Update - I wanted to update. I was able to reach customer service and they quickly canceled the subscription for me. The rep was very nice. Shortly after that I received a voicemail from a manager wanting to talk to me to address my concerns. So at least they are trying to improve customer service. I appreciate that. I tried one of the meals and it was good and the portion size was fine for me. Buyer beware. Wish I seen these reviews before ordering. Late order delivered to the wrong house on another street. Ordered 21 meals to try the variety and put in 3 skip weeks so I had time to try everything. 7 breakfasts turned out to be 7 frittatas. 4 with tomatoes and 4 with spinach. Some variety that is. Hope I like frittatas. I also ordered 7 lunches and 7 dinners. Guess what - lunches and dinners are the same meals. That's right, I got 7 meal choices - 2 of of each. Absolutely no variety. I have emailed with NO response. I have called and waited on hold forever until finally the last message they play is to leave your number for a call back...or email us they say. But wait, they don't answer emails either. You have to call to cancel and they don't answer their phones. So what's up with that? read more

Food tastes like shit! It literally have no salt or seasoning at all..... It's not low on salt and seasoning..there is NONE AT ALL. And they make it almost impossible to cancel your subscription. they literally have a youtube video titled how to cancel you subscription and it says you can skip the meals if you like. that's it! they don't want you to know how to cancel it. i used 3 different ready meal services and this is the worst one so far. read more

We ordered both lunches and dinners for 7 days in hopes of finding a way to make our lives easier. Hubby is Vegan, but he had 4 repeat meals for just the first week. 2 Smokey Tomato Dual Bean Bowl, 2 Spiced Cauliflower Brown Rice, 2 curried vegetable pilaf, 2 lentil bolognese pastas. He reported the flavor was no better than his Amy freezer meals which cost 1/2 the price per meal. We also looked at the macros reported saying 22 grams of protein on one of the meals- that's physically impossible with the weight of the food and ingredients listed. There was nothing that stated fortified with pea protein or something of the sort either. I had requested paleo, but even after reporting via messenger I don't eat any meat except turkey and chicken - I had 8 meals arrive that I cannot eat b/c 6 had salmon (I don't eat due to plastic pollution and mercury) and 2 with beef... these will be donated to the local Meals on Wheels. All in all huge waste of $$$ and that was with an awesome coupon. On the upside- meals arrived on time, packaged well, and and with sufficient freezer bags to keep it cold. read more

Absolutely obsessed with this company. The food is high quality and DELICIOUS! I can't wait to eat it every day. It's helped me stay on track with my diet and get healthy again. I tried Trifecta and I think they are ok and not excellent or amazing. Even though you order just 7 meals you will get lot of repetitions. And there are meals like beef patties , chicken sausages etc.. which I tend to avoid. Also I found the food bit oily. read more

WOW! I cannot say enough about how good these meals are and how good I feel about eating them. This is coming from a girl who hates leftovers and reheating food. I ordered the Paleo meals and they fit my diet perfectly, the amount of food in each portion is perfect as well. I can officially say I have gotten over my aversion to re-heating food and now have so much free time as I do not have to cook and clean up after every single meal. We ordered Trifecta for my elderly mom on the recommendation of my 20 year old son who is new into bodybuilding and has heard a lot of positive things about Trifecta's menu/food. My mother has a lot of health issues, is having trouble doing meal prep for herself, and also has a lot of dietary restrictions. We've tried a number of food delivery companies and the food just doesn't work for my mom because it is too rich and has too many spices. The convenience of Trifecta is spot on. The Trifecta proteins are perfect for her - quality, all natural, flavorful, and not laden in spices and condiments. The vegetables are delicious too but they are a little too firm for her. For this reason we ended up having to cancel our subscription, but this is not the fault of Trifecta whose audience does not need softer foods :-). We were able to easily cancel the subscription. I used the chat box on the website and David deactivated our account in seconds. A couple of reasons for 4 stars and not 5 stars: the packaging is wasteful. We do reuse the ice packs as they are perfect for coolers, etc. but do eventually have to throw these away. Also, we're not sure how to recycle the insulated lining so it just winds up in the garbage. It would be great if the insulated packaging could be recycled. My other critique is about the variety of food. Protein selections are strong but vegetable selections could be expanded and more creative. For example, how about adding acorn squash, butternut squash or other winter squashes to the mix? Overall, more vegetable variety is needed. I also think Trifecta should look into adding Hatch green chile onto the menu. Very low calorie but adds huge flavor. On a final note, my son is a *starving* college student but can't wait to re-subscribe to Trifecta when he has a real paying job. We do appreciate the product! read more

