So far the meals have been tasty and filling. First order I was missing a meal but I'll let it slide and see if this happens again. Anjeleah was able to change my delivery address after the cut off cause I was moving. A big thanks to her! read more

I have been using This company for about a year now, and it's absolutely great and convenient especially for those who are constantly on the go or don't have the time to meal prep. Any athlete knows meal prepping and your diet are essential components to your success. When the gym, work and rest take up most of your day is great to come home and have your meals delivered and ready to go! the Staff and the online store are very helpful in getting the right diet for you and also very courteous. I Would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to change their eating habits or any athlete looking to save time with an effective way of meal prepping. read more

I had a great and pleasant experience working with Evalyn. She was kind and professional. Thanks again for the help.

Will start with the pros: Bulk food. It's nice to be able to get bulk food items that are already cooked delivered fresh and straight to my door. I like the bulk items better because I can weigh them myself and feel like I have more control and trust in my macros. Working a lot and spending my other time at the gym, I hate using my only off day to shop, cook, and meal prep. Bulk food delivery has made my meal prepping SO much easier. Also, buying bulk and assembling the meals myself works out to be a little cheaper per meal. A couple major cons for me: 1) Breakfast options. I originally ordered the pre-made meals (just the clean meal plan) with the breakfast option. I am not following my RP template strictly right now, but wanted some meals that closely resembled the macros. The advertised meals looked great and the menu options listed for breakfast that week (and previous weeks) included veggie fritatta's almost every day. This was perfect for me, as I needed a carb free, higher protein option with veggies for breakfast. I understand that as the website lists, they may have to include substitutions for meals. I naively assumed that if substitutions were made, they would have similar macros to what the menu listed...otherwise, why even list a menu? I was very disappointed that all but one of my breakfast options were substituted with meals that were not even CLOSE to the same macros. I got one fritatta, 2 things of oatmeal (honestly I don't love spending $11+ dollars on a meal of oatmeal, but ok), a carb loaded "cherry loaf", and two meals of CINNAMON ROLLS. I thought "ok cool! They were able to make a healthy, protein packed cinnamon roll. I can dig this." Then I flipped it over for nutrition. 3P, lots of carbs, 36F. 36 grams of fat!!! I might as well have gone to cinnabon for breakfast. What am I supposed to do with that? I will say that customer service was pretty decent (after a few emails) and quickly refunded me for my breakfast items. But I'm honestly appalled that a nutrition company would even be making cinnamon rolls like this in their kitchen. They didn't even taste good. 2) Skipping weeks/friday delivery. Food is only delivered on Friday, so I like the skip option for weeks where I'm out of town for the weekend and not home to get my meals in the fridge. I just wish they would send an email confirmation for your records to confirm that you have in fact skipped a week. Unless I'm missing something, you cannot see past weeks that you have opted to skip once the last date to skip passes. Once, I skipped a week but when I went to my dashboard the next week it told me that I my meals were still being delivered the next day (when I was going to be out of town). I had to email customer service to confirm that I had in fact skipped that week and there were issues with the website and it was incorrect. I swear I skipped this week weeks ago, as again I will be out of town, but I was charged and meals are being delivered today. Once I was charged it is too late to skip. Now, this could of course be user error and maybe I am going crazy and just think I skipped when I didn't, but I dislike that there is no way for me to go back and check this. 3) Not a major thing, but the veggies are bleh. Just cook your own for cheaper - I got a few to meet the minimum $ requirement. All in all, if you want bulk food that you can measure out yourself, Trifecta is probably your best option. I will keep ordering for this reason alone. I think they are the only company that does this and the food comes fresh and it's not bad. But honestly, I wouldn't mess with the pre-made meals. They are on the pricier side compared to others and I feel like I can't trust the macros because who really knows what the heck I'm going to get. I would recommend Ice Age Meals if you're looking for a delicious (paleo) meal where you know exactly what you're getting. read more

I have been using triefecta for two and half months and I must say that I am very happy. I got my Sunday's back! Now I just have to heat up the food and I'm done! I notice than the flavor of the food has improved substantially over the past month. I went to the website and I saw that they changed the chef. My congrats to the new guy! read more

