I continued down the list of various HVAC companies to see if someone had availability and got a call back saying "have you found someone? If not, Claude can help you and can be over today". Sure enough, Claude and his son came over and got me in working order. They were prompt, talked me through what was going on, and have a good warranty on the product. It was Sunday evening when I discovered a plumbing problem at the house. I decided to put out a…read morerequest a quote through Yelp so I could see who was available and get some pricing for Monday morning. I've had this issue happen years ago so I was pretty confident in the fact that I needed my main line snaked/augered. I feel like the whole point of doing these requests is to get the info you need without a bunch of phone calls and visitors to the house, but it feels like pulling teeth trying to get a quote out of someone. I understand there are variables, but I'm including a description of what I need... at least give me a ballpark. While Holy City is one of the ones that would not offer any pricing, they did offer a free estimate and they also got back to me Sunday evening within minutes of putting in my request. I went back and forth on the app and set up an appointment for Monday morning between 10am-12pm and was told I would get a text 30 mins before to let me know someone was on the way. Well 10-12 came and went with no tech, no call, and no text. I did shoot them a message at that point letting them know that nobody came. A while later, they sent me a message saying that my appointment time had changed and would now be between 3-5pm. No apology or acknowledgement of the missed appointment from that morning. So I replied, "No thank you. You already no call/no showed our first appointment". I get no response on the app so I figure what's done is done. Then I get a text around 3:15pm letting me know a tech is on his way to my home. I responded with a shortened version from above and that I no longer wanted service. Then it seemed I was getting a new message from an Aaron D stating he canceled the appointment and was sorry for the confusion about my appointment. I pointed out that there was no confusion about the appointment and that I was ready and waiting the whole time to which their tech no call/no showed. Then they just reschedule me for 5 hours later with zero explanation or apology. At that point, the problem was already fixed by another plumber from another company who was more reliable. From there, Aaron did apologize for the inconvenience and acknowledged that the mistake was on their end and he would deal with it internally. Based on other reviews and the quick response to my initial inquiry, I was really looking forward to a great experience. Maybe this was a fluke for them, but I can only go off of the experience I had and it was quite disappointing. I'll add an extra star for Aaron reaching out to remedy the situation and acknowledging their mistake, but I won't be recommending them to anyone else.

Listen, there are more than one HVAC services available in the low country, and I've used several that responded within an hour of request, and once hired were begging to be used again if I ever needed assistance. Customer service is non-existent here, and if that's indicative of their company, go elsewhere.

After numerous years of solid service and communication, I had an experience with Hero that…read morenecessitated that I find an alternative HVAC company. In brief, a tech diagnosed a system issue, recommended replacement, and a quote was provided ($14-$18k for a new system). I brought in another vendor for a quote and they indicated that I did NOT need a new system at this time and the issue may be related to a leak in the lines (that can't easily be detected). Alternatively, the other vendor suggested a chemical be injected into the lines which acts a sealant. I then contacted Hero professionally asking them to contact me to discuss this alternative and to hear their thoughts around why a new system is the right decision; they did NOT reply back to 2 messages over a 10 day period. After I called and left a voice message, the manager did professionally call and apologize for the lack of responsiveness. Punchline - At a cost of $300, 3 months later, my system is still running flawlessly...there is more life in the system.

My daughter who lives in Mt Pleasant bought a townhouse and I was visiting helping to get a few…read morethings worked on. I knew I needed an HVAC company but had zero experience w/ any in the area. I submitted a Yelp query and quickly heard back from Lisa. I explained what I needed and she scheduled an appt to assess and talk estimates. Corey arrived on time and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I needed two intake vents replaced, one was a custom size. And I needed 12 "boots" and grates replaced on the vents. I had tried to do this myself and it was just impossible. Corey explained what was needed and we discussed the price. Jump ahead to the work day. I needed to run some errands so I phoned the office to confirm arrival time. Lisa was quick to find out the answer and let me know. Around 10AM, per plan, Maurice and Marquis arrived. The work required hours of being on site and they were quick to get started. To say replacing the vents was difficult would be an understatement but they got it all done. Their work also involved doing a cleaning on the system. I would highly recommend these guys. From Lisa in the office, to Corey who did the estimate, to the Maurice / Marquis the install team. Just a great job ... all attentive, knowledgeable, and professional.
