If you have an appliance in need of repair, I am recommending you call Scott at Dorchester Electric…read more843-532-4807. He came highly recommended by Tribles - a supplier of appliance parts. I explained the issue of my gas oven not heating to the desired temperature and he walked me through the process of making an adjustment on the control panel (with the help of the manual) and explained how this sometimes occurs. He expects no compensation....but I did offer to bake him some pumpkin muffins Before contacting him I had reached out to 2 other companies (recommended by folks in my neighborhood) and both wanted around $95 just to put their foot in the door. Kicker... none of that money would have gone towards the actual repair! Scott let me know he has a $90 service charge but that $$ goes towards the repair - as it should be.

I contacted Landon and the service he provided was top notch. It was a challenge to fix due to the vacum age but he would not give up. He would research the issue and always follow up with me what he found. It took him 3 trips to my house but not once did he complain. It was difficult to find parts for my old machine. In the end, he was able to connect it to the house and it works great. I will continue to use them and highly recommend.

They ordered the part, we waited all day and when they arrived at 4p, they had the wrong part. It took another 2 weeks to get the part, it was installed in 15 minutes and they charged 368.00 for labor, that's roughly 24.00 a minute for labor....no adjustment for labor. We did get a zero charge for the new part and 50.00 off for inconvenience BUT it's the non-negotiable labor charge. ITS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS and the reply I received was we do excellent work hence the high labor cost. Definitely disappointed in the fee structure and requested a call from higher up and that never happened

Poor experience with Aviv Service Today…read more Our oven repair took nearly a month due to a misdiagnosis and delays. We were first quoted $295, but after the wrong part was installed, the cost jumped to $498. We ended up paying $692 total for what should've been a straightforward fix. Even after the final repair, the oven was misaligned and leaking heat. Management refused to take responsibility or offer meaningful compensation--just a future diagnostic credit, which we don't need. Not a company that stands behind its work if something goes wrong.

According to them, everything else was fine. 6 weeks later during an unseasonably hot day in January the tech came out and said we had a hole in our coil, without ever going into the attic and he was in the phone talking the whole time. 10 minutes (and $70) later, he informed us that we needed an entirely new system in our 10 year old house. We have since had several companies come out to quote us a new HVAC system, and all of them said the duct work was fine When we decided to go with another company, they told us that only a manager could cancel maintenance plans and he would have to call me back. I waited over 6.5 hours for him to call me back, where they kept me on the phone for over a half hour before they would cancel our maintenance. Sales focused company with questionable integrity