Update on Trifecta: Things got better after communicating (and a review), both of which I recommend, if you're not happy. We will stay on. What happened: 1) food got delivered late, but as promised; 2) the vegan plan had terrific variety this time: only two meals repeated of 10, 3) finally got a vegan meal with a "beyond meat" burger (the first in 5 weeks of ordering--50 vegan meals); there should be one of these per week in either the lunch or dinners. 3) the vegan breakfasts were more varied, but a muffin breakfast should be included once a week to break up the oatmeal-chia pudding staples; Customer service responded immediately and helped iron out several problems. 5 stars! Yet to be resolved: 4) packaging: so much styrofoam should be illegal; in any case Trifecta should either give credit for shipping back (two weeks would fit in one box) or find an alternative--which could be having the food delivered in fewer than the 4 days it seems to take; another possibility is to test other options by giving people from different parts of the country a chance to participate in the testing--if the insulation were paper rather than styrofoam, would it ice melt by the time it got to Rhode Island? 5) carrots--just too many in everything, even if you like them; 6) consistently overcooked pasta; 7) clunky site: somehow I wound up with two subscriptions, but could not remove one of them without contacting service; Customer service said that they were rolling out new vegan meals soon. Watch for an update on this review. read more

This is our first week. I ordered Keto for my husband and Paleo for myself. Before we could even try the food, they charged me for the second week. They are more expensive than other options so I cancelled. I'm glad I did. Many of the meals were tasty, but most are overcooked. The steak was not edible and the salmon is tough. I've tried heating on the stove and that doesn't matter. The mush that is supposed to be vegetables are unrecognizable. The curried spinach is excellent, but all other veggies were over cooked and they way over use tomatoes. If your concerned about lectins, don't order because tomatoes are in most meals we received. The frittata is very tasty so breakfast is good. By the end of the week, my feeling is I just can't eat another one of these. Couple that with the price and I would try other options. read more

Trifecta Nutrition is a fantastic alternative to traditional grocery shopping and meal prepping! While you're unable to choose the specific meals you want on every plan (you can only choose your meals on the Classic Plan) every plan has tons of variety. Meals are delivered vacuum sealed and take 2-3 minutes in the microwave before you eat. I chose the 2 meals per day for 5 days and was impressed with the variety! However, I did end up only liking the taste of one type of meal. I found the others did not sit well with my stomach (felt too oily, didn't like the taste of the recipes). That being said, Trifecta customer service is FANTASTIC. They're quick to respond and extremely helpful. I wish I enjoyed the recipes more, but don't be discouraged to try! Just because I didn't enjoy them doesn't mean you wont :) read more

I tried their Paleo and the Classic meals. The food is disgusting, specially the vegetables, no flavor at all and very repetitive. They got every single order of mine wrong each time I had a shipment. Some of the items were not even labelled. I tried contacting them but they never answer their phone and don't get back to you. When I finally got through and told them my concern, they left a note in the system for future deliveries and yet they Still got it wrong! Really bad food and terrible customer service I would not recommend them at all! read more

Trifecta is amazing. I would have loved to continue my subscription, but my availability to store my lunch meals at the University I attend was limited. I highly recommend the services they provide. I wish I could continue. Delicious meals with good portions. read more

I love the food. It's the best delivery service I've had. My only complaint is the app isn't that great. It needs improvement. read more

The food is DISGUSTING. No, really. How on earth they have 4.5 stars here is a mystery to me. Note the reviews here that nicely say it tastes bad - they're right. I did 1 week of Paleo and wow, crap veggies. Like soggy mixed in with a raw-ish blend of nasty, no nice sauces, barely swallow-it-down veggies. After 3 meals I'm throwing the veggies out, and I HATE wasting food. Clearly they're running around marketing and other things vs paying attention to I'd think square 1 - make good food. You cannot cook 3-5 vegetables together for EVERY SINGLE MEAL and let it fester in a vacuum-packed container w/o the taste of a bad ratatouille flavor ruining the whole thing. Any person who knows cooking can see through this - they just don't know what they're doing. The meats taste fine, oddly. It's the god-awful veggies. And that's important to me, plant-based ingredients. Basic frozen foods from the grocery store, which I'd rarely ever buy, are light years better than this. People it's crap. And pricy for being crap. Go for another system. read more

I'm one of those consumers that traditionally will not take the time to write a review because selfishly it does nothing for me but take my time. However, Trifecta is one of the rare occasions because it has assisted in truly changing my life. The food is delicious, it's super convenient, and the customer service is phenomenal. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed. read more

