Needed an igniter for my oven, they were the 1st that answered the phone, several called me back…read morelater. I had already trouble shooted that it was the igniter and had it all apart, this was Monday and appointment was Thursday. Checked local stores and the original Frigidaire igniter at Lowe's was under $30. It has very easy access with 2 wires to cut and connect with wire nuts, and 2 small screws. I could complete in under 20 minutes if not for my 3 herniated disc, so $30 and 20 minutes later would be cooking. They have some overhead but are a husband and wife with 1 tech that lives by them(nice guy). So after paying $252.33 for 20 minutes I contacted the wife who was very defensive and acting like she knows nothing about her business ? She promised the tech or her husband would call me to discuss the bill from February 10, 2022 and today is 29 days later and never a call ? ? ?

Jessica picked up the phone on the second ring and before noon (the same day) Kyle A. was at work and quickly assessed the problem. Unfortunately, a permanent fix would require a replacement part which would take 2-3 days to arrive. Thursday afternoon, Jessica called to schedule the (next day) service call and by 11:00 am on Friday, Kyle A. was done. I honestly don't know if the charge for the service call ($100) or the replacement part was the lowest around but Joe was so pleased with his interactions with Jessica and Kyle that we would not hesitate to call Aviv again.

Kicker... none of that money would have gone towards the actual repair! Scott let me know he has a $90 service charge but that $$ goes towards the repair - as it should be.

The Repair: GE clothes washer ~10 years old, not draining and getting stuck on pause He came in and listened to what was going on and then decided to crawl underneath to get a closer look. He deduced that the drain pump wasn't working. After pulling it out he opened it up and discovered that the pump didn't feel right and showed me his findings. He ordered the part and would not accept payment until the repair was complete. A couple of days later, part in hand and first thing in the morning he shows up and puts the pump in place, and WaaaaaaLa! He put the washer through all the setting and showed me that it was working. Between both days, he probably spent an hour and fifteen minutes total. Great to have a working washer again! Oh, and not spend a bunch of money on a new machine.

I called around to 4 different appliance repairs companies before finding Michael at The Appliance Team, and he was the only one who was able to come by on the same day without charging for an emergency visit. He showed up only a half an hour into the 2 hour window that he gave me, with a 20 minute heads-up call to make sure I was home. Super courteous and friendly, extremely professional. He was able to quickly diagnose my fridge, which had sadly reached the end of its life. But Michael was able to give helpful advice on what to look for in a replacement fridge, including brands to avoid, styles that are most energy efficient, and even local stores that he likes.
