Review of Fitzgerald Toyota Gaithersburg - Selling My Vehicle…read more My experience selling a truck to this dealership was extremely frustrating and I would caution anyone considering doing the same. They require sellers to deliver the vehicle to the dealership, stating they will reimburse the cost of a rental car for the trip home since they do not pick vehicles up. I followed their process exactly and rented a car for the return trip. Despite multiple attempts to contact them afterward, I was never reimbursed for the rental they recommended. . Payment was also delayed. They received the title on February 5th but did not issue payment until February 13th, and that only occurred after I reached out twice asking for an update. Another concerning point: the truck was listed for sale on their website before they had paid me or even received the title. To make matters worse, my license plates were never returned. I have documentation of the agreements, the premature listing, timeline of title delivery and payment, and my attempts to follow up about the rental reimbursement. Overall this process felt disorganized, poorly communicated, and far more difficult than it should have been. If you plan to sell a vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and being prepared for delays, last-minute price changes, and follow-up issues.

I got there and they said they couldn't find the part... so I'm like I came for no reason i see. The guy in parts stated that we can reorder it for you and you can pick it up tomorrow. They said they can't ship it to my house or another dealer smh. Just overall an inconvenience to my day. I came the next day to pick the part up and asked for a complimentary car wash and they declined....just ridiculous. One of the worst dealers I've been to. If you must go to Honda go to the one in greenbelt and just ask for Lateef! He's great! Never coming back to this silver spring location again... Update: the owner gave me a phone call and apologized to my situation and I was able to get a car wash the following day. So I did appreciate that. Raheem was very kind when I came back in and got me sorted

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! I had one of the worst…read moredealership experiences I've ever dealt with, involving the following "managers" Paul Angel, Rob Buaynstein, Jason Buts, and Mussa Fowl. I live in Virginia and went through the full process of purchasing a vehicle from this Maryland dealership in good faith. Here's what happened: * I contacted the dealership about a specific vehicle and was told multiple times they expected me to come purchase it. * I paid out of pocket to have a mechanic drive 40 minutes to inspect the vehicle before buying. * I repeatedly asked to place a deposit or hold on the car, but was told they "don't hold vehicles due to corporate policy." Despite that, they continued to tell me things like "see you tomorrow" and prepared me as if the deal was happening. On Friday morning: * They had me submit a credit application (which I was told would be a soft pull, but it turned into a hard inquiry). * They sent me a signed buyer's order with the VIN and price, which I submitted to my credit union. * My credit union approved the loan and issued a check payable directly to the dealership for the full amount. * I sent them proof of the check, and they told me to come pick up the car that same day. While I was literally on the way (3 hours out), after sending them the check confirmation: * They informed me someone else was coming to look at the vehicle. * Then told me whether the car sold was "above my pay grade." * Shortly after, they sold the vehicle to someone else. When I called to resolve the situation, I was given the runaround by multiple managers: * I was told the check "doesn't hold the car" * They claimed someone else "was already in the system" * And ultimately said they were no longer selling it to me The call ended abruptly with no resolution. Key issues: * Misleading communication throughout the entire process * Hard credit inquiry after being told it would be soft * Sending a signed buyer's order, then backing out after financing was secured * Accepting proof of payment and telling me to come in, then selling the car anyway * Complete lack of professionalism from management Bottom line: I spent money on a mechanic inspection, took a credit hit, secured financing, and drove hours based on their word--only to have the vehicle sold out from under me at the last minute. This dealership does not honor its commitments and does not operate in good faith. Proceed with extreme caution.

This dealership is great especially the service department. The staff are very friendly, and attentive to your every need. They are pretty fast with servicing my car. I never have to wait longer than 2 days for my car to be serviced. They always seem to have loaners available when needed. And the loaners they give out are always in great condition. I have been to other Mercedes dealerships in the area and the service at Euro Motorcars is unmatched. The team at Euro Motorcars in Germantown, however, provided outstanding service without ever making me feel bad for loving my older car. That commitment was put to the ultimate test with a persistent, tricky check-engine light. I had brought the car in for the same issue over an extended period, and the initial fixes just weren't resolving it. When I brought this frustration to their attention, they didn't treat me like a difficult customer. Instead, they simply doubled down on making it right. They kept my vehicle--and kept me in a brand-new loaner--until the issue was fully resolved. It took several months, including a master service call directly to German engineers. Throughout the entire process, communication was stellar. I received regular updates, had a long, reassuring conversation with the Service Director, and was even invited to talk through the mechanics directly with the technician working on my car. Because the diagnosis was so complex, they made some initial missteps--and rather than passing those costs on to me, they absorbed them entirely. It is rare for a business to take a frustrating situation and turn it into a genuinely positive experience. Hats off to the service team at Euro Motorcars for living up to the Mercedes ideals of quality, craftsmanship, and integrity.