Pros: Solid customer service. Meals were delivered consistently. Options were diverse & mostly tasty. UI/UX is pretty friendly. Cons: not many "non microwavable" options for actual meals (plenty of snacks), which is tough for someone who's on the road all day. read more

I have been using Trifecta for quite some time now. I have a nutrition coach and Trifecta's a la carte menu allows me to easily fit my macros. I have had little questions about meat sponginess or why my boxes always arrive with the ice thawed. But honestly, I'm so laid back that I just accept it and remind myself that at least it's easy for my macros. Then I started noticing that every single order had one or more labels that did not match what was online. Turkey with 0g fat. Shredded chicken with high fat. It was all over the place. I originally spoke with costumer service and they had me send pictures of the labels. They also tell me to just use the macros from the website and not what is on the label. I feel like when you have to say not to look at the label then there is something wrong with your company. And how can I trust the online macros? How do I know if any of it is accurate if they can't even label it correctly. Not sure what I'm going to do but for now I've stopped even alerting service of the labels because I'm tired of doing it every shipment. read more

This morning while eating my breakfast from Trifecta, I found a cooked cockroach in the meal. It was missing it's legs. Gross, gross, gross! OMG! I am now googling all the fun things that can happen if you eat food contaminated by cockroaches. Things like food poisoning, salmonella, and a host of other diseases I can't even pronounce. These A-Holes are three hours behind me in CA. Can't wait until they open so I can give them an earful. I am also going to contact the local health department. Sorry I ever heard of this company. I have photos but can't figure out how to upload them to this review. Sadly, copy and paste doesn't work here. I would love to post these pictures online. I am already starting to feel abdominal cramps. Could be food poisoning or psychosomatic because I am freaked out I ate a meal a cockroach was in. Not sure, but either way it sucks! read more

I went on their website to look into meal plans. I had a few questions so I started a chat. Bre R couldn't have been more helpful. I forgot that I was a member years ago but she found my old account and re-activated it for me. She also honored the new member discount. I'm happy to be back with Trifecta read more

Food pretty good. Packaged well and very easy. Good quality but could use a little more variety. A little pricey but again pretty good foods. I find sometimes need to add spices. Biggest problem is if don't cancel or pause a week ahead, can't stop a delivery or payment. For this reason I would not sign up for food subscription again. I emergency and didn't get stopped, it could be financially big expense. read more

The food tastes horrible. I literally opened one and told my husband it smelled worse than dog food. We ordered 2 boxes and was such a waste of money. I ate the veggies and that was about it. The rest went to the trash. Don't waste your money read more

I just started with Trifecta and I'm so happy I found a company that uses all organic and not frozen food! The vacuum seal is great, food lasts longer. I had the salmon with sweet potatoes and veggies and it was so good. My 3 year old even ate a couple bites and was a hit with my 14 month old! Thank you Trifecta! read more

I have been receiving Paleo meals from Trifecta for one month I'm very pleased. The meals taste great, the selection is great, and their customer service is amazing. read more

Was impressed with my first delivery but the meals went downhill from there. Received a delivery with mixed expiration dates. Half the meals were the same expiration date as the previous weeks delivery. I assume they were trying to get rid of meals that we're left over. I also received a few meals that only had 3 small pieces of very fatty meat. I sent them an email and a customer representative responded and stated that the older meals were a mistake and offered a refund. I replied to the email stating I would love a partial refund but never received one. I would look elsewhere for prepared meal options. For the price you pay I would hope for better meals and customer service. read more

Sadly had a terrible end to my experience. They make it very difficult to cancel your subscription and once I did they sent one last order even though I canceled 6 days before an order typically arrives. read more

I've been a Trifecta subscriber for about 4 months now and really love the quality and convenience of their home-delivered ready-to-eat meals. I'm primarily getting the Clean Meal Plan but occasionally switch it up with A La Carte items as well. As a former Freshly subscriber, I can attest that Trifecta's meals are far superior in terms of taste and nutrition. They have recently adopted more eco-friendly packaging as well, which adds extra bonus points for me. If you're thinking about improving your diet and overall health for 2021, definitely give Trifecta a try! read more

