This is was a big project to remove a wall to open up our downstairs, completely renovate the kitchen, pull up and install new floors, and paint the entire house. The project finished exactly on time. The price was reasonable. This was a once in a lifetime reno, and we could not be more happy with the quality of the work, the end result, and the overall experience. We use our kitchen every single day (all day!), and it is functional and beautiful. There is nothing I would change about it. All parties involved should be recognized, from design services to project management and to each of the contractors: Cabinet guys, countertop guys, floor installers, painting team. All did really quality work. I haven't hung up pictures yet because it's so nice having beautifully painted walls!! It's worth pointing out that we could not afford to vacate our home while this was going on, so we (my husband, me, our 5 year old son, and 12 year old dog!) lived in the house for 5 weeks without a kitchen, floors, etc. I know our living there and needing some place to sleep, etc. had to be factored in to the overall organization and scheduling, and I'm sure it made the project more complicated. This didn't seem to faze anyone! This is also why we appreciate that the project finished exactly on schedule. Thank you Jack, Jackie, Gina and the entire team!!

I was impressed that the floor was installed seamlessly, with custom molding. It looks as though this was a custom floor installed by the builder since you cannot see any seams and no quarter round was used to hide spots that were not cut perfectly to fit. Amazing flooring product and a great installation! Second Magnolia installed a custom kitchen, which we absolutely love. Over a period of 4 years we obtained quotes and designs from multiple vendors and home improvement stores and were never able to get comfortable with the price for the product. With Magnolia I got an outstanding product, at a great price. They also guaranteed the installation and allowed me to meet their installers. The big home improvement stores offered to sell me a product but did not guarantee the installation and would not offer plumbing and electrical work so I would have had to pay for all of that separately. The end product reflected the careful attention to details in the installation, which made my wife and I very happy. My moldings and trim look like it was all part of the cabinets from manufacturing, with no cuts that are filled and then painted and no visible nail holes. Overall an absolutely seamless installation. I would highly recommend this business for any cabinetry, flooring, kitchen or bath project in the greater Charleston area.

After purchasing the house, Salt Marsh prepared a detailed project budget that was remarkably near the amount that they provided as a rough estimate. Work began in early September. We moved in during the first week of February with a minimal punch list of items to be completed (mostly caused by supply chain issues). Most importantly, they have been diligent in working to clear the list. Working with our team from Salt Marsh could not have gone better. They are good at what they do, professional and well managed! This is our fourth major project (others were in New England) and I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed working with a contracting team as much as I have Salt Marsh Contracting. They helped us figure out what projects were urgent and what could wait.
