I stopped by Tribeca after a Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised with what I found inside! This is a smallish boutique but the clothing inside is quite diverse. There are casual as well as dressier items and a variety of items for both younger and older women. The sale rack was terrific. All sale items were 50% off of the sale price. The owner was there and was appropriately helpful. She wasn't overbearing but did add an opinion here or there when asked. I am so happy to have Tribeca in the neighborhood and I will certainly be back. read more

I had a great shopping experience at Tribeca the other night. They were having a sale, and my friend met me there to help give my wardrobe a badly needed mini-makeover. The owner was very helpful with suggesting items to try, and was never pushy. I found several great items that are versatile and fashionable, just what I needed. After shopping at Tribeca for the last 4 seasons, I realized that the clothes that I wear most often, and that get the most compliments on, have all come from Tribeca. They stock the store with very fun pieces that are also comfy and practical. Nice tops with great fabrics and little touches of feminine details. Layering pieces that you can wear across multiple seasons. Lots of silk blouses for going out. Fun dresses that are original. Good prices and sales, too. Affordable quality. I would say stop shopping at Nordstrom and other over-priced places and just spend some time in Tribeca finding the hidden gems. read more

I'm not really sure why there are so many positive reviews. I really wanted to like this place and I've given it a few chances. I know I wouldn't have been back after one visit except it's so close to my place and there is a huge lack of clothing boutiques in the west loop. The main problem is just the inventory is almost always just really bad. There are a few BCBG pieces thrown in, but they appear to be rejects or items that you would find in a clearance bin. That is clearly not the case as the price tags reflect. There are also some Susanna Monoco basic pieces with hefty price tags. But most of the clothing labels are unknown, the quality is poor, and yet extremely overpriced. A lot of the clothes are just odd and seem to be in the most unflattering colors and styles imaginable. I know style is subjective but... I'm assuming the owner or whoever is in charge of buying is a little eccentric. That's also a little obvious when you are shopping here- sometimes you are greeted and sometimes ignored depending on their mood. I also want to point out that there are no mirrors in the changing rooms, unless you count the small one hanging up high, in case you want to stand on a chair to check out barely your top half. This is very annoying since I don't think anyone likes to parade out of the dressing room in public (including people on the sidewalk) in a potentially unflattering, and ill-fitting piece of clothing. This boutique is pretty cute. I found the most fabulous orange dress for a party. It was so unique I kept getting compliments on it. The woman working there was so sweet and helpful. She helped me think of ideas or what to wear with the dress. It really helped too! The selection of jewelery is nice too. I found a funny gift for my friend who just had a baby. It said "got boob". How hilarious. Next time I am looking for a special outfit or even something fun to wear out I will go there. read more

I now have some cute, trendy clothes for the fall and winter. The owner was so incredibly helpful - I felt like she was my personal shopper. I told her what I was looking for, and she wizzed around the store picking up things that she thought I would like. She picked out the cutest "get 'em girl" blue dress - I would have never picked that out on my own because it looked so plain on the hanger, but when I put it on....look out! I can't wait to wear it. Then she helped me to find a necklace to match. Then there was another interesting asymmetrical piece that she showed me and I was skeptical at first, but when I tried it on, I did the little dressing room dance - you know when you try something on that's really cute, you do a little dance? (Maybe it's just me...) anyway, it was a beautiful blue color that really compliments my skin tone. I had a great shopping day today - I ended up coming home with some fabulous clothes. They always have so much cute stuff in the window and the boutique is hardly ever desolate. I have found a few clothing items here, but what I love most about Tribeca is the jewelry. I am a "plain Jane" when it comes to clothes but Kim was so helpful. She asked what I was looking for, what colors I like and so forth. Next thing I knew there were tons of great jeans, tops, dresses and tanks in the dressing room. She was very straight forward, which I love, but not pushy at all. I was debating between two tops and she even suggested the less expensive one because she thought it looked better on me. Very refreshing. The prices aren't terrible for a boutique. Imagine what their rent must be...plus I don't mind paying a bit more for such great service. Thank you Kim, I will be back!! read more

What a great spot! I love to find non-chain stores that have great clothes at reasonable prices. There's no attitude here...the ladies who work at the store are as helpful or give you as much space as you need. The only thing I do not like is that there are no full-length mirrors in dressing rooms and so you have to go out into the store to get a full view. read more

I live in the neighborhood and I have always wanted to stop in and finally did because of the cute dress in the window. I was immediately greeted with a hello however, no follow up on whether I needed assistance finding anything,etc. Maybe, I'm wrong but when shopping at a boutique, I would expect some personal attention or at least, "is there anything I can help you find?" The associate sat behind the counter the entire time. To top it off the dress I came in for was out of my size. I asked the associate if they had any more in size small, she said no and that was it....provided no recourse/suggestions. The store was empty with one other person who also didn't buy anything. I'm sorry, when you have no customers, may be you should get your butt off the chair and try to help them and make a sale. Also, there didn't seem to be enough size small in stock. Needless to say, I won't be returning to the shop. read more

I agree with Leah P. and Caroline A. I would NOT recommend this place. I was very disappointed in the lack of customer service. I walked around the store for at least 15mins before I had to go up to someone and ask a question. The woman looked at me like I didn't really have any business being there or like I'd crawled through the door and I'm in serious business attire! No one even bothered to say hello and there were only 3 customers in the store at the time. Despite all that, I bought this long knit sweater that after one washing lost ALL of the buttons, ugh! What a waste! There were about 10 buttons on the sweater. The sweater was $79! That's unacceptable to get one good wear out of the item and then it falls apart. For the staff to be so snooty selling cheap clothes is a riot! So I took it back in exchange for a new one, and the same thing happened again!!! I'll never go back. The clothes are quite overpriced and the quality is not good at all. I'd rather go to Forever 21, at least I know what I'm getting and it won't cost an arm and a leg. Very disappointing, I was going to tell everyone at work about this place, but no way! read more
