoid this meal service at all costs. Signed up for weekly deliveries and received the first week as scheduled. Deliveries are supposed to come every Friday. The second weeks delivery never arrived. No notification was sent advising of a shipping problem So late Friday i was left with nothing and had run to the store at the last minute. it took 2 emails and 3 phone calls on Saturday to find out it never shipped. Not shipped late, just never shipped. I was assured it would ship out Saturday. It didn't. So back to the store to buy more food. I spent more time on the phone and email with a rep who guaranteed the problem would be fixed and fresh food would ship out ASAP. As of Wednesday nothing has shipped and they no longer answer their website chat or customer service number. Emails received automated response. I can only surmise they have gone out of business or they are a fly by night service. Regardless, I will be filing a complaint with BBB After posting the above review as well as negative posts on Instagram and Facebook I received a call from a Trifecta representative. He was unable to get an order out to me due to human error by another employee. I put my orders on hold and a few weeks later attempted to cancel my subscription via email. I contacted 3 different employees so that at least one would hopefully respond. Nope. Had to open online chat. Received automated response to call and leave a message. After responding that I'd be leaving a negative review, then and only then, did I get a response. Save yourselves the hassle and look elsewhere for meal delivery. This service is a scam. If you want to cancel, there is no way to do so on the website. The website says you have to call a number to cancel your service. I called the number and was on hold for an hour - no one answered - I was finally directed to a voicemail, left a message, and no one called me back. I e-mailed their customer service as well trying to cancel, and no one responded. I finally had to call my credit card company to stop Trifecta from being able to bill be again. I get the pre-portioned macro-friendly meals and they are really good! I was so relieved to find these already set carb, protein, fat meals that are already prepared and so convenient to just warm up. I wasn't expecting them to taste as good as they do either. I add a little butter and seasonings to the veggies but the protein is perfectly prepared. It's so nice to have these meals taken care of. They are also shipped so perfectly in a nice cold box.
