In the past, we've gone to Lowe's but the appliance repair guy who pulled the plug (pun intended) convinced us to check out this appliance retailer as they stand behind their installations, as well as offering competitive pricing. It's part of the same strip that houses Sesame Burgers and several other small retailers. We were warmly greeted and though the gentleman we were told to ask for was running late, Chip suggested that we look around and that he would answer our questions. The showroom was not large, but, the refrigerator selection appeared to be adequate. Our decision was quick in that a 33", 25 cubic foot fridge, was now considered a special order. We had no time to spare. Chip was able to schedule delivery the next day on a GE with French doors and bottom load freezer the next day. Sold! We received a delivery confirmation that evening and a text message the next morning with a delivery window. Installation was a breeze. Plugs employs their own installers. By noon the next day, I was happily on my way, re-stocking my new fridge and freezer. I was always a big-box shopper but now I'm sold on 'the little guy.' You will be, too. Make Plugs your first stop when shopping for a new home appliance.

The deliverymen showed up on time, removed the old refrigerator, installed, and set up the new one, and took time to show me the bells and whistles. A couple hours later it started dropping ice cubes and I realized it didn't have an ice bucket, so I put a large mixing bowl underneath the ice maker. I called and spoke to Chuck about getting one. His response was he had no clue what could have happened to it. He checked the floor models and there were none in those refrigerators. He called back later and said he left a message with the manufacturer's rep and asked him to send one, and would get in touch with me when it came. 5 months later, 4 phone calls, and stopping in twice, still no ice bucket. Every time I speak or stop by - "We'll check and follow up". Haven't heard from anyone yet! I know it's just a plastic ice bucket, but I shouldn't have to have a metal mixing bowl in the freezer to catch ice. If you can't take care of the small easy details......... Today it was delivered and it doesn't work properly, another headache trying to get it picked up and refunded. (Kudos to HD manager for getting that done for me after a mess with the 3rd party delivery people that couldn't be gotten ahold of). Sooo then I had to try to find another one... my son said "go where you bought the washer" So I called and Sandra looked through all the inventory and found the Frigidaire freezer I was looking for, put it on hold for me until I could get there. Let me tell ya... this is the place to be if you're looking for consignment furniture! I hate to even leave a review saying this, considering I am still wanting to find some specific pieces for my house and I don't want other people getting there before me and taking what I'm looking for, but I should not be a gatekeeper. I love the furniture and other variety of items (lighting fixtures, televisions, computer monitors) that they have available. Most items appear to be in pretty good quality. It seems like if you are a seller this would also be a good place. I think I saw signs talking about how they will come pick up the furniture from your home in one of their large trucks. Having needed to do something like that before, I can tell you that's a pretty good option to have. This is easily my favorite furniture consignment shopping in Mount Pleasant. And definitely top three of all time. I have never purchased anything from here so that may be a different story when J do, but check back at some point, I'm sure that will change.

I called to ask some questions and next thing you know, I was calling back with credit card info to set it up sight unseen. I called on a Friday and the unit we were interested in was in stock so we were able to set up delivery for Monday. Monday the crew called to let me know they were 20 mins away. They showed up as scheduled and were very professional. They hauled away the old broken unit, installed the new Speed Queen, and ran a test cycle. We had just repainted the concrete floor in the laundry room and they were careful not to scuff it up. Considering the delivery, install, and haul away was an extra $50, that was money well spent.