If you are a person who is looking for super clean eating, proportioned meals, no salt / seasoning and of course; the benefits of an already prep meal ready to be nuked and consumed; you are in the right place! ...if you want all of the above, but you care for flavor: walk away. I'm not saying the meals taste terrible, I'm saying they're not flavorful. I've tried 4 meals from the Paleo package, and today I had to force myself to eat 5 bites to have something on my stomach (that, and I hate to waste good quality food). For some people food is just fuel with no care for flavor; but for me I want to savor and enjoy the bites...I must say, I did not enjoy any of the four meals I've had as they all tasted the same due to the lack of seasoning and almost all meals had the veggies cooked the same way. I do appreciate the little salt and giving me the option to add based on my preference. My experiences with Customer Service have been pretty positive, big props on that and thank you for all the help and guidance navigating your site. Deactivating my account was not a hassle, I did it via chat and it was pretty easy and seamless. Again, I'm your regular Jane that exercises 4-5 times a week and is not looking for super clean nutrition to compete at the CrossFit Games. I am looking for a food delivery service that will provide nutritious, tasty and clean meals. Without the tasty factor, I go off the wagon...is the fastest way for me to destroy my diet because I like to enjoy food and not just consume it. Make sense? read more

I ordered Trifecta meal delivery for the keto plan. The first week, I received a nice variety of food, but they were not that great especially for the price. I ordered 2 meals a day lunch and dinner. I called to cancel my subscription, as this is the only way you can cancel, and I had to pay for one more week of meals. When I received my meals today, I received only four different kinds of meals and five of them are the same and not marked. They're a mystery dog food I guess. So, it appears they don't care about you, once you cancel their service. I do not recommend this company for anything. read more

Trifecta has been the perfect quarantine solution. The meals taste amazing and it is so easy. Occasionally I will supplement with some vegetables but most of the time the meal itself is more than enough. I went with the paleo meal plan and I can tell the variety of paleo meals cannot be match by other companies in this space. I contacted the company before I ordered the meals asking what kind of oils they use and I was told "When we do use oils, it's always healthy oils like avocado, coconut, and olive oils." I received my keto meals and multiple of them contain canola oil. I don't enjoy being lied to, especially about what I put in my body. Update: within a few hours of posting this review, I got a voicemail and an e-mail from two different people at the company. The voicemail apologized, stating the keto meals were new and the original employee who told me about the oils must not have known they used other oils in them, but they did indeed use canola oil in some meals (why would you use different oils for the keto meals, I'm not sure). The email said that they recently did remove canola oils from their meals and that this ingredient update must have "slipped through the cracks" with my meals (also odd). Either many of the employees here do not know what is going on at the company, or they are taught to say whatever they need to to keep business. read more