When we sat down to discuss pricing, she stated it would be 800 extra. I agreed for the added reassurance. They asked me to place a deposit of $500 to get the car certified. She had to get the sales manager to explain why that deposit was necessary. He explained that they do not certify all vehicles, ***and if for some reason I do not want the car, that would cover the cost of them "certifying it".*** At the time, I didn't think anything of it because I drove it and I wanted the car based on that. She stated it my need some time to get it certified, and suggested I pick it up tomorrow morning, I stated I really wanted the car today, (although it drove perfectly). They said they would have it ready by the end of the day and I could return around 4. When I came back at 4, they told me they were just finishing up, ***but in the meantime we can finish the paperwork, because the finance person leaves at 5***. They told my they placed new brakes on the car and new tires, even though the test drive was perfect. After completing the paperwork and closing the sale, I drove home. At the first traffic light, I immediately noticed the brake pedal felt weaker and the car felt different. When I arrived home about 15 minutes later, I called and spoke to the sales manager. I explained the brake pedal feels significantly different. He said I should bring it back tomorrow morning. I brought the car back in on July 25, the very next morning. The sales associate, Nicole, asked for the keys and said she would test it out along with a service tech. They returned in about 5 minutes to say the brakes are fine. Another sale associate came out, (named Srikanta), and he said "your brakes are just fine, don't worry". Neither of them is a certified mechanic. Then a technician in a blue shirt drove the car with me around the block and stated this was normal, and that they gave me new brake pads that may take some time to adjust. I agreed to give it some time. Over the next day, it truly did not feel like the new car I test drove and the brake pedal continued being very spongy and delayed in slowing the vehicle when pressed. It needed to be floored to stop the car. On Monday, Aug 3rd. I took it to another Mazda dealership, (Ourisman Mazda of Rockville) where they offered to perform a full diagnostic on the brake system that would take about 3 hours. They were great! After their thorough evaluation they informed the rotors had been sanded down, perhaps when the brakes were changed. They did notice the spongy brake pedal and a lag in time when the car stopped. They suggested I take it back to the original dealer so they can fix the work they performed. I made another appointment at Gaithersburg Rosenthal Mazda, on Aug 4, and explained there is still an issue. They said they would "take care of it". After waiting there for almost 2 hours, they stated that they just flushed the brake fluid and that everything should be fine now. I told them the fluids were just inspected and were fine. I drove the car around the parking lot and it was exactly the same. I came back in and demanded someone else look at this problem. A "lead" service specialist then drove the car for a few minutes with me. He drove and noticed the softness of the brake pedal, and a noise when the brakes were applied. He then returned the car to the service team and David, the service manager came out and said they would replace the rotors and master cylinder at no charge and they would offer me a loaner car. How did this car just pass a full inspection 7 days ago??? When I was checking out the loaner vehicle, I informed the service attendant that I would like to make sure videos of my repair are sent to me (as advertised on their countertop. He said "ok sure". I also emailed David when I came home, 20 min later, that I want to make sure they get video as advertised in their shop. He also agreed by email. I picked up the car on Aug 4. The brake pedal did feel more firm, not perfect, but there was improvement. It is now Aug 9 and the car has returned to the soft brake, delay in stopping, and rough sound when brake applied. It is even worse, vibrates. It does not feel like a 2023 vehicle. I also had to ask more than once for those videos after the fact. The videos were short summaries, 10-20 seconds, with mechanics simply holding a part, and pointing to my vehicle. There is clearly a bait and switch scam occurring here with their "certification" process. I do not take these things lightly. Peter Rezamand, (the GM), Nicole Romero, (sales associate), and the service technicians will have to explain this further because I will not allow my $30K paid in full to be wasted. It's not a joke.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the service department. I have been coming to…read morethem for service for years. Since I purchased the vehicle in 2022. All my work was performed here. I even had an engine replaced by this dealership and after a year there are oil leaks found. The service department is somehow always backed up when I drop off and if I schedule it Tuesday to be seen it won't be seen till a day or two later. I had taken the car several times to address a coolant leak and every time was something different and I would pay my dues. A year or so later im back with coolant leak AGAIN after addressing this issues 3 different times. When I'm speaking to them, there was no willingness of taking responsibility for the possibility that these issues could be related to previous work completed here. I expressed my concerns and was told there was nothing they could do, and the expenses are all on me that the coolant leak is related to new reason. I understand vehicles age and repairs sometimes unrelated but i expected better. I mean three different times? three different issues and now less than 2 years I'm leaking coolant again? I called Stellantis who tells me to come in and so they can submit a goodwill review to only get rejected because Stellantis does not take good will reviews for cars over 2019. How convenient my car is 2018... So now Stellantis rep tells me to come and now I have a diagnostic fee of $240 or so. Ive spent MORE than $5k on repairs to this car for issues that keep recurring so I would think the year does not matter because it's about the work BUT NO! Youd think they'd be somewhat kind to at least help given the history and how only they have worked on the car and each time I have paid alllll major work no problem. A whole new engine and tons of repairs for coolant leak? So yes, I'm frustrated and hoping for assistance but nope. A multimillion-dollar company could not just try and understand my point of view. Extremely disappointed and extremely fed up with this location and Stellantis. So, I do not recommend them based of my years dealing with them. OH and yes, after my attempt for the goodwill review, they still made me pay the diagnostic fee but gave me $60 dollars off, at least, right?..... i asked them to waive it because i would not have brought it if Stellantis did not suggest and send me this way for nothing... so just overall horrible all around. The service advisor, I do not blame him. Bucky was sweet and kind. Jonnie, who no longer is there super kind as well. John on the other hand. Some managers I never see and when I did see him one time, he dismissed my concern about my hood because " to replace an engine they do not remove the hood" AND when I explained how Stellantis is suggesting doing goodwill, he does not sound too pleased and when I explain the work i've got done he sounds, again, like he's uninterested, dismissing my concern and when I mention i've gotten a brand new engine replaced with them he has the feel to tell me the engines are remanufactured... but when i got the work done, the service advisor reiterated the engine is BRAND new... I asked multiple times and he reassured, brand new. not remanufactured. So I'm DONE working with them. I should have read the reviews before deciding on using them, but I thought dealerships would be best to take care of your car.... I know writing this story won't change anything, ive already wasted time, money and energy here but hopefully someone can avoid them.... To top it off, I took the vehicle to two other mechanics, and they expressed how poor and "Sloppy" the repair/work was.
