Trident has brought their great Nitro Cold Brewed Coffee to Coronado with some great baked good too! They offer a great range of cold brews form light to dark, including decaf as well. There on the premise bakery offers Keto and Vegan baked goods consisting of donuts, muffins, bagels, and a unique cinnamon rolls. It's a small shop with limited seating out side on the sidewalk, but they have a lot of good stuff to offer. Very good friendly service. They allow you to sample their nitro cold brews as well. They also have nitro cold brews that correspond with their specialty cold brews. Solid experience and I will definitely be coming back. Just went to the new location in Pacific Beach and it did not disappoint! They have a variety of cold brew and coffee options and put a healthy twist on classic drinks. I got the Mexican mocha. It was very good but definitely very chocolatey/milkey. So if you aren't in the mood for a dessert drink I would opt for something else! However as a sweets lover, I thought it was great. We also tried the keto churro donut. The donut itself was pretty bland but the sugar on top helped. It is a great option if you are looking for a healthier donut, but personally I would probably just go for the real thing if I was in the mood for a donut again! This was a 5 star experience for all the reasons people give 5 stars. We ordered a cold brew, a chai latte and a chocolate croissant. Then, by some miracle, while we were sipping our beverages and enjoying our visit a man came in and started talking to our delightful host and barista extraordinaire about how he was moving to the town I grew up in so of course, I introduced myself and may have found a long term tenant for a property I still own there. Best matcha ever had! They use ceremonial grade matcha from Japan, it's not super sweet but enough sweetness thats not over powering! The strawberry cold foam was just a finishing touch, but goes so well with the matcha! Worth the 35 min walk from the ferry gate, nice walk to the location for a chill afternoon. There is a range of light, medium and dark roasts. If you don't know what to get, don't stress. The staff will totally help you out and even give you samples to try... Was asked if I was military, and he mentioned that there was a lot of them stationed in Coronado. I would say this is a very 'paleo' centered cafe: a healthy choice not easy to execute. I actually liked the 'made-in house' coffee cake. It was almond flour based and filling without the sweet aftershock. The hazelnut cold brew was a bit hard to muster for me. Maybe it's since they used some kind of artificial sweetener to substitute. I'm also not really a cold brew fan, so that mixture would have had to be executed at a very high level to win me over.