I don't know who keeps telling people that vegan food means zero flavor, but whoever it is deserves to be stranded on a deserted island, handless, with an itch in their arse. The vegan meal plan has absolutely zero flavor. I ate one and wasn't impressed, then opened a few others just to see how they were and it was the same with each one. I've been vegan for years, so I'm well versed in the deliciousness that is vegan cuisine. This ain't it. I cancelled my subscription, but unfortunately I was a day late and now I'm a dollar short. DO YOU LOVE HORRIBLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE? PERFECT!!! I know just who to refer you to!!! Their name is Trifecta and they have absolutely perfected the art of shady business practices... Exhibit A YOU CAN'T JUST CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT... That right...you have to call them to do it, which means waiting on hold or for a call back that never happens, and only then are you're allowed to decide that you don't want to give them your money anymore. But it's okay because they have a really good reason....it's for quality oversight. They would absolutely hate to not be able to fix whatever could make you not want their service. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that people are busy and don't have time to wait for callbacks or on hold forever to prevent having to pay for something they don't want, which means they put it off, and then the subscription just continues to go on and on. If you have to call to cancel...then tell me this...why don't you have to call to order too? It doesn't make sense and quite frankly you can say whatever you want....but nobody's buying it... quite literally....I'm never buying anything from you again. Make sure you don't misspell ANYTHING. Because they do not have any type of email verification in place. This led to me creating an additional account by accident that I didn't even know existed. So this whole time I thought I was dealing with my one account, putting orders on hold.... and apparently, there was a completely different one that kept charging me. All the while I had no idea this additional account existed, nor any way to know that it existed. It's not like I let this go on and on either...I called after the first delivery that wasn't supposed to occur... Now fast forward to today.... The girl I just spoke with today could not have been more fake in her monotone, canned responses and snide, condescending undertones. BRAVO on that "performance"....it must be very taxing to emote falsified empathy at that level. I was told that I didn't cancel my order within the 1-week notice so I couldn't get a refund... HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO CANCEL AN ACCOUNT I DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE?? If I had verified the account and knew it existed...that's one thing...but to tell me I didn't cancel the account that I had NO WAY of knowing existed???? It's not like I knew about this for weeks on end....I called trying to figure this out after the first delivery arrived that I hadn't ordered. If you guys would have handled this the way a reputable company would have...then you would have continued to get my business. Do you really think $108 is worth it? Somebody pinch me because Trifecta's delicious meals make me feel like I'm dreaming!! Could I have found the holy grail of healthy meal delivery? The answer is definitively YES! I have tried five other popular meal delivery services, and each time I was seriously unimpressed. The meals were not appealing, and even though I paid good money for them, I couldn't bring myself to eat them because they just didn't taste good. I felt like an idiot for wasting my money. And I was left with the same problem of juggling my job and all my other responsibilities to try to meal plan, shop, prep, and cook healthy tasty meals every day. I would end up making the same things all the time or drinking smoothies or getting takeout. I just didn't have the time and energy to invest in healthy cooking. I was gaining weight and feeling like crap. Then I got a little gust from the gods when I found out about Trifecta. I read about them online and got a feeling of hope. Maybe this time would be different. Something about their positive, enthusiastic, healthy approach made me willing to take a chance. And I'm sooooo glad I did. I just spent one week eating my Trifecta meals, and from the first bite I was hooked. Every single meal was delicious! I'm not kidding...they were delicious!! And I'm a picky eater. I got the breakfast-lunch-dinner for 5 days and then ate 2 a day for 7 days with a smoothie or a salad for my 3rd meal and healthy snacks like an apple, nuts, a boiled egg, or carrots. Each meal was like getting a present and being excited to open it and find out what it would be! Every single meal was delicious and different. I felt great after eating them, and best of all, my Corona pounds started melting off even though I haven't exercised during the quarantine. I lost 2.5 pounds in one week eating this delicious food that made me feel good!! Trifecta has some really delicious meals that are super convenient when I'm feeling a little lazy or in a rush. The "Clean" meals have a great balance of macros for me. Customer service was also top notch. The only reason it's not a 5 is because the meals don't always look the most appetizing, but from the perspective of someone training who might be chugging rank protein shakes and scarfing down bland meals to keep up with their macros presentation isn't really important. They taste great so I'm not going to fret. I've reheated in the oven, sauce pan, and microwave. Sauce pan is my preferred but all come out pretty much the same. Best meal delivery company I ever had. I was hesitant to order from a California company being in NJ because they ship fresh not frozen and was concerned about the quality once it arrived. Well it comes air sealed and it works brilliantly. The quality and flavors were amazing. Every meal has so many interesting components that really make it delicious. We tried Keto at Trifecta for a month. 1st Week - 10 different meals delivered on time, most were good And any meal I don't have to cook is at least decent :) 2nd Week - Arrived SIX days late, only a couple of duplicate meals No extra food or other consideration 3rd Week - Arrived FIVE days late No extra food or other consideration 4th Week - Only ONE day late, but all TEN meals were chicken 5 meals each with thirty cents worth of "chicken wings" + veggies 4 meals exactly "basil eggplant with onion and chicken breast" 1 meal was salsa verde chicken Late and/or no variety. It's a shame because the fish and Mexican meals were actually pretty good and the people were nice. I recommend looking for local meal places. I have found one within five miles where I go pick it up - and I can actually talk to the chef. We'll have far less plastic to deal with plus he incorporates pork, lamb, and other delicious proteins we didn't see at Trifecta for less cost (no need for vacuum sealing, refrigeration, and shipping). read more

