I signed up for Trifecta because of its affiliation to Renaissance Periodization, as it's a la carte ordering allows for you to follow their templates. Food was delicious but the service was awful. Part of the reason I signed up was because my busy lifestyle was holding me back from properly meal prepping and cooking food on time, so I thought by using an approved meal service for my RP templates would be ideal. WRONG! So the time I would of saved by not having to grocery shop and cook was replaced with calling their customer service to get me refunds for missing orders. When I ended my service the rep even said "Wow! It looks like only 4 of your 15 orders were correct." (That means a 27% on accuracy, how is that even acceptable!?!?) Also then because I had missing items and couldn't rely on Trifecta to deliver me what they promised there were many last minute grocery trips, which then defeats the whole reason why I signed up for Trifecta. I even spoke to their customer service manager and he even admitted that their a la carte option has issues and encouraged me to do their meal options instead. However, again defeating my goal of trying to track my macros. Trying to eat healthy and lose weight is difficult enough. This service made it so much more difficult for me and at the end of the day it really felt like money down the drain after the amount of effort I had to put in. Also after reading this article about the company definitely made me nervous as well as there were questionable practices for sourcing food for the 2017 CrossFit Games. I decided to order their Keto meals - 2 meals a day for 7 days so a total of 14 meals. There were several duplicates. If they do not have enough recipies for 14 different meals then they should not offer that plan or state that there will be duplicates. I have tried 4 out of the 14 meals so far and although some have been better that others I would say they are mediocre. I do not think that these meals were worth the price. I also do not like the fact that I had to speak to a person to cancel the subscription and wasn't able to do it by clicking a cancel button. On a good note there were no problems with shipping and the portions are adequate. There Keto meals need to be worked on. I think that customers should be able to order meals per week as an option instead of having to sign up for a subscription. MEALS 1. Beef and Broccoli Bowl 2. Cheesy Bacon Chicken 3. Beef Stroganoff 4. Giant Meatball and Mash 5. Sausage Loaf with Creamed Cabbage 6. BBQ Chicken with Cauliflour 7. Beanless Chili Con Carne with Cauliflour Rice 8. Mexican Bowl 9. It's important to know that you are automatically charged every Friday. SO when your first order arrives on Friday, you are charged for the next week of meals. This was annoying to me because I wanted to try the meals before I ordered another week, but I cancelled two days late (Sunday morning...). SO be aware of this...they definitely force you into multiple weeks, which is of course an important part of their business model. I love that it's organic and the many meal plan options (paleo, vegan, etc) are a big plus. I tried the paleo plan andI didn't like all the meals, but I don't eat a lot of meat so I'm not used to it. They still deserve a good rating for what they're doing and the options they offer. The serving sizes are pretty large in my opinion, so I recommend giving the 2 meals a day option a try for sure. I'm going to give the vegan meal plan a shot for a week and will update my review after we see how that goes! read more

I have been receiving the Trifecta food for 4 weeks, I ordered the Keto diet and I really like it. It's fresh food and delicious! My family also love it. Sometimes the delivery is one day after but they send me an email in advance to let me know. So far I am very happy with this service. I was really excited for trifecta. Cooked meals?? Yes!! But the advertised menu is nothing like what you receive. I tried the vegan menu because I was doing a couple weeks of plant based diet. Let's just say I may never eat veggies or lentils again. They looked so unappetizing from the very beginning. I hoped after heating them up they would taste good. Not so much. I could've gotten steam packages of vegetables and had better tasting food. Since there really wasn't much other than a big plate of veggies and legumes. And guess what?? Most meals had 115g of carbs!! Plus the credit card gets charged for the next week delivery the day after your Friday delivery. So if you don't like something, you're gonna get two weeks worth. Most likely before you figure out how to cancel it. So check out your meals the day they come. Possibly skip the second week from the get go. Also, like I mentioned. Don't even think you're going to get what the weekly menu is. You're going to pay $12 a meal for cooked oatmeal, serving size granola packages, or chia seeds (yes chia seeds! Just a package of chia seeds gelled up already) Customer service has been pretty good. I've been emailing them. We will see how things go with the second week of food. Since most of those are the same as the first week food. I ordered a few al a carte steak/beef/salmon meals to come next and then I may cancel or just switch to getting bulk salmon, cooked steak, chicken, and beef from the al a carte menu. After using Trifecta Paleo meals consecutively for over 6 months, I paused my service for 