Love the food. The deliveries are always on time and the meals actually taste good. I would say the quinoa is far too common an ingredient though. Not a fan of that. The seals are difficult to open after microwaving and the price per meal is unfortunately very very high. Losing weight is absolutely up to your ability to stick to the trifecta meals and not cheat. This is the hardest part. Definitely recommend. read more

I've done Whole 30 before...back when I had the world's most flexible work schedule and no kid. Life is different now and I knew I would need help if I were going to do Whole 30 again. I can't remember how I came across Trifecta (on the Whole 30 website maybe?) but the intent to provide meals made with organic/ethical ingredients was very appealing to me. When I saw I could also exclude a lot of the things I don't eat e.g., red meat), AND there was a discount to try it out, I was sold. Without getting into excruciating detail, what I did not see explained in the website was the impact of putting on those restrictions. I assumed that if I were buying 7 meals/wk, I'd get at least 5 different things. So when my food came today I was shocked to see I'd gotten only 2 different things & I'd bought two weeks' worth of dinners so I had 7 of each!). Uuugggghh... I immediately called to see why this had happened. I went through all of this on the phone with Will, the customer service rep, concluding, "Even I have enough time to make essentially one meal that I'm going to eat every night for dinner--I wouldn't pay $300 for that!" (tbf, it wasn't $300; I was frustrated and exaggerating and he didn't try to correct me, which I appreciated). He very matter-of-factly explained how the whole system works, which made it clear that they hadn't made a mistake (& he talked through ways future orders might work out similarly or slightly different, which was helpful), but he also acknowledged that the detail he went into with me isn't on the website and he could understand that this wasn't what I thought I bought. Then he offered to refund what I thought was a totally reasonable and fair portion of what I'd paid. This really meant a lot to me--I hate it when companies give you empathy followed up with....nothing. I'd already paused my subscription (but let that not go unremarked: you can pause and change your subscription, nbd) until I could try some of the food so I have a bit of time to think about how the way Trifecta + my personal dietary restrictions will work (or not) in my life. But the point is: a) Someone took the time to really explain the system to me so I can make an informed choice b) They seem focused on helping customers have delightful, value-filled experiences with their company, c) these meals are made with the kind of ingredients I would cook with (that's not typical). I've only eaten one meal but It was easy and quick to prepare and I thought it tasted good. I probably would have dropped my subscription without Will's calm, helpful assistance, so I'm grateful we talked today! read more

To try out I Ordered 1 week 2 meals per day paleo (totally 10 meals) I received 5 dishes x 2 .... who picked my order I realized in an attempt to order again I would need to see the meals and ingredients as they were to spicy for me..... after skipping a week And calling CS I received a call back two days later .... after asking about the paleo meals etc. the customer rep said maybe The program IS NOT FOR YOU! I decided to skip the next following two weeks .... I was then charged for a full week and was not able to stop shipment... they refused to issue a full refund but only offered 50% refund! There system is flawed as I know other family members who had similar problems..... the paleo dishes have way too much SUGAR!!!! Unsatisfied ex-customer read more

I have to say, the food you guys produce is absolutely incredible. Restaurant grade. I had originally ordered the vegetarian option, but it was a little too vegan for me. This company is a rip off. The meals I received are an exact copy of the meals I used to receive from Fresh n Lean just earlier this year. Packaging and food is the EXACT same. Furthermore, both of which were rancid and had gone off. However Trifecta is more expensive. Super disappointed and mad at myself for wasting my money and yes, the customer service is atrocious. I explained my problem and no refund was offered even though I never asked. Plus the free ground beef was old however it was a promo I didn't ask for. Never again. It went straight to my trash. read more

First of all I would like to mentioned the meals are not the problem the food is actually pretty good. The problem Is the fact you cannot cancel/discontinue deliveries online, of course there is no option to do so. I tried to call and they don't answer the phone. I sent an email to cancel service a week before and still received the food the following week. If you order be careful, they don't make it easy for you to cancel and you MUST contact them prior to the delivery of your current order to cancel for a future order, none of which makes any logical sense. read more

I've overall been very pleased with Trifecta. The customer service has been especially wonderful, as I was dissatisfied with a few minor aspects of the order and the customer service rep I worked with very quickly went above and beyond to not only make it right but provide me with more value than I was reasonably expecting. The food tastes great, it's delivered in a high quality and protected container, and I've been very pleased.
