It seems to me that I wrote a lot of reviews for coffee shops all around, but hey Gunnison, I have to say LUCKY you! We stayed here for two nights on our holiday, the first day I was here twice and before we left we went again, it is just so good. The interior is bright and modern with very high ceilings, the staff super friendly, fast and professional. I got a couple of Lattes with whole milk, a cortado and golden milk, also two different scones that were delicious, the lemon one still hot early in the morning. The coffees were both rich and creamy , the cortado to exact right amount, even in the same glass as in Spain! My boyfriend had a chai that he liked a lot , a breakfast burrito and also a breakfast biscuit that looked amazing. What a great hang out spot in the middle of this little and quaint city. If you go to the black canyon make sure you drive by here first, they open at 7 am. Parking is on the street but wasn't a real challenge. So happy to finally be able to get back into a coffee shop, sit down and enjoy the space. The staff here was so friendly, wonderful, and welcoming! Stopped by for some coffee and treats on our way to blue Mesa reservoir. The coffee was perfectly roasted, the atmosphere is so calming (this would be my spot if I lived in Gunnison), and the barista was kind and seemed to really care about the place. Went in to buy a bag of beans. A gent working there told me about all the varieties to help me decide. I told him we only have an aeropress, and he also asked me what kind of roast I usually like. After he described them, I opted for Tributary's Ouzel medium roast espresso, and it's soooooo good!! The customer service here was top notch - very helpful and knowledgeable. read more

Didn't get great vibes from this place today. I ordered a hot tea and my bag was burst sending tea leaves everywhere in the cup. When I asked for another tea bag they denied me and said that was natural. Also, neither of the women working made eye contact with me once the whole time I was there. Such a great find on our drive back to Denver. The baristas were so friendly and welcoming, asking us questions about our trip. They have lots of vegan/vegetarian options including a delicious sunflower seed spread topping for bagels. Their burritos were also great, and the coffee was solid. So stoked to find this place. Cruised through Gunnison this morning on the way home from an epic week in Crested Butte. Stumbled upon this place and I'm glad we stopped. They have a great selection of craft coffee (had to take a bag home of course). The staff were super helpful based on your personal preference. I had the pour over New Guinea (highly recommend) and my wife had the Ethiopia (super light roast...also delicious). We also snagged a couple of their bacon breakfast burritos - so good! The shop itself has a really cool vibe. If I lived near Gunnison, this would be a weekly (if not daily stop). I hope they grow a strong reputation in town; we'll be back! Strong work! read more

Super nice staff, lattes are great, and the quiches tastes delicious. Everything you would want in a coffee shop along with the small-town community feel. Also, a huge added bonus is that they have a great system going for social distancing and cleanliness--their staff is wearing masks the whole time, they clean the bathrooms frequently and even have a sign in the bathrooms to record and show when it was last cleaned. Loved this place! Barista was very friendly and took the time to have a conversation and paid attention to my answers. LOVE the oat milk option, very few places offer oat milk in Colorado, unfortunately he was out of stock, but the golden milk was delicious. The menu is great for everyone. WiFi was fast and was easily able to work there for half a day! I would definitely recommend this coffee shop! read more

These guys put a lot of hard work into recreating this space into a beautiful, light filled space that is immediately inviting... whether grabbing a to go cup or meeting up for a casual get together. The coffee is terrific and crafted in small batches with lots of love. The gorgeous roaster stands at the ready by the front window! Love the coffee offerings beyond the typical latte. The staff is not only very friendly but well trained. Knowing how to properly pull a shot is the difference between a bitter disaster and a caffeinated unicorn. They definitely take pride in delivering the goods here. A proper roaster/coffee house (dare I say a bit mod?) who you'd likely encounter in some hip neighborhood in Denver. We had heard great things about this little coffee shop however we were highly disappointed! The gentleman behind the counter was very sour and unfriendly. Acted like it was an imposition that we were there to order coffee. The coffee was like it was made with hot tap water.
