I have been going into this location since I was kid with my grandfather. Today I went in and there was a gentleman look to be repairing a screen for a window. Knowing he was busy like the rest of the store, I said excuse me and asked could I ask him for his opinion. He proceeded to take a deep breath, threw the box cutter (I believe) down and said what is it. That threw me for a second. I just said you know what never mind. I walked off. I did ended up leaving the store all together. Never had that experience, but it just did not sit well with me. read more

Out of all the aces I have been to the customer service here is the best. I only come here for the propane tank refill which is relatively cheap. I never have to wait very long. The ace closest to my house has customer service worst than a McDonalds so this place may just look better for that reason! Either way a great Ace. read more

We rented a Budget truck from this store and they really went above and beyond to make sure they weren't overbooked like the TWO companies we tried before them. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! Find a different location. The service here is absolutely horrible. And the owner Calvin, is so rude. We needed to rent a truck asap after unfortunate circumstances presented themselves. My family and I are loyal to budget and called to find where there was a truck available for immediate pick up. They listed a few options and we decided to go here because we like to support our local businesses. We rushed to the store because they were closing at 7 and we made it there at 6:45. When we got there one of their employees was helping us out and it seemed to us that she was new and still being trained because she had to keep asking who I thought was a manager for help, she wasn't sure what she was doing. She over quoted us $90 and we asked why it was so expensive we only need a 1 day rental we wanted to make sure we didn't have to rent it for 2 days since we showed up so late. And the owner came over and said no it's a 1 day rental we just charged you for insurance and fixed our quote. And had us sign off on a piece of paper that explained the insurance to us. And that was It. One signature explaining that we didn't want the insurance because we had our own. Then the "trainee" Took us outside to walk around the vehicle. My mother started pointing out scratches and dents like the lady asked us too and she didn't write any of them down she just kept saying it was already marked, so immediately I started taking pictures cause I didn't feel comfortable. Then I asked what time we had to have the truck back for our ONE DAY RENTAL and she said 6:30 tomorrow. Then my fiancé came over and asked her questions about returning the truck and asked her again when it had to be back by and she again stated 6:30 it's 24 hours from when you picked it up. So we rushed back to the store in the middle of a huge down pour/ storm at 6:30 pm the next day I came running in and told him that my mom is stuck up at the light in the truck she's right behind me we just wanted to make sure we weren't late the roads are awful and the traffic is awful, the owner said: oh that's okay don't worry about it and started to check the truck in. I was like oh wow that's great thank you so much and he proceeded to tell me it didn't matter we were already being charged for the 2nd day since it wasn't in at 8AM!!!!!! I said excuse me your employee told all 3 of us to our faces that it had to be in at 6:30 and told me that it did not matter we signed a contract. He then pulls out a UNSIGNED CONTRACT that we never even saw and said its right here it had to be in at 8am there's nothing we can do about it you'll have to call someone else. I told him he can not charge me for the second day that's not right and he went ahead and closed out then bill and wrote refused to sign on the signature spot. There was another lady there today when we returned the truck and when we told her what was going on she said we'll it's on the contract and we weren't training anybody yesterday she's done this plenty of times. I walked outside and called the corporate office and told him I was calling corporate because this was absolutely humiliating and I was told one thing and charged another. He came out locked the door and him and the lady working with him tonight got in his truck and left while we were still standing outside the door dealing with our situation. The corporate office apologized and is having the district manager reaching out to us and Cat was amazing. She took every word I said and noted it and contacted the district manager immediately to handle our situation but there was nothing else they could really do because Ace hardware is independently owned. But she directed me to budgets customer service where I spoke with Omar and as soon as I told him the beginning of the story he went and refunded us our money and apologized for our maltreatment. I will never return to this store. Their employees were disrespectful, condescending and they clearly are not trained well. (I had to ask to different employees to help me find where the dead bolts are for a door and I had to find them and show them what they were.) I would have had no problem paying for the 2 days if we weren't lied too in the beginning, or I would have brought the truck back at 8am!!! We felt like we had just been scammed. And I'm not even sure if we are going to get our deposit back yet, I can't wait to see how this goes down. Thank god i have photographic evidence. read more