These things are important to me: 1. High quality ingredients: when buying for myself I buy strictly grass-fed / pasture raised / wild-caught. Organic when possible. 2. Keto-friendly macro ratios. 3. Good mix of vegetables and protein. 4. Easy to prepare. 5. Delicious. I've used several delivery services--Daily Harvest, Butcher Box, Sun Basket, etc.--and have settled on Trifecta as the best overall for me. I sometimes supplement with a good steak from the local butcher, and/or fresh organic greens from the local farmer's market, but two Trifecta meals per day is the foundation of my eating plan, and I'm happy with it! I have been using trifecta meals for about three weeks now. I only get one meal a day and ship every other week. These meals have been used to supplement the cooking I already do at home, especially when I have had busy few days and have not been able to cook. I have been eating the paleo meals and I have been pleasantly satisfied with the meals that I have been sent. They taste great and have good quality ingredients. The paleo meals fit very well into my macro and calorie goals for the day. I also like that they are vaccuum sealed, which makes it easy for me to freeze the meals that I don't consume right away. Freezing and reheating has not diminished the quality at all. I am glad that I chose this over local companies that make me pick up meals three times a week and don't store well. Trifecta has just been more convenient for my lifestyle. read more

The food might literally be the most awful food we have ever consumed - either paid for, or cooked at home. After one delivery, we reached out to cancel the subscription - which by the way, they make very difficult by requiring a phone call as opposed to just simply cancelling online. When we cancelled, they explained that since we did not provide 7 days notice - we provided 6.5 days notice. After accepting that as fact, we asked that they not send the food as we wouldn't eat it - and didnt have enough room in our freezer to store it. They explained that I should just donate it - which you can't - its perishable food that requires careful storage. What a waste - what a joke - avoid and save yourself a problem. read more

Trifecta is AWESOME! The food is delicious, and I really like how they source their ingredients - organic, grass fed, free range, wild caught, etc. I tried the Paleo meal plan (no grains) and then the Clean plan - both had great tasting options and the shipments had a lot of variety. I've done a few meal delivery services before, and Trifecta has had by far the best customer service and the cleanest nutrition. Packaging is eco friendly, including the freezer bags and the styrofoam. The nutrition labels are easy to read too; there are no preservatives in any of them, so when you read it, it's like reading a list of ingredients from a recipe. Also, they're vacuum sealed so they freeze really well! The only drawback for me was the price, at $13 per meal it is definitely less expensive for me to cook for myself. read more

Mixed bag so far, but so far the best option I've found for close macro counting. Food is prepared in a healthy way and seasoned well. I order food a-la-carte to be able to build my macros each meal. You have to adjust your order a week+ out, which can feel hard to manage and a long delay, but if you pay attention & plan, it's all right. I was at about 4 - 5 stars for several weeks, but they've gotten my order wrong about 3 times now. The first time I figured I'd gotten confused somehow (looking back at my order, it was just plain wrong), but now that they've missed the same thing twice--once with no replacement and once with an unappealing replacement...plus they delivered a day late...I'm feeling meh. I was able to reach customer service & they processed the refund, which I appreciate. But this was bare minimum in my opinion - yes, you should give me my money back for the thing I didn't get. But now I have to make a new plan. A little something extra, like a small additional credit or free item the next delivery would have better compensated for the miss and made me happy. I'll continue the service and hopefully, things will smooth out. read more

Definitely worth the money. My personal goal was to use this service to train for my academy and keep a clean diet to assit in max performance. On the daily use it Definitely feels like i am fighting the fresh seal, almost feels like super glue on the plastic thats glued to the tray. The oatmeal was/is my least favorite from them as i don't think a $10.00 meal should just be oatmeal. Yes i know its a great food for its benefits but man did it suck seeing those as my breakfast choice. The not being able to schedule delivery on a Thursday or a Saturday was kinda of hard to work for my schedule always needed someone around to grab the meals and keep them cold. But overall this was a great easy way to eat clean and at a decent price when you consider what your time is worth to meal prep and go shopping and then cook food. I have been doing the plant based track. I received my package on time with ice packs still cold. I like the diversity and ease of the meals. The only thing I did not care for was the addition of Beyond Beef to the meals, it tastes like dog food. Otherwise the meals were filling and flavorful. We have been receiving trifecta meals for awhile now and really enjoy them. Allow for time saving, healthy meals when we would otherwise order out for convenience. The 2 times I have spoken with customer service I was very impressed with how friendly and accommodating the company was. I wish customers could be more selective in choosing their meals for the week, but do like the different types of meal plans available. read more