3 months and have since re-started. I have evaluated but never used competitor services. Trifecta is the only company using all organic ingredients and grass fed meats. The shrink wrap packaging also is superior to other companies, which allows for longer fridge storage and makes freezing / defrosting super easy when you end up not eating as many meals as planned. The food taste great and they do a good job sending a variety of dishes and types of proteins including wild fish and grass fed elk. Read the suggestions on the website for best heating options and ways to add variety. The website is very good and allows for weekly menu adjustments as well as the ability to skip weeks or several weeks at a time. Customer service has always been very good as well. I have always received a response to emails within 24 hours or been able to chat real time when needed. Since beginning Trifecta in January 2019 I have lost 15 pounds and reduced my body fat from 17% to 14%. No quit options on the website, you have to be a week ahead of time or they're going to bill you again anyway, and their customer service you have to call or message isn't available except regular working hours for their time zone. All these hoops to jump out are unacceptable and scummy. Create an online store designed around your customer's needs instead of designed from the ground up to take advantage of them. I used Hello Fresh for 6 months and hated cooking the meals. So when I discovered Trifecta, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I wanted cooked meals in my life so badly that I ignored all the negative reviews and signed up. Big mistake. Pros: * The customer service folks are responsive. I received timely responses from Shelbie via chat and Morgan via phone. And someone even called me back after I hung up during a long hold time on the phone. Cons: * The customer service lingo is questionable. They say stuff like "unexpected production delays" (is that code for "we bit off more than we can chew and cannot accommodate the demand"?) and "I apologize for the miscommunication" (oh, you mean the LACK of communication...see below for more on that). * The "Trifecta deliveries are once a week on Fridays" advertisement is false. According to this I should've had my box yesterday (5/11). I never received tracking information, so I inquired and was told, "I see your delivery has experienced a delay and your order is scheduled to arrive Saturday by noon!" Welp, here it is Saturday and FedEx has no record of the box being put on a truck. After posting a complaint in the Trifecta customer Facebook group, I received a phone call: "We experienced unexpected production delays so your box will arrive on Tuesday." Say what? That's 4 days after the advertised delivery date! * When I posted in the above-mentioned Facebook group, a company rep responded with, "I think there was some confusion on our end when we initially spoke to you yesterday." Yep, there was some confusion alright. And it caused me to cancel plans and rearrange my weekend to accommodate a Saturday delivery that is now a Tuesday delivery. SMDH. I really wanted to like Trifecta. But I should've known it was too good to be true. Heed the reviews because they are accurate. I really hope they can get their act together because there is great success to be had. The meals were delivered right on time and were still kept cold, fresh and vacuum sealed. We received a wide variety of different meals, so very pleased with that! Personally I would NEVER recommend Trifecta to anyone. So far I've paid for 3 deliveries, and received two. Lets start with the food quality. My orders are "al a carte" and include elk. The two elk containers I received in my second order were to entirely different products it seemed. One was a bright pink color of meat, consistency was rubber and inedible and the package was full to the top with liquid.. The other one was dark brown contained no liquid at all and was noticeably tougher. The chicken on the first week was great, but I cannot say the same for week two because it was basically chicken soup. in fact all of the meat products excluding the bison containers were full to the stop with liquid. Next, the delivery consistency. Ive received 2 orders from Trifecta now and both have late but apparently a simple "copied and paste" apology via email and everything is supposed to be fine. I had to send a friend to my house both weeks due to working on Saturdays. 2/2 orders being late is NOT a good look for your company. Week 2's meals were incorrect as well. I received items which were not in my order at all. Don't bother calling the company, you're better off trying to reach a live human calling time warner cable. Maybe within the next week they'll call you back and just apologize for the company not being able to provide simple service and not offering any sort of compensation. When the customers pay a premium price, but they sure can make sure their instagram PR is good.. Maybe Brooke Eence has the only quality service. Judging by the rest of the reviews, I wish I had read before subscribing. Long before the shelter in place, I had been receiving Trifecta foods. I've tried all options, but for my personal goals, I prefer paleo. In the 10 home deliveries (I skip weeks), I think there was one meal I didn't care for and they got my order wrong twice (gave me steak or gave me multiples of the same meal) but they were super responsive-and they are a relatively new company so I understand. I like the meals very much; easy to digest, easy on seasoning and fresh. All the ingredients are simple and food is organic. These meals are not bland, but they're not heavy on sauces. That was appreciated and unexpected. Also, they refunded some of my money. Which was appreciated but I think they should have refunded all of it because the food upset my stomach. Cons: food is extremely bland with a hint of a kind of vinegar type taste. Lots and lots of chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans). There is a lot of the same meals too. Not a lot of variety. I purchased a vegan meal plan and the food was very bland, some meals were undercooked, and there were items I couldn't eat because of allergies (There wasn't even an option to avoid the allergy when building the order). I contacted customer service and while they were very nice, they did not help at all. I told them that I was unsatisfied with the meal plan, asked them for a refund and to help me cancel my subscription. Instead, they charged me for a second delivery (even after I told them I wouldn't eat it), wouldn't cancel it and told me to gift it to a friend or family member as a solution, and only refunded me for 10 meals of the first delivery. Overall, my experience with Trifecta was extremely disappointing. If you're planning on purchasing a vegan meal plan from Trifecta, save your money and go elsewhere. What an awful meal delivery system. They promised a different menu every day yet I received five of the same meals. Further at $15 a meal I can do take out just as healthy for the same price. Don't even bother trying it. Update 9/26... I just tried one of the lunch meals and while heavily seasoned definitely fits what I was looking for. It is still eating leftovers since you reheat already cooked food so for $15/meal I think there are other local options I will try. read more

My wife and I have used Trifecta for a number of months now. We were able to customize our preferences and not have specific things in our meals. I was able to get a lot of protein, which is exactly what I was aiming for, in a meal that was not too big. Everything is organic and super tasty. You can do keto or paleo or any of the big diet plans that are popular. It tastes much fresher than I thought and meals switch each week so you don't get repeat orders. Other meal delivery companies often repeat the same things every week and Trifecta doesn't so I was never bored with the food. Would highly recommend this to athletes if you want to get ample protein in your diet. read more

I decided to give Trifecta a try and just received my first delivery on Friday September 6th at about 7:30 pm. The first thing I tried in the morning were the hard boiled eggs which were a strange texture and didn't taste great. The small amount of liquid they were kept in tasted chemically and the eggs themselves we oddly bland. The next meal I tried at lunch was the beef patty, sweet potatoes and veggies and it was really not enjoyable at all. The beef patty tasted like cheap freezer patties and were on the thinner side which wouldn't have been so bad had they not been rubbery. The chicken and sweet potato meal was the only meal I had a good experience with. The brown rice and steak was horrible as the brown rice was not fully cooked and the steak tasted strange, honestly like it had been frost bitten which I don't understand because Trifecta isn't supposed to freeze their meat. This could have literally been the perfect service for me as I truly love simple meals. I honestly don't know how they could mess it up but they somehow did. I am also extremely disappointed that I didn't skip a week after my first delivery so that I could have time to try everything before I was locked into another week. By the time I received my first order it was too late to cancel the second order as everything needs to be confirmed 7 days ahead of time. I have already been charged and will be receiving another box of food I don't enjoy and while customer service did cancel my account they refused to cancel the upcoming delivery and refund me. The only good experience I had with Trifecta was the ease of customer service. However, they still make you contact them to cancel. I signed up with a click, I should be able to cancel with a click. I am amazed that people like their food. All the meals I tried had very tough, nearly inedible, meat. The eggs in the breakfasts were spongy and bland. I did not finish even one meal. My husband was less concerned with the flavor as he will eat anything that is put in front of him but the portions were too small for him. I was never able to log into the app, despite being able to log in through the browser with no issue. Trifecta never sent any notification of order modification cutoff dates. This resulted in an unwanted delivery. At $229 per box, I was pretty unhappy. We are sticking with Factor. The Factor food tastes significantly better and they actually notify you ahead of cutoff times. They have a better selection of food (you actually get to choose your meals) and the price per meal is lower. I had high hopes for Trifecta because of the claim of high quality ingredients but in the end it just wasted a lot of my money a now I have a box of food coming that I have zero desire to actually eat.
